Location was great with an amazing view of the harbour. A few issues checking-in as I had filled out the forms numerous times but they said I didn’t so I had to go to the office with family and luggage to get keys. The floor always felt a bit dirty and looked that way too. Needs instructions for washer as it was difficult to figure out. Otherwise we did love our time in Malta and enjoyed our stay.

On arrival the driver we had booked told us he was in the car pick up point and we were told to look for a dark Peugeot and given a no plate. We tried the agents no, as there were numerous car parks, exits from the airport and although only 8 completely dark. It was totally impossible. It took around half an hour for us to find each other, after very rude conversation with driver and then on arrival at the apartment we were told we had to pay 35 euros for checking in after 9.00 ! There was not even a bottle of water left for us, so had to go shopping. Then discovered air con did not work, two of the sink plugs were jammed so could not discharge water and the TV had no signal. We had to keep windows shut due to mosquitoes, so dreadful first night. Tried once again to get the agents the next day to no avail. Fortunately we still had drivers no. so contacted him to get a repair man out for us, which I have to say he did. Air con just needed new batteries, plug was broken. The bedding and towels were really not fit for purpose, particularly the worn old towels which appeared grubby. All of this could have been checked before we got there. Only found washing machine on last day, hidden in a cupboard outside. We had no instructions for anything other than emergency numbers, no information whatsoever. After 4 days the lift broke down and we were on the 7th floor, one of us having had a knee replacement 8 weeks earlier.Awful experience

Overall this apartment had what we were looking for. Beautiful views of the harbor, easy access to the ferry and other transportation, as well as shops and restaurants of Sliema. The only negatives were the towels that looked very old and dirty, the pillows, which were very flat, and there were no extra blankets, which I realize isn’t generally an issue. There were no instructions or detergent for the laundry unit, so it was unusable for us. All in all, the location is prime, and the furnishing is adequate.

The place was nice and much larger than we expected. The outside balcony was nice and an inside balcony provided a place to enjoy the outside view without having to go outside. The bedrooms were on the back side of the property which meant they were quiet and away from the street. The major negative was the broken bed. A previous renter had bent the metal bar that supports the bed and broken some of the wooden framing resulting in a bed that badly sagged in the middle. I reported this and management said they would look into it. However, they were not very responsive so I’m not sure they’ll take of the problem and may have known about it already.
