The condo was great to fit our needs of space. We had an amazing vacation and really appreciated being able to check in early. An issue I had was the condo smelling like it had been smoked in. We tried air freshener but it continued. When we arrived home all of our clothes in our suitcases smelled like smoke. Also, for such a spacious family unit I was disappointed that there weren’t any beach chairs available to use as previous units at Destin West that we have rented have provided.

Best vacation ever! Was lucky to get an early check in. Clean condo with beautiful surroundings! Pools , ocean and jacuzzi all within a few steps! Can’t wait to come back next year!! Highly recommend for families and/or adults!!

This condo is beautiful and very clean! Perfect location. Facilities are meticulously maintained. The beds are comfortable. Water pressure is beyond great! The lanai is huge and has beautiful outdoor grill area. You are literally steps from the lazy river!

We loved the condo and resort, the quick walk to the pool and lazy river was perfect for us. The kids can’t wait to come back! Having the extra twin pullout chairs was exactly what we needed for the younger kids!

We paid quite a bit of money for a cleaning fee for the condo to be cleaned BEFORE our arrival not during or after. Check-in time was listed at 4pm. On the day of our arrival (Monday 3/7) I received a text at 11:34am and said we could check in early. Cleaning was not completed and the pictures we have are clear proof. Pictures will show red water scum on a shower curtain (happens only after months of not cleaning). There are several pictures with stains on the blankets and bedding. The blue blanket was taken out of the closet and about to be put on the bed when the what looked to be dried semen stains were found. Clothing from previous renters were left in a basket on the table in the front hall. A piece of candy was left in another basket. There was a brochure under another table and an empty water bottle on the bottom shelf. IF the cleaners did come in and do just a little due diligence this would have been noticed. I called the manager first thing next morning (Tuesday 3/8) , receiving a call back later that afternoon. I told her exactly what was found and evidence of it not being cleaned, asked her to come and inspect for herself. She said she could send the cleaners in to clean and I refused. I again told her to come and inspect the unit, we had already cleaned all the bedding the night before as well as cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. She said she would get back to me. By Thursday evening I had not heard from her and sent a text. Friday morning (3/11) she replied to my message stating they were not going to refund my cleaning fee because I would not let the cleaners in! This is totally unacceptable. I paid for a service that was to be provided BEFORE I arrived and did NOT receive said service. The semen stained blanket was enough of a violation not to mention serious health hazard to have her at the least come out and inspect it or send someone else out to inspect it. If there is a response from the management of course they will say something negative about this complaint. That will show the type of egregious attitude they have. The unit is consistently rented, some people will not care about the cleanliness and therefore they can provide any type of service they want. If you want proof, ask me, I'll provide the pictures. Unfortunately this response site doesn't provide for that.

The property manager was great with communication but Bc the dishwasher needed to be replaced, we were hand washing dishes for more than half of our vacation :( We understand. Pretty disappointed in this property especially after the raving reviews of cleanliness and location. Our first evening there we noticed our feet were turning black from walking around the condo (we don’t wear shoes inside because we have 2 young children) it was a Sunday so I knew management wouldn’t send anyone until the following day and I couldn’t take how dingy it felt so I mopped myself. I had to mop the whole place 3 times to finally get the floors clean- there is NO WAY that the cleaners did anything but vacuum this place before we got there. As someone who runs my own cleaning business I would be embarrassed of the so called cleaning job done here. Then I started noticing more things the cleaners did not even do, dusting being included. The doors, walls, baseboards and most furniture hadn’t been dusted in a LONG time. The shower had mold spots in it, it also didn’t drain properly so you stood in a few inches of water as you showered which is pretty gross. The rugs were so dirty and dingy they felt yucky to walk on. I had to clean off the keurig myself even. As far as location, it’s not a very quick walk to the beach.. if you use the bridge that goes over the road you have to use 3 separate elevators to make it to the beach, one set was broken during our stay so we were walking 3 flights of stairs with 2 young kids and beach toys. It honestly became easier to cross the busy 4 lanes of traffic than deal with the elevators/steps - which the traffic is another thing. The pool and the lazy River were nice, we did enjoy that especially because crossing to the beach was quite the hassle. The general location of the building is great as far as close to everything, but also extremely difficult to pull out of either direction because of the traffic along the road. It would take us over 5 minutes to even take a right out of the complex most times. The location of the room/condo itself is nice because it’s easy access to the pool. The listing stated “the kitchen is stocked with everything to make a gourmet meal or even snacks for the day” yet there was nothing but pots, pans and utensils. And some oil. Just overall expected WAY more from this place based on the description and even reviews, but came out highly disappointed.

We have stayed at Destin West 3 times. It has been great each time. We have stayed beach front as well as on the bay side lanai unit. Bayside is the preferred place for my family. I love to cook on the grill while the rest of the gang plays in the lazy river or pool. I highly recommend this resort as well as this unit!

Overall the stay was awesome. The only complaint I have is that for the first two days the pool heaters were not working. When we tried to tell the pool “security” they blew us off and told us it was 95 degrees. It was actually an ice cube. So after two days of people calling the managers and such the heater finally started working so it took another day for the pool to warm up. In summary we were cheated out of about 2.5 days of pool time. I think if the workers/management would have been more proactive and listened it wouldn’t have taken so long. The room could use some new dressers as one of them just barely opens and the other won’t stay shut. Overall though the room was in a perfect area to get to the pool, the beach access was amazing, the room had everything you need to cook. Having a grill was a huge bonus for us!

This condo was EVERYTHING!!! I see why it’s booked for the entire season!! The rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The bathrooms were big and clean. The balcony was GREAT, the best view you could have without being beachfront!! There were lots of pools, 2 hot tubs, and that beautiful lazy river!!!! All of this was right off our patio!!!! We took the boardwalk across to the beach, they said it was a 6 min walk but it felt more like 3!! Not bad at all!! When we got across there were MANY options for food and drinks!! (We visited the (CrabTrap) numerous times (great crab cakes) and the places were right on the beach!!! The condo had beach equipment already there for us (big plus) and more things available in the garage (we didn’t use, but good to know). Margaritaville, Crab Island, and other fun activities were just a few minutes down the road!!! WE WENT PARASAILING!!! All in all we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else after staying here!! This place was everything I look for when choosing a vacation spot!!!

The condo was clean and suited our needs perfectly. The outdoor space was amazing. The family loved the place.

We had an amazing stay!! Perfect amount of space for the 9 of us!! The weather was all over the place so the hot tubs were great! We can’t wait to visit again!

This is an awesome place to stay with kids, location is perfect, and they loved the lazy river. Will definitely book again!!
