My family and I had a wonderful time spending a few days at the lake. What a view sitting on the dock looking at the lake with the mountains surrounding. We enjoyed our time and wish we could have stayed several more days.

House was as advertised. Everything needed was provided. Very clean and will rent again.

The house was very comfy & well stocked with everything we needed for our family gathering. The kitchen supplies were over the top with all that our chefs needed to feed us their fabulous meals!! The outdoor porch was a perfect gathering place and down by the water set up was made for relaxing by the water's edge!! Wonderful place!! Thank you!!

My family and I all came from different states come together for a family weekend. Thanks for this wonderful residence we had a fantastic time. Poor weather didn’t stop us from having an amazing weekend inside. We got to meet the owners and they are lovely people. Overall, I think we’ll be back again soon.

We had a wonderful week at Water's Edge. The house was very clean and comfortable and the outdoor area was beautiful. Internet was realiable so I had no issues working remotely on a rainy day. The owner was responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back again! Arina&Tom

We were looking for a lakefront place for our family's "Lakesgiving" gathering...and we found it! Water's Edge offered us a lakefront home with easy water access and a waterfront firepit...and a hot tub!!! This home was clean, comfy and provided a well stocked kitchen. Did we mention the awesome lakefront deck with top quality gas grill and outdoor furniture...perfect! We highly recommend Water's Edge....you won't be disappointed.

Our 4 person group was looking for a nice place to stay on the lake for a long weekend. This place was perfect and we enjoyed every minute. Parking was a tad tight pulling a small boat but we made it work. The dock made it convenient that we did not have to trailer the boat every day.

This house will not disappoint! It is the perfect size and has a great setup. There is a large entry/mudroom, a cozy, but spacious family room and kitchen area with a half bath, and two very generous bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. This property has the most well-stocked and labeled kitchen. Although it is tight, it is perfect for a vacation home! It should be noted that the main two beds are on the softer side, there is a little road noise due to the property being so close to the main road around the lake, and one should watch their step around a few places such as the drain towards the bottom of the boat ramp near the dock. These things were really only personal preferences and should not be held against the property! The owner is polite, easy to communicate with, and willing to help, but does not interfere. We really enjoyed having this landing spot for visiting family in Boone, NC. The road is a bit curvy, but beautiful! We also went to Moses Cones' property and the Blue Ridge Parkway on another outing and it is just far enough to make a nice day trip from the lake home. Our family also traveled to Jonesborough, TN for the storytelling festival pre activities one day. Pristine lake and a well-kept home with a very clean hot tub!

The house has everything you need and Brenda the host is great to deal with. Have never been to this part of TN but it is beautiful with the Smokey Mountains as a back drop the the awesome Crystal clear lake. Only thing would be parking is tight and a good climb up from the dock to the house! Would highly recommend this property. Thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful waters edge home.

Extremely well-appointed Lakefront cottage.

We had the best weekend!!! House is clean and stocked well, the location is immaculate, and you MUST rent the boat because the lake and all its views are simply stunning. We will be back! Brenda was extremely responsive all weekend and a fabulous host.

Everything was awesome! We did think there was a sleeper sofa that actually folded out, but our tweens were just fine sleeping on the sectional with large ottoman. We'll definitely come back to stay a longer time!

Water’s Edge was the perfect cherry on top to our vacation on our favorite lake. The setup, amenities, the dock and patio areas and the view, the list is endless. Not to mention we thoroughly enjoyed the hottub and it’s view. A perfect place to create many great life memories!

Our family doesn't take vacations too often out of town. This was the 2nd time in a couple of years since we were able to. After finding this listing here on VRBO, we were very excited to get down to Butler and enjoy some fishing and time on the lake. After talking to Watauga Joe's fishing charter, Joe told us that Watauga Lake was the 3rd cleanest lake in the nation. We had the best time. We caught a 16" catfish off the dock and fried it up. During our Chartered fishing trip, my son caught a 24" Lake Trout. We brought it back to the house, cleaned it up and baked it. Honestly, it was THE best fresh water fish we have ever eaten. We lined the bar out on the porch with aluminum foil and parchment paper to clean the fish. (We disinfected when we were done like it never happened!..lol) The knives at the House were super sharp and filleted them with ease. We were able to catch up with the Owners a couple of times during our stay. They were so helpful and very very nice. They told us about an awesome bait store just north of the house and about a few key restaurants to hit during our stay. We love the Mom's and Pop's places to eat. Amber Country Kitchen was sooo good. Other places were Pleasants Market, Maddy Moe's Pizza, Merchantiles for breakfast. Our favorite place though was in Elizabethton (about a half hour drive) Bid Dan's BBQ!!! You must visit Big Dan! BEST BBQever!! Bed's were comfy and the A/C was cold! TV worked great for when it rained out but while we were there the weather was awesome. I can't speak enough greatness about the Hosts. They were so nice and easy to work with. They seem like fun folks to hang out with (wish we lived closer hehehe). You will enjoy your stay here and is most definitely worth the time and money spent. We hit the Dollar General up a bunch for lunches and grab and go breakfast stuff. Amazing the selection they have there and not to far up Rt.67 in Mountain City are fast food places and other spots for whatever you need. We will be back. Such a NICE place!!! Highly recommend. Super clean, nicely updated and appointed rental. Dock was great and hot tub was as well. We had smores every night in the fire pit. Had everything we needed - and everything was labeled (kitchen drawer and cabinet labels were awesome!!). Only recommendation would be to have a sleeper sofa in the living room. Would definitely consider renting again if Brenda would have us back.

What a place!!! Wish we could’ve stayed longer. The house was great and as advertised very clean and great beds! Very good communication and boat rental although it’s not a must with a great dock I definitely recommend getting out in lake. Beautiful back deck with table and grill to enjoy the nights. Will definitely rent again

The location is perfect ! The owners are amazing ! The house is very well appointed! A relaxing and fun get away! Fishing , kayaking , pontoon boat rides, brought our ski boat and skied and tubed…hot tub in the evenings, fantastic restaurants to dine at ! Subas was our favorite! We definitely plan to return to enjoy this piece of heaven!

I cannot recommend this property enough. We spent a week here. The home was the perfect size for two couples, and the lake views were absolutely beautiful. We spent hours swimming in the lake and jumping off the dock. The home was well furnished, very clean, and the air condition worked well. We rented the boat through Brenda, and it couldn’t have been easier. She brought it right to the house for us with a full tank of gas. We cruised the whole lake for days and it was a dream vacation. We will definitely be back!

Amazing rental! This vacation was by far one of the most relaxing for our family. The rental is everything and more that it describes. I highly recommend renting the pontoon boat that the property owners offer as well. Property owners are very friendly and easy to work with! If your looking to relax with a beautiful peaceful view,this is the place for you

The whole family really enjoyed this house during our early spring visit. Furniture and beds were all comfortable, and the house was super clean and well decorated. We loved the outdoor deck, especially the bar table and grill area. Was really nice to sit outside and see that beautiful view! We did rent the pontoon boat (the owners were very helpful and responsive for this step especially!); we enjoyed getting to see the rest of beautiful Lake Watauga. Overall, great house and great time was had by all!

First impressions were outstanding! You can tell that the Brenda and Tim care about their property and their renters. Our family vacation on Watauga Lake was an adventure and not long enough. We own and operate a cleaning service, so the very first thing we typically do when we rent any house, is clean it first. This is the first time in 10 years, I haven't had to do this. Everything was clean, the linens, towels and beds were soft and comfortable. We all commented on how peacefully we slept. Hottub was perfect temp, Clean and not overpowering with chemicals. We rented the boat which was in itself an experience for us. (Even made a stop to the Emergency room to remove a hook from a finger) Hiking the AT, Kayaking, Fishing, Fires, Chess games, Bags, Swimming in the Lake= Priceless Family Memories. So grateful for the time we had and we would definitely be back.

What a great spot on Watauga Lake! Peaceful and serene! Beauty awaits you from the inside of the home that is tastefully decorated, the easy living floor plan that brings the outside in with the wide open french doors to the covered porch overlooking the lake. The kitchen was great for cooking meals with our family and we enjoyed the outdoor space for eating and grilling at the bar area. The beds were super comfortable and lots of room for everyone to space out! Brenda and her husband were wonderful hosts and always available to answer questions! My family and i look forward to staying here again in the future!
