Great condo for spending time at Smith Mountain Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lake was great. The pool perfect. The owners there were very friendly. The sunsets were beautiful. Definitely will stay again.

We loved the location and the view! Having the pool on the property and being able to walk right down to the lake was also great! The condo and the kitchen in particular had everything that we needed. The owner communicated with us quickly when we had questions or minor issues. You are required to bring your own sheets as well as bathroom and kitchen towels, which is clearly stated in the listing (just FYI). There is a coin operated washer and dryer, but no washer and dryer in the condo unit itself. Everything was very clean. The only criticisms we had are 1) The large sectional sofa looks really comfortable, but the springs are shot, and it was difficult to sit comfortably and to get out of the couch. 2) The porch had SO many spiders and spiderwebs all over the railing, furniture, screens, and walls. Obviously, we know that happens with outdoor spaces, but it looked like it just hadn't been swept or cleaned off in quite some time. Overall, it was a great rental for our family.

Quiet location with beautiful view of the lake. Walking distance to a marina. Owner was responsive when we had questions.

The property was great. I have not used VRBO before, so I am not sure of the protocols about linens. I would not use a VRBO again if I am responsible for bringing linens. This requires more packing and makes the trip less enjoyable. However, the property was great and we enjoyed it.

We were down there for a wedding so the location was great for us. We had a nice stay even with Hurricane Ian looming around all weekend while we were there. There’s a convenience store about 5 miles down the road so that was helpful when we had a power outage due to the storm. I wish we could of enjoyed the outdoors a little more but it’s okay we still had a good time. Hope to be back!

The condo was great. The owner was very prompt with replies to any questions, or concerns that we had. It would be nice if there were covered boat slips at the property, but I understand that the owner has no control over that situation. Parkway Marina is just a mile away, therefore we kept our boat there. Nice get away.

SmL is a fabulous vacation spot. This property is a gem. Plenty of space for my family of 5. Breathtaking views of the lake, sunsets and sunrises.

Overall the property was cute- the condo itself accurate as described. I was disappointed with the lake access- there was none- only boat slips, no dock or ladder for swimming- feel that could be better described in the description of the property

We really enjoyed this place! The condo was comfortable and clean and the views and the pool were FANTASTIC. We filled the place to bursting with two adults, three adult sized teens and a 12 year old, but everyone enjoyed it.

We had a great time! The view was gorgeous! Will definitely come back soon!

We had a great time at the condo! The weather was perfect. This condo fits perfectly a family of 5-7 people. We liked that the pool was right directly at the condo.

The condo was clean & way more spacious than we thought it would be - loved spending mornings on the balcony! Great views of the lake & loved having pool access!

We had never been to Smith Mountain Lake before. We were surprised that there was absolutely nothing to do there. The closest restaurants were 45 minutes away and almost all were closed because it was out of season. The only one that was open only accepted cash. We had to drive to Roanoke to do eat and shop. If you have a boat, then you are all set but make sure everything is open and you know where all the restaurants are first before you book it. With that said, the property was nice and clean. The owners were really nice and very responsive. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and bring your own food, this is a great place. If you are looking for shopping, restaurants, etc., this is not for you.

We had a nice little weekend stay at this property. The condo is much bigger than we anticipated from the pictures which was very nice! There’s plenty of seating in the common areas, great for families who want to play games or have a meal together. The condo is in a good location, it was quiet and had a decent view. Couldn’t have asked for it to be much better.

We had a great time at the condo and on the lake. Crystal was very fast to respond and the place was clean. The beds were also comfortable. I would highly recommend booking here!

Other than the beds need updating, the place was so perfect! We rented a boat from great people near the condo dock was easy to use, just perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the view never got old. We brought our boat and being out on the lake never got old either. The condo was nice and comfortable. The only negative was that we did have a few items stolen off our boat the first night. We would stay here again.

Stunning views overlooking the cove at Smith Mountain Lake greeted us when we arrived. A family of deer were in the neighboring yard only a few yards away and were not startled at our arrival. Plenty of natural light in this end unit condo. Easy access to the salt water pool and docks. We went kayaking several times throughout the week and found the mornings very peaceful with calm lake waters. The State Park is only a few miles away with a beach and miles of hiking trails. The condo was well maintained with all the needed items to make our stay both easy and enjoyable.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at the lake. It was the perfect place for us to unwind. The boys loved fishing and swimming at the lake all day long. Park side marina was so close and very helpful with our rental. We can’t wait to visit again!!!

Property itself was a neat set up and the pool was great. Listing indicated linens were required, which is ok if you’re into making and unmaking beds then doing a ton of laundry after your trip. We made the choice that we were ok with it this time. But we didn’t know we would need to bring everything else until after we had already booked and it was too late to cancel. Toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, etc. Info that should be included in the listing up front.

My family and I visited property weekend after Memorial Day; upon arrival the view was amazing photos on website do not do justice for property is absolutely beautiful. Received emails/text from staff and owner, welcome information included dining, shopping and other helpful information. My 8 year old grandson put down electronics and enjoyed the outdoors; an excellent stress reduction getaway for the entire family. Being on holiday at this property was worth every penny spent.

We loved our stay! The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive, and the property was lovely with a gorgeous view of the lake. It was also minutes from the marina where we rented our boat. Such a fun trip! We will definitely go back!

We enjoyed our stay as a family of four and one dog :) Appreciated the big kitchen and spacious bedrooms, the pool, and quick access to the lake. Also the state park was only 2miles away, and was lovely. Only complaint is we wish we had better understood that the “third bedroom” was a loft open to the family room area below.
