Property was exactly as shown. Absolutely beautiful! We loved the outdoor patio area for relaxing by the fire after a day out exploring everything the area had to offer. Inside had everything we needed for a group between 10 and 75!

The pictures do not do the home justice. It’s just beautiful. Very homey too. We had 3 young kids with so wanted to cook at the house. They had spices and nice cookware. Will absolutely stay again when we’re in the area.

We had our family Christmas and had a wonderful time! Plenty of space and seating for three families with kids of all ages. It was unusually cold during our stay so we were unable to enjoy the outdoor area, we hope to be back when the weather is more suitable!

Beautiful place and house. Fit our family well. It was so nice to come there after sightseeing and relax and enjoy the outdoor space. Spacious kitchen worked well for our family. Prompt response when we had a question. Very good to work with.

We were a multi family group staying at this location. 6 Adults - 8 Children. The location was absolutely fantastic. The space was great as well. We enjoyed the property as much as we enjoyed visiting the landmarks. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a larger rental. Thanks Jeff.

The property was well maintained and stocked. The outside covered patio was amazing and our group spent a lot of time out there. The nightly wildlife shows were enjoyed by all! Location provided easy access to Custer State Park and the Black Hills.

Top notch! The owners of this home went above and beyond what we normally expect. They thought of everything possibly needed and more. The property itself is beautiful, large and updated. We traveled with our 3 daughters, their spouses and 6 kids. There was plenty of room and so much to do- games, ping pong, sauna, jacuzzi, shuffle board, and private hiking trails. There is a great covered porch with bar and grills. The pictures on VRBO look great, but don’t do it justice. We could have stayed there the whole time, but it’s so close to all the attractions we could bounce back and forth. We plan on making this a annual event!

Recently my family spent a week at this amazing house in the hills! The location was great and the house itself was amazing! Would definitely stay there again!!

We chose South Dakota for our annual family trip (9 adults, 6 kids). This home was perfect for our group. The kids loved exploring the property. The outdoor space was the most used. The home was very clean and had everything we needed.

This property was perfect for our large family trip. The house was comfortable and met all our needs and then some. The location was centrally located for the many destinations we visited.

The home was beautiful and well stocked. Such a wonderful spacious area for our family of 8 adults and 6 children ranging from age 61 to 10 months and a good almost halfway location for our family from Washington and Illinois to meet. So much to do and see and the home was centrally located to all. We weren’t able to do everything we would have liked so will definitely be going back in the future. The outdoor area was fantastic and we spent most of our downtime there while the children enjoyed the garage game area. The hosts were welcoming and very responsive to our messages. No one was disappointed!

The property is situated in a location that made getting to local attractions a breeze! We rode the 1880 Train, visited Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Bear Country, Reptile Garden, Deadwood, Spearfish Falls, Badlands and Custer State Park! We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was perfect for our needs. The outdoor area made an ideal place to unwind and talk about the day. The grandkids and I painted water color pictures on the outdoor bar area several times and roasted marshmallows for s’mores each evening. The hot tub was exactly what our adult children needed for some laughs and late night chats. Thank you to Jeff and Laura for your hospitality! We hope to be back!

This was a great space to have our friends and family gather as a stop on a camping adventure. We were able to park the four motorhomes in the drive and have a few nights of non-motorhome stays before we continued on our adventures. The outdoor space is spectacular! Plenty of room for outdoor games, shelter from any adverse weather, and having the deer come up to the house was icing on the cake!

The 12 (5 adults and kids aged 6 to 15) of us had an amazing time seeing as many Black Hills sights and then relaxing at this beautiful vacation rental. The house is beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, garage games played by all and the outside patio was the perfect spot to relax at night in the hot tub or with the fire pit under the stars. Jeff and Laura were amazing in booking, check in and giving info during the week by email. They even checked to find a time for the lawn to get mowed and not bother us. We saw deer right off the patio many nights, a rainbow, and we were thankful to have an area in the garage for the 3 rental cars to be kept safe during a few evening storms. We used to live in RC from 1992 to 1988 and it was great to see the sights again through the eyes of our grand kids and friends who came along all the way from Delaware. we visited Pactola Lake, Story Book Island, Dinosaur Park, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Hours, Iron Man Road, Custer State Park, Badlands, Wall Drug, Mammoth Site! A fun time on every place we went and the house was located central to all. If we return some year again to the Hills we will definite come back. We needed to accomodate a large group for our daughter's wedding at Custer State Park. This was the PERFECT setting! Incredible covered patio with hot tub, sauna, outdoor kitchen, seating and two large tv's was the showstopper! The home had beautiful finishings, bar area was a nice surprise and the kids liked the ping pong table in the garage (and plugged in the playstation to play games when the weather was rainy.) The kitchen was well appointed ..two ovens..large refrigerator and had a full pantry of spices. Plus there were casual and nice dish sets and glasses and cups. Lots of fridge space as there was one in kitchen..bar and garage. Primary bedroom had large walk in closet and shower! If you are looking for a memorable stay in the Hills, this is the place!

This is a great place to stay. Very nicely decorated and clean. Perfect for our group of 12.

We enjoyed this house a lot. We've stayed with a group of friends and family in around 25 houses so far in the past 20 years and this had our favorite outdoor patio area of all of them so far. Great location if you are looking to do stuff in the Hill City, Custer, Keystone or Rapid City area.

Was just like the pics and description!! Was nice to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the balcony and watch tv! It was amazing!!

We rented this home for an office retreat. There was 11 of us. This home was AMAZING! We had our meetings outside on the spacious patio with plenty of seating and outdoor fire pits. The kitchen was perfect with enough room for everyone to help. We even got to watch our Wyoming Cowboys win a football game on the outside TV’s while sitting in the hot tub. Laura the owner was in constant contact in case there were any questions or concerns which there was none. We will be back that is for sure!! Thank you for everything, it was a trip we will never forget 🥰

This property was more than we imagined. It setup great for our family and was close to everything we wanted to experience in the Black Hills. Great outdoor area with lots of wildlife walking by.

The Buffalo Lodge is incredible - it was even better in person than it appears to be in the listing. The amount of space, the natural setting, the features inside the house all contribute to making this place so amazing. The owners have thought of everything, our stay was so luxe, so above and beyond what we expected. We gathered our immediate family at the Lodge and hosted a small intimate wedding on the grounds and it was absolutely perfect! It was more beautiful than we hoped for, and Laura (host) was so accommodating and made sure that we had everything we could possibly need or want for the wedding. She really made us feel taken care of and not just like another client. There are so many gathering places inside and outside at the house, it was fantastic. The kids that were in attendance were occupied the entire time with things on the property, that was so nice to not have to worry about. I highly recommend this stay for groups that include various ages, it was perfect!

the cabin itself is GORGEOUS!!! We spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor area - in the hot tub, relaxing on the patio and enjoying the deer & turkey that went by daily! We were sad to see our time come to an end and are already talking about our next visit!.

This is a great place to stay. I’ve been to the Hills several times, but this deck is the most relaxing place to be. Hosts were nice and accommodating. We are so appreciative and would gladly book again.

We had an excellent stay at this property. The hosts were fantastic and very responsive throughout our entire stay. The whole family at all ages enjoyed the house. The outside area, in particular, was a great hangout spot for all ages of the family, and the location was a great staging point for all the Black Hills attractions. The hosts have done an amazing job stocking this house with anything you will need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We would love to stay again.

Everything went smoothly and renters and cleaning staff were helpful and welcoming. They thought of everything and I’ll probably never go the hotel route again after how nice this was!

This property was beyond our expectations! The owners were very responsive and made sure all the little details were taken care of. We liked that the house was one level…no stairs to worry about. The large, covered outdoor space was a bonus. There was something for everyone…hot tub, sauna, game area, places to hike, outdoor cooking options to list a few. Beautiful property…..made lots of memories. Don’t hesitate to book this property.

We rented this property to gather in the Hills as we had a memorial service for parents (aged 97 and 98) and do some vacation activities. It was a wonderful site to host evening meals and socializing. We did not all stay there, but it was large enough to graciously accommodated our large group. The location was so convenient to Rapid City, the Badlands and Custer State Park.

We had an amazing stay . The house is absolutely beautiful. Wonderful spaces to gather. We loved the outdoor patio, spacious kitchen, and bar area. The hosts were so welcoming and timely with communication and readily available if we needed anything. Everything was truly perfect and exceeded all expectations. We would love to return.

This place was GORGEOUS!! The outdoor space, the outdoor patio, the amenities and personal touches were fabulous!!! They left a bottle of wine, candies, and a card were such a nice personal touch. There was also an accumulation of leftover food and supplies from previous renters as a pay it forward that was so nice because there was no waste and if we forgot something, there was a chance it was there. The master bedroom was fantastic, the laundry units were top notch, there was great indoor space for all of us, plus things like a high chair, pack n play, plenty of towels, shampoo/soap/conditioner dispensers in every bathroom, TVs, so much fridge space, and the garage rec area. I could go on and on. And on top of it all, the location was perfect!!! Close to attractions but removed enough to feel like you had private space in your own woods!! Can’t wait to return!!!

We have been renting VRBO for 18 years and this home with all the amenities and special touches that owners Laura and Jeff include have made it our most memorable easy vacation ! From appliances to outdoor cookery to bed linens to coziness of seating areas this home was the Best ! The outdoor area was beyond imagination , hot tub to shuffle board to ping pong we pretty well lived outside . Had wonderful meals on the smoker and loved the hot dog rotisserie ,enjoyed ambiance of the fire pits ,outdoor lighting and electronics. Hermosa location was cental for all activities . Could go on and on but you need to see yourself ! TOP NOTCH !

Everything was perfect! Communication was fast and owners thought of everything. What an incredible place to stay!

This is a great place to stay for a big family get together! It is very spacious and the patio is amazing! The cabin is located in a quite, peaceful area but isn’t too far of a drive to Custer or Keystone! Jeff and Laura were great to work with and communicated with us throughout the whole week. Definitely would stay here again!
