The "Cabin in the Woods" was exactly as described. It was quaint and nicely decorated. It had everything you would need for a peaceful time away. Donna and Bill are truly exceptional hosts, easy to communicate with throughout the entire process and knowledgeable about the area. The cabin and the grounds were quite with only the sounds of nature. We traveled to Tennessee to visit the Great Smokey Mountains and even though the cabin was not the closest place we could fine the distance was easily outweighed by staying there. We will be coming back again. If you are looking to get away and have some peace and quiet and get unplugged for a while, this is the place. You will not be disappointed.

The cabin in the woods is exactly that. It's a rustic secluded getaway. This was our 2nd trip there and we will return. Perfect to getaway from all the hustle and bustle of cellphones, traffic, and the rest of life. Donna is a fantastic host, she has thought of everything from the use of a gulf cart to the smores kit includes for the outdoor fireplace. The little things in the cabin make you feel right at home.

We were thrilled with the little Cabin in the Woods! It provided a lovely atmosphere, a woodsy feel, a warm, crackling outdoor fire, a cozy place for spending time enjoying the gorgeous trees and view, the animals. We stayed two nights, and wish we had one more! We hope to return next year.

This ideas one of the best weekends I’ve ever had. Donna was an amazing host, she made it special (it was my boyfriend’s birthday) and that was GREAT! The cabin was perfect and we even say some wildlife! I would definitely recommend and will like go back! Thank you Donna for amazing time!

Beautiful, private space with excellent hospitality.

Cabin was the perfect place to unwind and relax! The scenery was beautiful and I love the view of the mountains as we relaxed in the pool. Not too far of a drive from pigeon forge and the drive was beautiful going into town . Donna was so helpful in her recommendations and had such personal touches to the cabin. I highly recommend

Our stay at the cabin was just what we needed to get away from it all to unplug and unwind. The cabin is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need while away from home. We spent most of our time outdoors enjoying views of nature and wildlife from the porch, grilling out for meals, and having fires at night. However, much thought has also been put into the interior of the cabin from the cozy and welcoming decor to the super soft towels and amazingly comfortable bed. If our travels ever take us to this area again we will be certainly try to stay here again.

My favorite thing to do was wake up early in the morning just as the sun was breaking through the trees! I’d sit on the front or back porch and read, drink my coffee, and listen to the birds sing. You can’t beat that! My husband and I marveled at the craftsmanship of the cabin.. Even though we felt like pioneers, we had all the necessary amenities. Electricity, hot and cold running water, air conditioning, etc. There was no WI-FI, but we didn’t miss it! This area has lots of recreational areas. It’s 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge,/Gatlinburg area and 5-minutes from Dandridge, Tennessee and Douglas Lake. Donna was a perfect Hostes!

This was by far the best anniversary get away in the 22 years of marriage. Check in & out was super easy. Donna was amazing never had no one to ever have us an anniversary card filled out waiting at the cabin, she had stuff for s’mores for us. The place was spotless. So quiet and relaxing I could have stayed forever. I can not say enough positive things about this place and it’s owners! Its something you’ll have to experience for yourself but you won’t be disappointed!

Nice cabin to stay with love ones

If you are looking for a true "cabin in the woods" look no further. We were looking for a primitive type feel and it checked all the boxes. The craftsmanship inside and out of this cabin truly reflects the attention to detail of the host. When we arrived we were met by the host who provided a list of most of the questions one would have when you show up to stay in a foreign place. The host made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed from day to day and was always available with a just a call or text. You will arrive as guests but leave feeling like family. This little piece of heaven will make everything in the world right again by the time you depart. This place is right at Douglas Lake and a short drive from all the attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The town of Dandridge is very small yet has everything you need less than 10 minutes from the cabin. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

From entry into gates to exiting was over and beyond perfect! So many special touches were made for our anniversary. Wanted off the grid for the week and access to fun at our discretion. Cabin for so perfectly done. Will be back!

The owners were so pleasant and this is an absolute treasure! We truly enjoyed our time in Danbridge, TN at this beautiful log cabin. Property was amazing and so tranquilly quiet. We loved our stay and exactly what we needed!

The property is in a secluded area and the stay was very enjoyable. My wife and I really enjoyed the peace and quite of the cabin. We would recommend to anyone that needs to unplug from the fast pace of daily life for a few days.

Donna, Matthew, and Bill are amazing. They made sure we had everything we could possibly need. The cabin was so cute and very cozy. Surprisingly even though it was like 9 degrees outside, it was still nice and toasty inside. Matthew showed us around and showed us all the animals which were all very friendly. Especially Joe the mule. He was my favorite! He let us just go up to him and pet and love on him. There are tons of animals on the farm: from Guineas to peacocks, to horses and cattle! The views at Donna’s were impeccable. We took tons of pictures just at the farm that came out beautifully. The water is sulfur/well water but it didn’t bother me much as I grew up with well water. Everything was fully stocked and we didn’t have to worry about anything. It was far enough away from the craziness of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but close enough that it’s not out of our way. Only about 45 minutes of scenic beauty to get there. 10/10 would highly recommend! We will be coming back in the summer so we can experience the lake!

Let me start off by saying the owners Donna and Bill are the absolute best! Donna goes above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. The cabin is cozy and perfect for a couple that just want to enjoy each other and the beauty that nature has to offer. This is our second time visiting this property and we already have plans for a third! Can't put into words how great this place really is.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We loved the secluded property and the beautiful wooded farm land. It was extremely quiet and awesome. You are really close to the major cities and attractions. Donna and Bill were excellent hosts. We will be going back to stay!!

Amazing relaxing getaway! We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed the cabin and surrounding views. Donna and Bill are very helpful if you need anything at all. Donna really cares and goes above and beyond to make you have an amazing stay. This cabin had everything we wanted and is very clean.

The personalizing for the visitors was incredibly thoughtful, and it was very obvious that much effort was expended to ensure that the stay would be a constant pleasure. The quiet of the morning, sipping our coffee on the front porch, was slowly joined by creatures announcing the beginning of the day. That slowly elevated to a chorus of birds and the playful scampering of the squirrels foraging for the days first meal. We leisurely readied ourselves for the days planned activities, and enjoyed the scenic routes available to attend the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and many of the features that surround it. We would return each night to find solace in the silence, and the multiple amenities offered to indulge our desires for a slow transition to a most restful sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire stay, and were very impressed by all the efforts put forth by Donna and Bill. Your "cabin in the woods" was exactly what this couple was looking for, and we had almost given up that we would end up in a hotel/motel/condo situation. By sheer luck, then we found yours, and are forever grateful for having even the short stay we had. We are planning our return. Thank you, ever such alot.

We absolutely love this place. The cabin is just like a painting from Thomas Kinkade. Absolutely beautiful and the craftsmanship is amazing. Bill and Donna are hands-down some of the nicest down-to-earth God-loving people you will ever meet. From the minute the gates open up for us right away we started to see all of the wildlife. There was a family of skunks right when we pulled in they took off running for cover. We go up to the first pond we see a huge turtle dive to the bottom of the pond. As we go up the drive we see Pete the beautiful peacock. Along with their Belgium horses, cows, chickens, roosters and hundreds of squirrels. Sitting on the back porch drinking coffee we saw wild turkeys quite often. Building a fire with s'mores just sitting back and enjoying it each other company. Cabin is a perfect location from the hustle and bustle of the big city and a short drive if you want to go to the big city. When they talk about God's country this is what they're talking about. We absolutely fell in love with Bill and Donna also the best host anyone could ask for. We love our stay so much we decided to stay another day. This place is awesome! I believe we're going to use it as a Christmas gift for our daughter and son-in-law so they can enjoy everything that we enjoyed. It's that good!! Thank you so much Bill and Donna until next time.

My wife and I have been talking about a vacation like this for many years: small secluded cabin, read books, walk in the woods, chop some firewood... It met everything I hoped for, and then some. The amenities are modern, but there's very much a rustic feel. The owners are communicative and extremely friendly and helpful. We are already talking about going back next year.

The Swan cabin was AHMAZING! My husband and I enjoyed the space in the cabin and scenery on the land. The golf cart is a SUPER fun and great addition to the overall experience. Mrs. Donna is THE BEST HOST! She literally has thought of it all for you, it was much appreciated again.The cabin is primitive, but this is seriously "Glamping" at its best! We absolutely loved the patio and watching the nearby wildlife in the morning with coffee. The fire pit is so relaxing at night it was sprinkling and just perfect for an anniversary. I could go on and on, but I'll close with if you like the outdoors and being close to nature this is the place you want to be. 1 hour from downtown Gaitlinburg on a scenic route. The details with the construction and decorating of this cabin is really indescribable. The picture do not do it justice. THE BEST owners to rent from... down to earth and most hospitable!! Make you feel so welcomed from the get go.... hate to share how awesome they are because I want to keep.it all for myself already planning a second visit.
