The house was perfect for our family. The pool was a hit with the kiddos. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location of house was easy to find. Shopping center only 5 minutes from house. My family really enjoyed the stay!

This house was perfect for us while staying in Hickory for our daughters wedding. 3 bedrooms upstairs and a futon downstairs in the basement. The kitchen and pool were great! We would definitely stay again! Thank you for hosting an unbelievable event!

We had a wonderful family vacation. The home was clean and comfortable and the pool entertained our 4 girls. Access to the lake is limited but we did not have a boat so we’re not planning to use the lake anyway.

We all had a great time. Plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the pool everyday and of course the back deck. This is our 2nd year staying here. We have family 30 minutes away and 90 minutes away and they were able to come over each day. The area is super nice and we ate at a great restaurant called FOURK.

We loved our stay here. Everything was as stated online and one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. We ate most of our meals outside on the deck enjoying God’s beauty! Will definitely stay again.

My 10yo wanted a family vacation in the Carolinas. Well, this was perfect! The pool, of course, was the biggest hit and there was a neighbor kid (8yo) that made friends with him quickly. The beds, bedding and towels were to die for. Plenty of cookware and utensils for home cooked meals. The outside garbage was full but that was no biggie because a friendly neighbor offered to take it. The property owner answered within 15mins with a check in question. Overall 10 out of 10 experience

The property was very nice!! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool though our week was mostly rain. The house was very comfortable. It was a peaceful place. We loved sitting on the porch, seeing the lake and listening to all the birds. The owners were very responsive and helpful when we had questions. It was a great vacation!!

We really enjoyed our stay and spent most of it at the private pool. The house had plenty of room for all of us and was well stocked. Nice location close to Hickory and right next to the marina. We hope to come back for a longer stay and get use of the kayaks. Adults and kids thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

The whole family had wonderful time. Really enjoyed the pool, it was great for family. House was as advertised, clean, beds and furniture were comfortable.

We enjoyed this home for the 2nd year. Owners are cert responsive and the house is well stocked.

There were 8 of us staying at the house for a wedding at a nearby venue and I choose this house based on price, proximity to the venue and the pool. Unfortunately it rained all weekend and we were only able to enjoy the view of the pool and the lake. My only criticism is the lighting in the master bath as it was insufficient to do makeup. Two things really stood out for all of us. (1) very comfortable beds (from the mattress to the bedding) – including the futon downstairs and (2) Kitchen knives that not only matched but were sharp and cut food rather than tore it. The kitchen was well equipped with durable, good quality appliances, cookware, flatware and dishware. This is an older home, but we could tell from the time we walked in that the owners were very considerate with the decisions of furnishing and equipping the home for their guests. Unfortunately it was very rainy and chilly for our visit and we were not able to utilize the pool or the lake, but did greatly enjoy the view with my morning coffee from the deck. We will definitely consider this vacation home if we are back in the area for another family event.

Clean, spacious and comfortable is what my wife had to say and I agree completely. This was the most fun I've seen my wife have with our kids. My kids did not want to leave. We enjoyed the property and will be returning.

We had a great time staying at this house . The pool was very clean ! We didn’t get to use the lake much because the access was very low and old. But overall we would definitely come stay here again!!! Thank you for the terrific location to Hickory only 10min drive to the wedding venue!

The house is in a great location. The house has allot of issues. The tile was terrible and a real trip hazzard especially with the transition with screws sticking up everywhere. The door handles to the down stairs sliding doors were broke, and coming out of the door. The stairs are very dangerous especially for kids or the elderly. The steps from the parking area isn't lit up and very dangerous. The house wasn't cleaned very well and the trash containers were over 1/2 full from the last time it was rented. The house is worth $150 night at the best. The shower head was broke in one shower and the one in the master bedroom had hairs stuck all over the tiles. This house is a pig with allot of lipstick. It sounds like it's pouring down the rain from the Ac Trump lines when the air is on. And the bedrooms are cold. All the heat stays in the kitchen and living room. We were very unhappy with our stay. We could have rented two rooms at the Hilton for the price of this rental nightly and had a much safer and cleaner rental. Oh and the cheap laminate floors and terrible tile floors can't hide the huge dips and sags in the floors underneath. This house needs allot of repairs. And our review is very accurate and we took pictures.

Very well maintained house and property! Kitchen with everything you need! Large clean pool with diving board! Kayaks aplenty! Actual lakefront is a bit muddy but great for kayak access.

Something to do for everyone. The house was decorated well, and was comfortable. The pool and kayaking separated this house from others we have stayed at, we used them every day and had a great time!

This place was perfect for our family vacation, we really enjoyed the pool. The deck and the grill. Close to the marina where we rented a boat for the day (great staff there) huge lake to explore. There is also hiking / biking trails close which were really nice an mostly shaded. We are already talking about returning next year. Thank you so much

We rented this property for a 3 night stay for a get tg with friends. The rules state that events ARE allowed but no more than 10 over night guests. So we abided by those rules. First evening neighbors called cops because someone was parked by their property, cops showed and car was moved and everything was fine. Owner told me everything was good and to enjoy the rest of the stay but no more incidences. No further issues. Next day owner calls and says they are cancelling our reservation because we had more than 30 ppl at the event the day before. NOWHERE was this listed as a rule. There was no maximum capacity listed other than the overnight rule, which we abided by. We were given an hours notice to be off the property or be arrested for trespassing. We obliged and cleaned up and when owner showed up a walk through was done and he said everything was fine and he appreciated us cleaning up. Then a few days later he says we “tore up the yard” “left a mess” and the house smelled like smoke. But yet the walkthrough done with him he said all was fine… long story short, we only stayed one out of the 3 nights and only got refunded for one night. My issue is that our reservation was “cancelled” because we had 30 ppl there but again, nowhere was a max capacity listed and it said events were welcome so not sure what we did wrong. So just be careful if you rent this place and plan on having an event there.

Our stay was great! The pool was fabulous - clean and well-kept with a beautiful view. They also have a table w/ umbrella and pool toys. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots/pans/cookware needed to make meals. The outdoor patio also looks out onto the lake and is a great place to relax. A gas grill is also on the patio which was a convenient addition. The big screen TV in the living room was a nice addition for when we were done hanging out outside and wanted to wind down. Overall a really lovely place with basically everything you need for a fun-filled weekend getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay my grandchildren had lots of fun in the pool.The beds were comfy and the house was clean. They only thing that was disappointing was we didn't have good access to the lake to use our paddle boards but other then that it was nice and peaceful.

We were able to spend every day in the pool. Our sons enjoyed the kayaks furnished by the owner. We grilled out and enjoyed spending time with our family. John, the owner, communicated with us on any issues- there weren't many. Looking forward to enjoying his lake house again soon!

This was the perfect spot for our annual girl’s weekend. This house has everything we needed and there was plenty of space. We loved being able to cool off in the pool. John was very responsive.
