We had a lovely time at the gorgeous, old schoolhouse. The character and history of this building was very interesting and the fact we could light a fire in the evenings was great. Also, the many heaters and electric blankets provided seriously helped with a very cold Woodend weekend.

The schoolhouse is perfect for a getaway - not a long way from the city but far away enough to escape the hustle and bustle. The accommodation is surprisingly generous in size and has everything you need to unwind and relax in comfort. The owner is very helpful and responsive to messages.

What a cute little cottage. Seeped in history and beautifully presented with sufficient modern touches to make it a lovely place for a romatic getaway. Loved that the bathroom was well stocked with lots of high quality goodies and that the bed was very comfortable and warm.

Your Old School House is absolutely delightful, comfortable and cosy. That rain shower was magnificent especially after a restful nights sleep. We also enjoyed the history of the property.

The property is just as spectacular as the photos show. It has a lovely ambience and we loved the high ceilings. The surrounding gardens are also very impressive. The owners were very accommodating and during that really hot Boxing day they provided us with additional cooling fans. We would certainly stay there again.

We stayed at the Old Schoolhouse for the weekend to visit open gardens in Macedon. The property is clean, the gas heater was efficient and the bed was extremely comfortable. Suzanne was a friendly host.

Beautiful historic School House getaway
Lovely, period accommodation in Woodend with lots of modern comforts. We had a delightful stay at the School House and we loved the open fireplace.
Our host Suzanne made sure we felt comfortable, with very nice breakfast provisions and touching base before our arrival. The location was very good, nice and quiet but close to Woodend and all the wonderful places you can visit in the area.

Peaceful cottage
Lovely 1870’s original schoolhouse. Modern bathroom, great kitchenette & plenty of welcome gifts, very nice. Hopefully in better weather & with more businesses open in the surrounding towns. The open fireplace when lit creates a lovely ambience in the cold climate. We look forward to returning, We look forward to returning. Greg
