One of the best vacations I have ever taken. This home was perfect for 2 couples. The beach is 20 feet from the side door. You really should wear good water shoes to get in and out of the water, the coral/rocks are alittle rough on the feet. We spent hours in the water, snorkeling, kayaking and just hanging out and drinking cocktails. The house has a few items to float with, a noodle and a another floatie. There are 2 kayaks, we used one and went to Rhythms. (you can also walk there, just a 5 min walk down the road). The home had everything we needed, towels, good beds, fans, beach towels, beach chairs, pots, pans and a wonderful coffee bar. The ice maker makes ice, but you will need to get more if you plan to make blender drinks. We went to Dominoes Club (pigs drink the nonalcoholic beers, drove thru the rain forest (you should have a jeep the roads are alittle tough to drive on), hiked Isaacs bay, walked around the shops in the West End, made small meals at the house and basically relaxed. All of the reviews are accurate and we agree...West is Best. Hosts are very responsive and we hope to be back next year. Thank you so much! I would definitely recommend staying at the Salty Pier.

There is nothing like being right on the water, listening to the waves day and night. The Salty Pier Beach House is the perfect getaway and has everything you will need to enjoy your vacation. We filled our time with snorkeling, sunbathing, reading, listening to music, eating great food and relaxing and watching the sun set right into the water. There is plenty to do and see on St Croix whether you want to tour the island, go out on a boat, see the rainforest, shop for island trinkets, go out to eat, or just stay home, the Salty Pier Beach House will be the perfect fit. This was our second time staying at the house and once again it did not disappoint. We love the location and find the home very comfortable with all the amenities you could need.

The Salty Pier Beach House was absolutely amazing and I've never stayed with more amazing hosts...the property is stunning from the comfortable space, including the beds, to the fully stocked kitchen, the wide range of water sports (snorkel and paddle boards) supplies, and finally the view. From start to finish this was the best rental experience I have ever had and I cannot say enough great things about this space and the hosts. Thank you to the Salty Pier hosts for making our trip so amazing.

We had an amazing time at The Salty Pier House! We enjoyed listening to the waves day and night. We spent every single morning sitting on the beach with our morning coffee (made using the amazing coffee bar provided in the house) and many afternoons and evening enjoying the views from the beach! It was just what we were looking for. The house was extremely well equipped and you can just arrive with your luggage and a quick stop at the grocery store and you wouldn't have to leave again if that is what you chose. Also, the beds were extremely comfortable, which is so hard to come by at a vacation house. This was our first visit to St. Croix and we will definitely be back, the beauty is unmatched. We absolutely loved the laid back atmosphere and all of the friendly people! We did the full day tour at Buck Island, the sunset tour from Frederiksted pier, the Captain Morgan Rum tour, the Sion Farm Distillery tour (mutiny vodka, etc.) and we had an amazing time on each one! We did rent a vehicle and drove to many of the scenic areas, including Udall Point, Isaacs Bay, Sandy Point Nature Reserve and Monks Bath Beach. We also had a couple of meals at Rhythms at Rainbow Beach and it was amazing and had such beautiful views. This was hands down, the best vacation we have ever taken and we were so sad that it had to end! We will definitely be back to the Salty Pier Beach House!

We just spent a week at the Salty Pier Beach House in Christiansted, St Croix and had a wonderful time. The house is ideally located less than a mile from Christiansted and more importantly is located directly on a very private beach. The house is very well equipped with everything you will need inside the house and out including kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment, beach towels and beach toys. The owners were very accessible and easy to work with. We highly recommend the Salty Pier Beach House and are already looking forward to our next stay.

Our stay at the Salty Pier beach house was spectacular! The view of the beach/ocean was just what we were looking for. My friend and I both had our own bedroom/bathroom with an ocean view, what a wonderful way to wake up in the morning. The snorkling was wonderful right off the beach at the house. Right down the road we walked to Rainbow beach and enjoyed a wonderful meal and sunset, along with watching the cute dogs on the beach. Cruzan Cowgirls horseback ride in the rainforest and on the beach was the best! Mike's taxi was great, he took us to Christiansted for the day. Great food and shopping. Fredricksted we walked to, had a nice little grocery store and a bar and grill I believed called Top of the Grill, nice place to play a game of pool and have a drink. Overall our visit to St. Croix was just what I was looking for; serene, relaxing, and I will miss waking up to the sight and sound of the ocean.

We really loved staying at the Salty Pier! The place was everything we wanted in a vacation home. The only thing we would recommend is to be sure and wear some bug spray if you intend to sit out on the beach after dark. Can’t wait to come back again!

The house is amazingly well equipped with just about everything one could want. The owners are accessible and very helpful. Loved the huge, fully screened porch along the entire ocean side, just 50 feet from the water’s edge and facing west so you get sunset views. The beach is sandy but once you step into the water the footing is uneven rocks and coral lumps. Not the best for snorkeling. Location is about a half mile out of Frederiksted, convenient for reaching restaurants.

Perfect place for our family to stay at on St. Croix! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back, the beach literally could not be any closer, step right outside and on the beach. Kids loved the paddle boards and kayaks, snorkeling was okay outside the house but downright amazing at the Frederiksted pier. Amazing views of the sunset from the beach or gallery, wonderful consistent breezes and nice ceiling fans allowed us to keep the windows open and not have to use the AC. Convenient laundry area, useful kitchen, plenty of spaces to sit and relax. Walkable to Rainbow Beach or in town to Frederiksted.

Wonderful place! Footsteps to ocean, awesome snorkeling right outside the door. Very clean and comfortable, great location, restaurants within walking distance. Snorkeling at the pier was amazing, turtles, rays and many other fish. Do yourself a favor and getaway from it all at the Salty Pier.

This house was soooo much better than any picture. The owners were lovely to deal with in all aspects. The house is DIRECTLY on the water and the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks is absolutely amazing! The screen porch was so wonderful to watch the sunset with no mosquitos!

This is the perfect house and location for an epic and relaxing St. Croix getaway. Highly recommended, amazing hosts, excellent property. Easy access to the entire island with the Caribbean sea right off the back patio.

What a lovely home to stay at with everything then some. No need to leave the home once you pick up groceries unless you want to. The beach in the back yard was lovely! Loved looking at all the shells, sea glass and snorkeling. Feeling relaxed and and sad to leave!

Salty Pier is perfect in every way. The hosts are attentive to your every need. The house anticipates and satisfies every want. The location is beautiful for enjoying a private beach, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, or enjoying the sunset in the ocean with a beverage of choice! Great for lovely morning walks along the sea or into Fredericksted. We love to walk to/from dinner and there are plenty of great choices within walking distance. The DiAnnie's have done an amazing jon of fixing up and restoring the house. We visited in the off season so it was very quiet and relaxing. The snorkling off their beach is amazing and the peir is nearby for even better snorkling. The house has everything you need to make your stay easy. I will definately be going back....as often as possible.

This was our fourth trip to St. Croix in the last two years! We love staying on the West side of the island! They say West is Best and it is so so true! We normally stay a few doors up in a 1 bed condo but with cousins coming we needed a bigger place! The Salty Pier did not disappoint! We were able to take a quick peek back in April (our third trip) to check it out! Susan was super accommodating to allow us to make sure it would work for our needs! They made the booking process easy! Great communication prior to returning in September! Great welcome drink waiting for us when we arrived! As we did pick September, we knew there would be a chance of Hurricanes! Well, Fiona decided to swing by two days after we arrived! Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed in case of no power! Even though they were not on island, they had someone bring by a new generator so we would have it if we lost power (we did for only 1 hour). How many hosts will do that for you?!?! The home is absolutely perfect for two couples or a family with a couple of kiddos! Right on the water, beautiful sunsets (yes we did have a couple), amazing wildlife (hermit crabs, real sand crabs, nesting sea turtle, birds, Cruzan pooches) especially the life in the water just in front of the home! We were able to snorkel for a couple of days and WOW the sea life was AMAZING!!! Kayaks and paddleboards (we did not get to use) were right there for your use! They really thought of everything for this rental! We love to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed! Did I mention the fully stocked coffee bar?!?!?! Comfortable beds and furniture! Plenty of towels and loved the grassy area by the house with lounge chairs! Just down the road from Rainbow Beach and Rhythms! We normally dive with Nep2une Dive shop so just a mile away in Frederiksted! We highly recommend staying at The Salty Pier when you visit St. Croix! Great hosts, wonderful home, Amazing location!! We loved it so much we have already made a reservation for next June! (No hurricanes please)!

I was so pleased with the beach house! It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. We used the kayaks to explore the beaches around us, prepared meals and delicious cocktails in the well equipped kitchen, watched the sunset from the beach "in the backyard" and slept to the sound of the ocean waves in very comfy beds. I highly recommend this property and hope to return soon!

We spent the week with our two college-age sons at the Salty Pier House and loved it! Being on a (basically) private beach was amazing. The house has everything you could ever need on vacation and everything is high quality - beds are super comfy (not always the case with rentals we've had!), nice towels, perfectly decorated, kitchen and baths are well equipped, and more! They have thought of everything to provide an awesome stay including a warm welcome when you arrive and a super helpful book of recommendations. (And they were always very responsive!) We loved sleeping to the sounds of the waves (rooms have AC, but we never need to use with the fans and ocean breezes!) and loved waking up to sip coffee on the front porch or on the beach under the palm trees. We snorkeled the reef off the beach (AM and PM) at the house and even saw a turtle, ray, huge green moray eel! We also enjoyed sipping drinks at sunset on the front porch at sunset. The beach is beautiful and the sand is so soft... found lots of shells and pieces of coral and seaglass. (They recommended bringing water shoes which we used and had no issues getting in/out of the water.) In town, we spent a lot of time snorkeling at the pier and diving with a company there (and agreed that 'West is best' for this). We saw lots of turtles, tons of fish, coral, a ray, reef squid, moray eels, and an octopus! After our swims, we also loved grabbing a bite at Pollys and the other places right there. We also ventured to many other fun places on the island. Highlights were a trip to Buck Island and Turtle Beach and hiking to the tide pools for a swim! Kids also did the ATV tour. We randomly found a cove in the beach up the road (drive past Rhythms maybe 5-10 min) with lots of pelicans diving and swimming - so fun to watch! We found this vacation because of review posted by a friend... so thankful we did and hope to be back :)

We had a fabulous time at The Salty Pier House! We enjoyed listening to the waves day and night. It was quiet, peaceful and most importantly it sits right on the ocean with perfect sunset views. Our time at the house was filled with beach time, warm water swims both during the day and at night, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, short walks to town, and night after night of cocktails on the porch watching the sunset. It was just what we were looking for. The house was extremely well equipped and you can just arrive with your luggage and a quick stop at the grocery store and never have to leave if you don't want to. I have been coming to St Croix for over 40 years and this was my first time staying in Fredricksted and I will definitely stay here again!

Our one week at the Salty Pier was simply incredible. The owners did a wonderful job communicating with us before our stay and we had no trouble finding or checking in to the house. The rental was more like a second home and everything we could have possibly needed for our stay was provided--enough cookware to actually make a meal, beach towels, water gear, and toys perfect for our toddler, comfortable chairs/sofas and plenty of space to relax and enjoy ourselves. The rooms were a great size and our bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the option of leaving the windows/sliding door open to hear the ocean at night, or closing them to sleep with the A/C on. We were also soo glad to be able to walk out the back door and onto the beach. Every morning our toddler was out playing in the surf and looking at shells/rocks. We did swim a few times, but the area had quite a few sea urchins, so we opted for other nearby beaches (all within 15min walk/5min drive) for swimming. We loved being so close to Frederiksted--really just down the road!--and had many great meals and take-out options. Plus, it's a very cute town. One thing to note is that the sunsets are AMAZING from the property! We loved making rum cocktails and enjoying the incredible views from the beach chairs. One evening we took the kayak out to enjoy it from the water. We didn't use the SUPs, but did have a great time on the kayaks. Again, everything including life jackets is provided and the beach is a great and easy launch point. All in all, we had a fantastic time and can't wait to come stay again!

This was an amazing place to stay. the house was great and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The beach was 30 ft from the house and was amazing. Great snorkeling just off shore. Looking forward to coming back soon.
