The views are great at this property! The owner, Terry, also gave us wonderful suggestions of local places to visit and things to do. The condo building has 24/7 security and we felt very safe there. The bathroom counters are low for taller people, but everything was clean and well-stocked.

We were pleasantly surprised at how great this place was to stay, the location is amazing with access to the park and proximity to all Hilo has to offer. The unit was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It was perfect for our kids and us. The living space is well laid out and gave us the perfect balance of simplicity and amenities. Our host Terry was also helpful when we needed anything and very clear about details when we requested them. I would highly recommend this place and plan to stay here again!

This condo was perfect for our stay in Hilo. There were so many pros to this rental: convenient location, easy to access, well-stocked kitchen, spacious 2 bedroom/2 bathroom layout, comfortable living room, parking, communicative owner, and the list goes on and on. This condo was truly a gem and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

This place had everything we needed. It is all up to date, including appliances, floors, bedding and kitchen supplies. Thanks for the great space. I spent each morning on the lanai with my coffee, the sunrise, and the koi swimming below.

The best appointed vrbo-type place I’ve ever stayed. Fully supplied kitchen. The beach chairs and cooler were such a great amenity! Night tables on all sides of the beds. Terry even let us know when the lava came back to the park. The view from the balconies is quiet and peaceful. Walking distance to the main tourist street in Hilo. The only negatives: the building and apartment security is pretty minimal (we didn’t have any problems, but a deadbolt would feel a little more secure than just the knob lock); and the stove has been cleaned so thoroughly so many times that the labels are all gone, so it took us a while to figure out where to set the knobs to cook. I would happily stay here again.

It is an older property on the outside but "don't judge this book by its cover". While we were there, maintenance was working extensively on updates, repairs and some remodeling. The bottom 2 or 3 floors were rooms rented and converted to businesses offices. The upper floors were the actual suites for visitors and tourists. It was my wife that was most impressed with the cleanliness of the unit although the kitchen area was a challenge with 2 people trying to occupy that space. The furniture and appliances were in very good condition including the bed which reclined when you wanted to read or watch TV. The location was walkable to downtown Hilo for the ambitious, but a car would be recommended to get there. We did not use the pool but did use that area to BBQ one night. The pool did not appear to be inviting in that the furniture lounge chairs were screwed into the concrete therefore leaving guests to one place to enjoy that day. View from the lanai was very nice although very small. We did spend a few nights there enjoying cocktails and the view but cramped. All in all, the place was nice. I did give it 5 stars rating but it's more like a 4 1/2 star. Rounding up, I will give it a 5.

This property is centrally located in Hilo and the beds are very comfortable. Parking was fine and it was nice to have a covered spot. As others have said the condo is dated and could use updating. The bathroom cabinets are very low. The living room has no curtains/blinds which it does need. The unit could be better stocked with things a traveler needs – we had no tissues, no sponge, no colander, no beach/pool towels, and only one beach chair that we could locate. It would be helpful to have these things in the unit. Owner was responsive when we had one issue with the TV.

This view from this condo was awesome. We had coffee on the balcony every morning. Check in was simple. And the bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms so my husband and I can get ready at the same time. I highly recommend this condo in Hilo if your journey takes you to the east coast.Also had great sunrises. Thanks for a great atay.

Our family had a great stay. The property was located in the heart of Hilo, close to many of the shops as restaurants we had planned to visit based on friend recommendations and internet research prior to arrival. Beautiful views of water, manicured lawn, and trees of the Wailoa River State Recreation Area. We vacationed as a family with two adult children. My wife and I stayed in bedroom one, one of our kids stayed in bedroom two, and one of our kids slept on the sofa bed in the Living Room. The sofa bed was comfortable enough, but at the time of our stay the Living Room did not have vertical blinds installed, so there was no way to keep that room dark in the mornings. Each room has its own A/C unit, which kept things cool and comfortable at all times. Terry was a great host - responsive to messages and emails. He provided us with a comprehensive list of things to do and to try in the area. We would definitely stay in this place again, if available, on our next visit. Aloha!

Serene views of the peaceful lagoon are the main reason to stay here. Every morning we woke up to a quiet, lovely, view of the park and lagoon. The condo itself is dated, but comfortable and spacious. The beds were comfortable. A separate living room and kitchen allowed for some privacy. The condo was conveniently located, by car, to all of the Hilo-side attractions. Our host's recommendations for restaurants and attractions were spot on. We had nothing but great dining experiences!

The location in the park is beautiful and peaceful. Wish we had time to sit on the balcony and enjoy it. Walking distance to shops/restaurants. Condo is well equipped and decorated nicely, especially the bedrooms. Living/dining/kitchen area is on the small side, which was not a problem for us. We've stayed all over Hilo and would definitely return to this condo.

Although this building is older the place was great. Had everything needed for a great stay. Quite, secure, convenient location, spacious ( except the shower which must have been built for someone 5-foot ). We would stay here again.

This home was clean, great host, everything was available and great location.

Quick weekend getaway for a hula competition in the area. Everything in the unit was exactly and describes/pictured. Close to all amenities, parking was a breeze and the host was very communicative. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

We’ve stayed in several rental units over the years and this was the best, by far!! It was unbelievably clean and fresh smelling! They even left extra towels and supplies in case we needed anything or forgot anything. Terry was an excellent host, keeping us aware of everything in advance and helping us out! I would give this entire experience a 10 if I could! Breathtaking views doesn’t begin to describe the beauty of this wonderful place!!

Great two bedroom two full bathroom unit with awesome views and good location. Had fun with two young kids. Plenty to do around Hilo with kids. Highly recommended!

Beautiful view of the state park ponds; ducks and koi fish in a water feature that ran along the entire back area of the building; excellent, prompt communication with Terry; very clean; super comfy bed; great air conditioning and water pressure; within walking distance of some restaurants.

The only thing I would say is the living room is not configured well. It was not comfortable for 3 adults. I would move the tv where the couch is and get a bigger couch

Loved the property! Each bedroom has a bathroom and they’re separated by the living room / kitchen areas, so there’s quite a bit of privacy for each room.

The condo was basic but very nice. Very clean and everything worked. The view overlooking the park was beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice place to walk or run. The condo is on the 5th floor, but there is an elevator, so no problem. We had our own parking spot in the garage. The location is central Hilo, so close to everything. Not too far from nice beaches. Richardsons beach was our favorite. Great snorkeling

This condo has everything one needs, great stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds. We were really happy and the condo more than met our expectations.

This two bedroom condo was perfect for myself and grandkids. Was close to everything I needed and everywhere I need to be. The condo had a good view of the lagoon with an eastern view which allowed us to catch the sun first thing in the morning. This place has everything you need to cook, eat, bathe, and go to the beach with. I'm ready to book for my next trip back home in July.

This was my favorite stay in Hawaii by far! I spent every morning sitting on one of the lanai chairs looking at the beautiful view of the park and ponds. I can't think of a better place to drink my morning coffee. The park is a great place for walking! The condo was extremely clean and everything felt new and fresh. The furniture and beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook up killer meals. I am a total foodie and cooked most of my own meals, but also ordered several through DoorDash and had someone deliver meals right to the front door. I was on a working vacation and I appreciated the desk and office chair in master bedroom. Wifi was super fast and worked great for my many ZOOM meetings. I was impressed that the living room and both bedrooms had smart TVs. On my last day, I swam in the pool but wish I had taken advantage of it sooner. I was the only one there! I didn't have time to use the grill but hope to use it next time I return. I found the location to be excellent as I was walking distance to shops and restaurants and also to downtown. I did like how the building had 24 hour security. That was a nice feature. I am already dreaming about staying there again!
