Our family loved our stay at the ThunderDome. If you are looking for a quiet place with plenty of space and a nice view, this is it! Such a unique home that is clean, inviting and cozy. The location is perfect if you want to get away from the city but still in close proximity to many enough that it’s a short drive away from many attractions. We would definitely stay here again!

What a fantastic idea. Our family picked this geodesic dome for our weekend family vacation because of the fun and unique design of the space. The backyard airfield is also a fun idea and our boys just thought that was cool. Here’s what we loved this location and why I highly recommend choosing this vacation rental for your next trip. Communication with the property owner was prompt and informative. The house is on an acre (looked like to me), super easy to find, and reasonably close to all the Denver attractions. Granted, it’s an older house, but everything was very nice. I especially loved the tall vaulted ceiling. Also, the two bedrooms upstairs were not heard from downstairs in the master bedroom, so some acoustical dampening must have been installed (nice!) We also loved the outdoor patio and fire table which made one morning special. The Pac-Man game and jute box also were a bit hit. I also felt that the rental was reasonably priced. I’m sure I could find something to complain about, but life is all perspective. For all of the above, I give it 5 stars and our family will definitely be coming back!

The host was very kind and kept communication open regarding some maintenance to be done to the property at the very beginning of our stay, cant help the weather. The Thunderdome itself was very comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood where houses were very well spaced apart and each charming in their own way. This is in stark contrast to the bulk of the housing developments we saw in and around the area, large homes, tiny yards, and tightly packed together. If you're looking for something quaint, quiet, and relaxed, this is the spot for you. If we come back next year for the Shaw Classic we'll most likely stay here again.

The neighborhood is very peaceful and has great views. The Dome has a great view!!

Excellent experience. This was our 1st time renting a home instead of a hotel stay. It was more than we could have imagined. Everything was very clean, plenty of room to sleep 8 people of various ages even. Everything was well stocked and accomodating. Quiet area and great location. We did day trips every day and the location was a great asset. Needless to say, our experience has spoiled us on renting homes instead of settling for a hotel. We highly recommend this home to anyone traveling.

had excellent communication with the owners! When we walked in it smelled so good and was spotless! 5 yr old grandson loved the jukebox and the Pacman machine! It was quiet and so peaceful! Also got to see hot air balloons and 1 airplane! coyotes were howling last night, some might not like that but I loved it, they were aways out. If we ever need a place again this will be our go to place!! Thankyou so much

Great stay. It was quiet, clean, and had what we needed. Will be great fly-in destination one all the planned improvements are done. We would stay again.

We had a crew come out for my daughter’s graduation. Grandma and grandpa, their small dog and my other daughter and infant son. We were all very comfortable in the “dome” and it was perfect for our family. I saw in the listing the arcade machine and didn’t think much of it until we got there. It was a hit with everyone and there were lots of competitions. We didn’t get to use the deck and fire pit because of the rain but it looked like a nice place to hang out. We would definitely stay there the next time we are up in the area.

We needed a place to stay while our new home was being built. It was a perfect location and the owners were so generous in letting our dogs stay with us as well!

Very convenient location for a reunion with relatives who live by the airport. Owner personally came by to help with the tv. If anything a information sheet regarding tv etc would be helpful

The house is brighter and more spacious than in the pictures. We enjoyed the unique location -- we saw hot air balloons and horseback riders in the morning and a few small planes taking off. Our boys enjoyed the PacMan and the large flatscreen TV. The host was very welcoming and communicative. There was a heavy smell of cleaning chemicals upon entry. Our boys did not notice it, but we slept with the windows open. Convenient to both Longmont and Boulder.

Homey, loved seeing the airplanes. We also enjoyed playing vintage game console. Dome house very unique and loved the skylights too.

House had everything we needed. Concert at the Red Rock a must! Enjoyed mountain views and air balloon riders from the large back patio. Great location and not far to check out several surrounding area eateries and activities. Hope to return to the thunder dome.

Everything was great , let us know when we could check in early and had plenty of toiletries. Place was very cozy and clean, kids loved it.

This home was just what we needed--a quiet place to crash while we attended a family gathering nearby. The kids loved seeing all the sights of the neighborhood (planes, goats, mountain views), and it had plenty of space for five of us (two parents, two kids, one grandma). The hosts were communicative and responsive when we needed a little help.

We enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect for exploring Boulder and surrounding areas. We had everything we needed at the property and the host was very quick to respond to our questions. Host suggested the Rusty Melon and it really was great! Thank you for letting us stay at The Thunderdome!!!

Nice place to stay with four adults. Anymore would be very crowded. Upstairs more conducive to kids. Very clean and quiet. Property manager wonderful.

So impressed with our hosts, Tammy and Greg. So very accommodating to all of our needs! The house was very clean and had all that we needed to cook and have a good time! Would highly recommend!

The place was spotless upon arrival. Perfect getaway for my wife and I. The amenities were great. Arcade machine made me think of my younger years. The icing on the cake is that this neighborhood is connected to an air park so my wife and I were able to sit on the porch on a beautiful day and watch the planes cruise over this community. Tammy was also an amazing help and an awesome communicator!

This is a great place! Very spacious and bright and a quiet neighborhood! Beautiful view of the mountains! It was perfect and Tammy was a great host! She was quick to answer our questions and helped us when we got lost! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We will definitely be staying here again! Thank you!!!
