This cottage is quintessential Maine, just what we were looking for. The property was clean and well-maintained. The management was very quick to respond when we were unable to figure out the internet and all was resolved quickly. If we would have had more time we would have stayed longer just to enjoy the cottage and its location. We traveled to Acadia all three days of our stay, a couple of our group took the ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor which they really enjoyed. If you're looking for a quiet cottage with a water view away from the populated areas around Bar Harbor then I highly recommend Lobster Cottage.

The house was a great way to spread out during our exploration of Maine. We loved every touch they provided. The home was so clean, well organized, and comfortable.

We stayed in this adorable and immaculately kept house that was right on the water. Coffee, sunrise, and fishing boats started our mornings. On our first day, we drove to Winter Harbor and took the ferry to Bar Harbor for the day. On our second day, we drove an hour to Acadia to see Cadillac Mtn and other sights. It was a perfect out-of-the-way Maine stay for all of us.

Our stay at the lobster cottage was wonderful! I’m so glad we chose to stay in the quieter part of Scoodic point. Plenty of things to do and great food options we love the winter harbor market. we would definitely like to return sometime soon

We loved staying in this part of maine! The house was great, only downside is that the stairs are VERY steep and the upstairs banister felt short. We worked it out but with the kids going up and down a lot, and my 74 year old mother as well, I just a little nervous about it. Everything else was great and I would rent again!

A great getaway spot! Loved the view of the lobster boats on the bay. Cozy and comfortable space. We loved sitting out on the porches. The house had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

We had a great time in Maine, and while we did not spend much time in the rental (mostly just sleeping) what we did was great.
My favorite thing about the rental is how easy it was to find. It is well located on the main road for the area, and the color scheme stands out so it is almost impossible to miss. This made coordinating with other folks super easy.

Easy to find, cute, loved the view. It was a little deceiving… looks like it’s right on the water but actually it’s across the street. It said 8 miles from Acadia National Park but we actually had to drive 1 hour to get there. Towels were stained and banaster was broken. We enjoyed our stay and would have liked to have had more time there.

Really enjoyed our stay at lobster house. It is about an hour's drive from Bar harbor, but it was really quiet and very close to the water. You get beautiful views of the night sky and sunrises. The host had set up cute little packages of bath products, laundry and dishwasher products. There are TVs in every room. We enjoyed our stay here. It can be a bit of a drive to bar harbor, but there are other beautiful views points near lobster cottage like Schoodic Point and Ravens nest.

Beautiful little cottage was the perfect size for the 5 of us. Appreciated the new appliances and mini-split air conditioning units. Water pressure was amazing! And that cozy front porch to watch the lobster boats come and go, well it couldn't be beat. Just a note: maybe make future guests aware that the beds are VERY soft, just so they know. And maybe add a picture of the stairway? Thanks again for a great stay!

The house was very cute and we enjoyed the view from the house. When I had a question about the towels, the response was quick. A suggestion is to have extra towels in an easier place to get to if needed.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was perfect for our needs, check in and check out were effortless! Loved the added touch of some essentials - shampoo and conditioner, a fresh sponge and dish soap!

My husband and parents enjoyed three wonderful nights at the Lobster Cottage. The house was clean, and equipped with everything you might need! The only thing that was a little stressful was the steep pitch of the staircase. My parents navigated it well, but had to be very careful.
The views of the harbor, lighthouse, and lobster boats was the perfect Maine experience. The local area is charming and has several GREAT dining locations. If traveling to the area, I highly recommend the Winter Harbor ferry to Bar Harbor; what a fun and beautiful boat ride.

Property was extremely clean!! Everything you would need is readily available. About an hour drive to Bar Harbor/Acadia. We were only there a couple days so not entirely sure on proximity of restaurants…..ate in Bar Harbor. Beautiful view right actress the street from the house.

Our family really enjoyed our stay! It was a safe and quiet getaway, with wonderful amenities and a fun theme throughout the cottage. We also loved the close proximity to the Bar Harbor ferry.

The cottage was cute and clean The weather was not our friend but no one to blame but Mother Nature and we don’t want to get her stirred up

Everything was perfect at the Lobster house! We are annual repeat guests. Every year we discover more things in the area. This year we found the bell shop down the street and got a lovely bell. They do demonstrations two days a week. We also found a great farm a few miles past the bell shop where we got meat and vegetables. We also had a nice time at a beach nearby. We will be back next year!

I loved this VRBO! The communication throughout the entire stay was amazing. They sent multiple texts prior to check in to make sure we had everything we needed and checkout was a breeze. The best I’ve seen!
This house is further outside of town but that’s what I was looking for. I liked that it was away from the crowds. Sitting on the porch watching the boats come in is exactly what I think when I think Maine. The drive to Acadia wasn’t too bad and there’s lots of small towns in between to grab lunch, snacks or groceries. This house felt like a home and was perfect for my family!

We are a traveling family of five (2) 17 year olds and (1) 11 year. This house was prefect for us. Everyone had a bed and we had plenty of room. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The house was clean, no issues.
The ferry to bar harbor is about 15/20 minutes away- unfortunately we booked a little too early in the season and the ferry was not running. It did take us about 45 min to drive into the main part of the park but it was an easy drive.
I would recommend to family and friends we who are looking for a stay in Maine.

We adored our time at Lobster Cottage. Beautifully maintained home, quiet & peaceful area with wonderful views of the water! Well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds and living spaces excellent. The only limitation is that all the bedrooms are upstairs, so wouldn't recommend it for those with mobility issues.

We stayed 5 days at the Lobster Cottage. It was perfect. The cottage is decorated perfectly with lots of beach/lobster touches. The beds are comfortable and the linens are wonderfully comfortable. The cottage feels private. There is a road between the cottage and harbor but it is quiet and easy to cross. The harbor is fun to watch and can be viewed by the porch and balcony. They did not miss anything you will want or need for your stay in the cottage. It is about 1 hour to Acadia National Park but we enjoyed the ride back and forth and always found things to see and do. The cottage is near the Schoodic Peninsula or the quiet side of Acadia. We loved that area so much as it was beautiful and less people.

All modern conveniences in a charming cottage! The location is great for exploring Acadia National Park at Schoodic. There are good places to eat in the area. Some of our favorites were the Pickled Wrinkle, Lunch on the Wharf, and J.. D. Gerrits. I would definitely stay at the Lobster Cottage again.
