2nd time at house. Love it, only 3mins from beach. Owners are in FL so you’re not dealing with a corporation. Perfect beach house. Will stay there again!!!

My wife and I spent two wonderful months at the Hibiscus House in the Spring of 2024. Upon arrival, it was immediately evident that this is a special place. So special, in fact, that within a week we had already booked it for another two months the following year. Everything was exactly as pictured in the listing, immaculately clean and well stocked for all of our needs. The beds were comfortable, the afternoon sun on the patio was just right, the screened-in lanai was our daily hang-out spot, and the outdoor shower put this property off the charts for us. The location is fantastic; close to the beach and away from the busy roads of Venice and Englewood, yet near enough to those towns that shopping and entertainment is easily within reach. We drove to the beach, we walked to the beach, we rode our bikes to the beach; it was so easy to get to for a day in the sun and surf or an evening with another fabulous sunset. The landlords were instantly accessible when we needed to contact them, and were particularly friendly when we needed any assistance. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to spend some quality time in the Florida warmth.

We stayed at the Hibiscus House for a month and had a great time. The house was immaculate, roomy and comfortable with an open floor plan and everything you could need. The outdoor space is lovely and the neighborhood is very quiet, yet close to the beach. Mary was very accessible if we had any questions and she and Shaun went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We highly recommend Hibiscus House, and we will be back again next year!

Great location and amenities that were listed in home's description. Some issues that host resolved quickly. I did have to clean a few areas both inside and out, but I am a clean freak, so take that as you will. I have stayed in many vacation rentals, and from my experience, I would have to give this a solid 4/5 stars.

The house was perfection- it was such a joy to stay in there. It is decorated so warmly and the layout, cleanliness and vibe made it such a great experience. The rooms and the house are decorated so beautifully!

Just under a mile walk to beach, house is super clean and smells like a new house. Very satisfied with stay, looking forward to returning.

House beautifully decorated, spacious, very comfortable Kitchen well equipped. All kinds of things for outside including bikes, beach chairs and more were provided. Property was listed as having a lush yard with a Koi Pond. Unfortunately neither was accurate. No pond, and the lawn/yard was very badly kept. Big disappointment.

This is our 2nd time staying in this beautiful clean house and it will not be our last!! It has everything you need for a beach vacation and just a short ride to the beach. Mary is always available and helpful if you need any questions answered! This house does not disappoint!

My husband and I stayed for a week with our three kids, and it was great! Space - lots of space. Very clean. And a big kitchen that supported all the cooking we did. On some days, the kids preferred to stay in the house although the beach was just a 2min drive away (and we kept the huge TV off...).

We loved staying at the hibiscus house. The house was nice and clean and had everything we needed for our family to stay comfortable. The house is near wonderful beaches where it is easy to find shark teeth. We enjoyed using the fire pit one night and enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch each night. We also walked at a preserve and saw gopher tortoises which our kids thought was really cool. I would definitely recommend this property!

We had such a relaxing stay — the house was lovely and had everything we needed, including bicycles, beach toys and games. We really appreciated the comfortable sitting room, well-equipped kitchen, beautiful decor and how close we were to the beach! We also enjoyed the lovely backyard and sunroom. Mary was so kind and accommodating when we had questions, and we really look forward to staying here again next time we’re in Venice.

The house was so lovely and comfortable. It had so many extras available for use: beach chairs, umbrella, floats, cooler, even stuff to look for shark teeth. Outdoor area was awesome, and we enjoyed looking at all types of wildlife. Beach is a super close drive with plenty of parking. Beds and furniture are clean and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again

My family and I had an amazing time on this trip! The house was very spacious and super comfortable. It had everything we needed during our stay. So convenient to all of the beautiful beaches in the area. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

The host was wonderful! We loved the jar for shark teeth and almost filled it up! The beach is so close and beautiful! The master bed was too hard for my liking so I slept in the full bed. The location was amazing and really had a great time! Thank you for sharing your home and for being so kind to us!

Beautiful clean home on a nice quite street. This house had everything we needed. No problems when we arrived and the owners were amazing at responding to any questions we had. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a fully stocked kitchen. The back screened in porch was nice for enjoying our morning coffee. The beach was a two minute drive away with plenty of parking. The owners provided everthing we needed to enjoy a day at the beach. The beach had beautiful shells, and the ocean was nice and calm. Resturants and shopping were only a few minutes away. I highly recommend staying in this home!

Manasota Key was the perfect location for our all adult family getaway and Hibiscus House was the perfect rental. The home was lovely and comfortable. Mary had left lots of great recommendations for places to see, restaurants to try and things to do. Additionally she was very responsive and helpful in our search for local wildlife. The beach which is five minutes away is spectacular. We spent so much time in the water and walking the gorgeous beaches in the area. Mary and Shawn have thoughtfully provided all the beach equipment needed for a day in the sun. We can't wait to go back!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hibiscus House! Everything about the house was clean and organized. We were grateful that everything we needed to cook with was provided. Since we flew, it was important to us that we have beach items so we didn't have to purchase them when arriving and then leave them. There was everything from sand toys to a beach umbrella to shark tooth tools to search the beach with. My daughter and husband LOVED finding shark teeth all day long. With the beach only a 2 minute drive, we didn't have to pack for a day long trip. We left and came back a few different days and parking was always available. We are hoping to return in the future!

My husband and I spent the month of March here. The house was lovely, even better than the pictures show. A great place to rest and soak up the abundant Florida sunshine.

Hibiscus House was just as advertised in the description and pictures. The great location made it easy to try many beaches along the coast , the closest only 3 minutes away.

We came down for a three day stay. Clean home, nice quiet neighborhood, close to the beaches we wanted to visit. Mary was most helpful, hope to return one day.

We took our family of 6 on a Florida vacation, and this was the PERFECT place to stay! Just minutes away from the beach (we even walked a few times). Our favorite beach is Manasota Beach, so this was perfect! The property was immaculate - the rooms were very cozy and very well decorated. The house had everything we could need from anything inside, to any beach stuff to bring down to the beach. Mary and Shaun were great hosts - very attentive to any needs that arised or any questions that we had! The backyard space was so cozy for a nighttime fire, and during the day was a perfect spot to sit and soak up some sun while looking at beautiful trees and plants! We will definitely be staying here again in the future. We enjoyed our stay so very much!!!

My husband and I spent a week here and I couldn't have booked a nicer place. The house had everything we needed and more. Everything was clean and well equipped. The garage was an added bonus. We enjoyed visiting with friends in the private back yard and loved the serenity of the property. If you're looking for a home that seems rural yet so close to everything this is your place! I can't say enough about the home owners, Mary went above and beyond our expectations to make sure we had everything to make our stay comfortable.
