We had an amazing wedding! The venue is beautiful, and the host is very helpful.

We stayed two nights for our wedding. The venue was beautiful and the host was amazing with communication and everything we needed. My wedding day was amazing. Hoping to be back for our anniversary

This property is absolutely gorgeous - 10/10 would recommend. And Stephanie the manager, was amazing and helpful through the whole wedding!

We stayed a week with friends and found a wonderful church, many nice close real resturants, traveled thru Galveston by ferry to the new Webster Chicken n Pickle, also played pickleball in Beaumont and Port Arthur. Groceries, hardware, gas were all convenient. We rode bikes and enjoyed the beach. The property and host were exceptional. Its such a special type of place we were compelled to take many pictures to help us remember our stay.

It was lovely, beautiful and all around great stay

I will admit, mosquitoes were heavy and it was humid BUT despite that, we had an unforgettable wedding. The home was perfect to accommodate my husband and I along with the wedding party the day of. Our ceremony and reception was under warm lights and surrounded by wild flowers. The property owners were on the SPOT when I needed a quick response. I can’t thank them enough for they’re kindness and consideration for our needs the day of and after. They even manicured the lawn the day before and sprayed for mosquitoes. The home was EXTREMELY clean and had plenty of kitchen utilities. ALONG with that, they had tons of wedding seating, tables, decor, and a speaker system to accommodate for our small wedding. We made memories on those lighthouse steps that will be forever remembered by our ancestors (as dorky as that sounds). I can’t recommend a more intimate and comfortable wedding venue/honeymoon home to visit than this one. Thank you so much Host!!!

We had my wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful. Stephanie my wedding day contact was amazing! The crew was awesome as well! Really went above and beyond for us. My family and I agreed we definitely want to come back just to relax. If you’re thinking about staying here, just do it! Worth every penny!

This place was great! Going through the VRBO messaging system with the host, the communication was perfectand timely! All info was given prior to check-in and they didn't miss a detail. We also bought their #3 Wedding Package at a great price point. All staff showed on time and took care of everything. This place works perfect for a DIY wedding! We had around 60 people show and it was very comfortable. Plenty of space and easy access to everything. It's well isolated from neighbors so you can't hear them and they can't hear you! I would absolutely recommend this venue for your wedding. With it being somehwhat isolated and accessible by ferry or one road from the east, we opted to use Tia Juanitas Winnie as our caterer. I highly recommend them also!

We loved this venue and it was the perfect place to hold our small beach wedding on Friday the 13th. Jim and Irene were both very accessible and answered our many questions quickly. Besides the wedding aspect, the house was nice, roomy, and had many amenities that were helpful. It stayed nice and cool and the view was spectacular each morning. The elevator was immensely helpful in packing so pay the extra fee to use it. For our wedding: the assistance team was beyond helpful and the three women gave us their expertise and knowledge to help us set up a beautiful reception and ceremony. The night was amazing and we couldn't have picked a better place to become wives! Will strongly consider coming back here in the future just for a beach stay.

The property was beautiful and so peaceful. There were no interruptions from any neighbors or beach-goers. The property had all amenities as stated. The privacy on the beach was perfect. Everyone loved the setup and It was such a great wedding and vacation!

We couldnt have asked for a better place to hold the wedding. The staff was prompt, and extremely courteous. House was beautiful and very comfortable.

We enjoyed out stay. Communication was outstanding. Questions answered very quick and detailed. Owner very helpful in planning our stay. My daughter was married here. The bridal suite was great. Plenty of room for bride and bridesmaid to get ready. Bridal suite lacked seating. Later we found out there are barstools in the closets marked so not open. Property was clean with comfortable beds. Appreciated kitchen cabinets being labeled. Event staff was the best. Very accommodating. The beach view can’t be beat. Was expecting a grooms room but it was more of a storage closet with no place for the groomsmen to sit. They waited in the living room since the bridal suite can be closed off from the rest of the house. Loved having the outside access to restrooms for guest. Overall it was an amazing experience.

There were a few minor issues (like having a slightly wrong code), but the host was always very quick to respond & resolve every one of them. We're very happy we chose this venue not only for our stay, but for our wedding. We would like to come back for our anniversary.

Beauty and the Beach light house review- When we booked this house we were excepting the house to be as advertised. Shortly after arrival we noticed that would not be the case. The photos are not an accurate representation of what we were seeing. The landscaping is overgrown and the fire pit was a heap of stones with brush grown up around it, and no seating as pictured. The elevator layout was not safe. My daughter who is 8 months pregnant was having to use a flash light to walk up and down the stairs due to the outside lighting not working. When we contacted vrbo they admitted to knowing the lights were not working for a few months due to a lighting storm, but did not tell us ahead of time. We had multiple young kids and not being able to see while coming up and down is a scary situation. The hammock they have listed for use was no where to be found. The smoke detectors were beeping on and off after our arrival and Irene the vrbo contact said we could just disconnect them until after our stay if we wanted to. (Liability!) The living room couch was miniature sized, the house is supposed to fit X amount of people but the couch only held 3 children under 8yrs old. There was also mold in the kitchen and living areas at the air vents. For a beach front home with direct beach access we had high expectations but left seriously unimpressed. The listing needs to be updated to reflect what it currently looks like versus pictures from when the house was in its prime.

This was a wonderful place for a few night family getaway. Even though this trip wasn’t for a wedding, my youngest mentioned that she will consider this location when she starts looking for a wedding venue. Communicating with the host was very easy.

We held my daughters wedding at this property and it was amazing. They allowed us to deliver the wedding cake before check in to put it in the fridge. The property manager was a joy to communicate with and was super fast to respond. We used the onsite sound system which was easy to set up and use. For the wedding they set up tables and chairs and put signs out to keep people from setting up behind the house so as to not disturb the ceremony. The cleaning staff was great and very accomodating on how we wanted the venue set up. Overall could not ask for a more enjoyable experience.

Beautiful property with an excellent location that provides a level of seclusion that’s difficult to find at Crystal Beach while still being close to necessities. Spacious rooms and outdoor areas, numerous amenities, and a gorgeous beachfront view! Booking, check in and checkout was simple and hassle free. Clear guidelines and communication from host made for an easy and enjoyable experience! Highly recommend this booking!!

It was a beautiful place to stay at. The pictures didn’t do it justice.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Friends since elementary school came down to celebrate our wedding and we had a wonderful time. We played on the beach, we played games in the yard, we laughed and just relaxed for 4 days. The host was easy to reach and responsive to our questions in a timely manner. The wedding day was perfectly beautiful and the venue staff were quick and efficient. The weather wasn’t a concern at any time because of the under cover areas being spacious and clean.

We celebrated our daughter's wedding with about 70 friends & family at this venue. Everything was beautiful when we arrived and the owner was wonderful to work with. He personally answered the phone and responded to our texts in a timely manner, so we were not working with a third-party company. We highly recommend Beauty & the Beach for anyone looking for a get away, reunion or a wedding!

Overall pretty nice

Our family of 8 stayed here this past weekend and loved it! Not only was being in a lighthouse fun, it was also perfect access to the beach. Irene was quick to respond with any questions and very helpful. Can’t wait to book this place again next summer.

Beauty and the Beach is a great location on the Bolivar with open lots on both sides offering a great deal of privacy. The bed and couch were comfortable and the place was very clean. It is set up as a wedding venue, so there were not any books or games provided. So plan to bring those items with you. We had a great massage by Vanessa in Crystal Beach which is ten miles from the rental (so is the Big Store). The restaurant scene was not very active with Stingaree closed for remodeling and Steve's Landing and the Ocean Grille permanently closed. Being January, this was not totally unexpected, so we came prepared and enjoyed sitting at the kitchen island table eating the meals we prepared. With an expansive view of the Gulf Coast and not having to leave, we enjoyed the early sunsets. We've been to the Bolivar three times and this was our favorite rental. Next time, we want to rent the elevator:) thanks Irene
