We are a 3 generational family from ages 24-86 on a weekend getaway to reconnect. This home has a bit of Parisian flair mixed with undeniable Dutch culture making it a fabulous getaway! TOP on our list of accommodation recommendations. While our stays in vrbos may be extensive, we have never stayed in a holiday home with such complete and boundless amenities. The thoughtfulness given, from the decor to the niceties, obvious hosting families in your vacation rental is a labor of love for you. The movie theater, s’mores around the fire pit, relaxing in the hot tub, meals & games around the beautiful dining room table are the memories which last forever and will be shared with many. Not to mention what a hit the candy machine, the popcorn popper and that fabulous game room was for all of us. Check in & instructions for property were clear and concise. Definitely hope to rebook! We stayed at the funky Dutchman for 8 days. My cousins and I do a family vacation once a year and this year we met in the middle in PA. Kyle was easy to work with and responded quickly to all my questions and concerns. The house was fully stocked with TP, trash bags, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dishwasher tabs, foil, plastic baggies, and so much more! You basically just need to show up with your clothes and enjoy! The neighborhood is beautiful and has lots to do that’s close by, including a brewery across the street. If you have littles with you, cleona elementary school has a beautiful playground that’s about 10 mins away (you can play there as along as school is not in session). My whole family enjoyed walking the path, playing basketball, playing on the playground, and more). The house is also located 15-20 mins from Hershey park and Hershey world! We will definitely go back in the future!

The hosts- absolutely amazing! Extremely communicative and helpful. They were on the ball about absolutely everything. I never waited for a response about anything, somehow they were always immediately available, even in the evenings! The home - SOOO immaculately CLEAN! I’ve stayed at other clean properties but something always gave me the “ick” ex. Stray hair in the shower, dust on an appliance, not great smelling bed sheets etc. Somehow, not one thing in this home made me feel like other people stay there too. It was all so clean and smelled clean! Not just like they used febreeze to cover It up. The amenities in the home were great as well. Everything was covered. You needed It, the home had It. The backyard was great, we had some rain but the way the landscaping was done; there was absolutely no puddles or standing water, definitely something you appreciate when walking the yard to the garage. The hot tub was amazing too! Just as clean as the inside of the home. The location- the best part was the walking distance to multiple bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and good places too!! The 15-20 min drive to Hershey was convenient too! Overall this stay was 10/10. I’m not usually one to repeat my stays because I like to see what else is out there but I absolutely without doubt will be booking this stay again. Truly, one of the best.

A complete gem of a find! We absolutely loved your place! The owner's have thought of everything! The home has been beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, from funky to fantastic in all areas! Before we arrived, we had great communication, with pictures as well. We arrived to a cozy comforting home. Their guidebook is clear and informative, not only about the home and how everything works, but also about the surrounding areas. The activities within the home, including games, books, dvd's, game room, theater room, hot tub, grill, smores, lawn games, popcorn maker, cozy blankets and much much more. All of the little things you need to make your stay better, they have provided, including tea, coffee, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, baggies, seasonings, olive oil, shampoo, toothpaste and more! A true gem, thank you for making us feel at home! We have are own VRBO, that we have decorated and provided all of the upgraded necessities as well. This place was so nice plenty of room and entertainment. The owners thought of everything.

We enjoyed an extended weekend with our adult children and young grandchildren. The house was as described. It was very clean and well stocked. We really enjoyed the game room. Unfortunately we ran out of time to use the fire pit and outdoor games. Communication was great with Kyle.

We just wrapped a great stay! Can’t recommend this house enough. We had 2 families with kids aged 7-1 and there was plenty for everyone. There was actually so much provided with the house we didn’t get a chance to do it all- s’mores, popcorn maker, pool, yard games, arcade, all the TV streaming services. Great location to get to Hershey, farm tours, restaurants, grocery stories. The house was so clean. Everyone slept great since the beds were very comfortable. For the littlest kids it was great to have everything needed already at the house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Funky Dutchman! The house has everything you may need for a family vacation plus many wonderful extra features that we really appreciated. We enjoyed the close driving proximity to Hershey and the coffee shop and restaurant within walking distance. Kyle and the Brown family have thought of everything and take very good care of the property. We hope to visit again soon!

The house had everything - we had 6 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of room! Comfortable and thoughtfully designed, the home was stocked with everything you could need. Close to Hershey and other fun activities (Turkey Hill experience). Owner was responsive and kind - Highly recommend

We absolutely adored the charming decor and the kids loved the arcade! The backyard was a nice little oasis after the kids went to bed to enjoy a drink and plenty of room to just relax. The property had absolutely everything you could possibly need for your stay including qtips and flossers. Would highly recommend!

Each room we came through had so much thought in it. There was all the extras a person needs to enjoy! The location was great to Hershey (we were here for a wedding), we were able to walk a few blocks to a great local coffee shop. Our young adults loved the brew pub right across the street! (you HAVE to get the crab pretzel) The house itself was amazing, just as described and would definately stay again. We own 3 VRBO's and are even taking a few ideas back to ours! Thanks for a great 3 days of relaxing and enjoying family.

Our family enjoyed our stay. Kids loved the game room. House was very clean and well supplied. We chose the location as between Hershey attractions and Amish area. Plenty of good activities. If you are not used to traffic, there was noise from trucks. House sits directly on street.

My family had a wonderful time staying there. My grandkids loved the game and the fire pit was a nice addition for s’mores. The only downside to staying there was the house is located on a busy street so it was a little noisy at night. But, I would still stay there again.

Kyle and family provided everything and more! Loved the house (minus the traffic outside) but the inside and backyard made up for it. Had a hard time getting family members out of the game room😂. So much fun! You can walk to great restaurants/coffee shops. Short drive to putt putt and Hershey Park. We didn’t want to leave. Also the beds are super comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved our stay.

The property was awesome! The owners put some many amentities and littel extras into the property, it was amazing. We stayed the weekend of my daughter's graduation from LVC. It was so much better than driving back and forth to Hershey and we had fun hanging out at the house and the firepit in between graduation activities.

The house was lovely. They thought of everything! It was nice to have a garage for the car and a fenced yard for our dog. My only issue was the noise from being right on main street. However, the house more than made up for it.

The property itself is fantastically renovated and furnished. Not a single speck of dust, clean and fresh linens, updated appliances, plenty of space, and loads of extras included by the host.

Would rent again if the need arises.

The game room knocked this weekend out of the park! Walking through the home was an experience itself. Such thoughtful design and user friendly items. Loved our stay at the Funky Dutchman! The entire house was spotless and full of fun surprises! There are so many interesting things from the fun decor to the comps we discovered in just about every room. Only complaint would be the street traffic noise through sleeping hours...but it's definitely worth it to stay and enjoy all the wonderful things about this property! If you're lucky enough to be able to get out, this area really is cute and we can't wait to come back and see more of that! Amazing place with very attentive owners. So happy we found Funky Dutchman! Hopefully, we will be able to get back soon❣️

Stayed at the Funky Dutchman for the New Year’s weekend and had a great experience. Kyle and family were super responsive leading up to the stay and listing/pictures matched or excessed our expectations. The property was very kid friendly which was a huge plus. Would highly recommend.

The Funky Dutchman is the perfect place for a get together. My family chooses a new place every year to meet for Christmas and this one is one of the best we have stayed at. So many things they thought of to make our stay enjoyable. Close to Hershey so we took the little ones to Chocolate World. Enough seating for everyone. The kids (and the adults) loved the game room. And what a great backyard!!Everyone in the family kept saying what a great place this was! You will NOT be disappointed by staying here!!

Three generations met at this lovely home to celebrate Thanksgiving. We had everything we needed to cook and serve our holiday meal, the hosts even left some extra goodies to help make the week more special. There were so many extra amenities throughout the house, and everything was so clean and comfortable. There was something for everyone, games for the kids, game room for everyone and a wonderful coffee bar for the adults. We definitely look forward to coming to stay at the Funky Dutchman in the future!

Had to stay in the area for a wedding, and built in a Hershey trip for the kids. Out of all the surrounding avails/towns, this property definitely stood out and we are so glad we stayed. Owners did an amazing job on renovations, combining historical with new touches, and they are extremely responsive. They also provide so many helpful items to enhance your stay - snacks, baby items, cleaning supplies, etc. - which helped us avoid having to lug a pack and play, highchair, etc. Did not get to use the outside fire pit (smores kit provided!), but had fun with the game room and streaming services. Location is good - on the Main St. in Annville, with a solid brew pub across the street and coffee spot few blocks away. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
