As a place that’s ideal for horses, the Stable House is also an idyllic place for hiking in the woods, spotting Christmas ferns, observing roaming deer, and enjoying bird watching. Our family played croquet on the lawn and enjoyed reconnecting inside the comfortable home by cooking up meals, playing games and watching movies together. A well-planned visit to Lake Lanier’s Christmas Snow Island was a highlight for all ages and only a short drive from the Stable House.

We stayed 6 days and would have been happy to stay more! There were two of us with our two dogs. We have been visiting and renting in Georgia for about 10 years at least once a year. We primarily selected this rental for its location while meeting our other needs. We have family in Flowery Branch and Stone Mountain. We like to make it out to Lake Lanier and to the premium outlets. We also to get a mountain hike in. This location enabled us to do all that and more. Additionally, we were able to really use the fenced backyard to run our dogs playing fetch any time we weren't out. We primarily used the master bedroom and bathroom. The other rooms (two bedrooms, two living room spaces, a dining room, and a kitchen) were all sizable and well furnished for families or a larger group. Overall, the listing was accurate and I would strongly recommend to anyone else that is looking for what it has to offer. We are considering making a second trip in a few months just to come back and spend more time in the area because of how enjoyable this rental was.

Needed place to stay with our two dogs for a wedding in the area. Choose the Stablehouse because of location and fenced in yard. House and property were as described. Dogs loved the large fenced in back yard and chasing the deer when they visited. Recommend this property and would stay there again.

Our stay was delightful! The pictures online reflect what you will walk into. It is a very cozy home that is well appointed and clean. The beds were very comfortable and linens were spotless. It was spacious and roomy for 8 adults (one came over from there nearby home). We were traveling with our small pets and the large fenced in back yard was perfect! I would definitely stay here again. The only suggestion I have, which is a minor find, is to rid hanging cobwebs from the back of the home which were visible from inside window views. Understandably, the surrounding woods, which I love, will attract spiders and other insects so it wasn't a trip spoiler by any means. Just a small suggestion would be to spray outdoor parameters and doorways to deter unwanted guest. We had three large palmetto bugs intrude our space, but we took care of that. These are normal finds for any wooded lot homes....I often treat my own home to prevent this from occurring. Overall, I loved this home and what it offers for families with pets.
