The house and property are amazing in every way. There is nothing they have not thought to provide.We made several day trips over to New Orleans and the area across the causeway and it was so nice to come back to such a peaceful, beautiful home. We were blessed to have amazing weather at the end of January so were able to enjoy the outside ammenities they offer, bikes, kayak, grill, and chairs by the water. This home is wonderful is every way.

This is a beautiful and spacious home. Has everything you would need or want. The bedrooms are spacious with walk in closets and each has their own bathroom.Very comfortable beds and pillows. Meticulously cleaned home. 4 decks to sit on and look at the spanish moss hanging from the large trees. If it had been warmer, we would have used the entertainment center under the house more. But we did get in a game of darts. Loved fishing off the dock. The area is close to restraurants, shopping and a state park. This luxurious home is located in a peaceful neighborhood close to a marina. We definitely want to come back.

Cypress is stunning in every way. The views from every window are gorgeous, the house is extremely well appointed and comfortable and every detail is accounted for. David and Marie are amazing hosts and we are grateful for the privilege of staying at this beautiful property. 5 stars and beyond!

The photos don’t even serve this property justice. It’s spacious and simply beautiful with every amenity you could need. Tons of outdoor balcony and patio space with several boardwalks and a peaceful bike/walking path right around the corner. It feels secluded but is close enough to Girod and Florida street to be right in town in a minute. The owner, David, is very friendly and made several kind efforts to connect with us during our stay to make sure everything was to our liking. He also came by on garbage day and another time to leave some fresh picked fruit. We ran into him a couple times when we were out and about too, which was quite serendipitous. If you are looking for more of a bed and breakfast vibe, with contact with the owners who live right nearby, this is the place for that.

This place is nothing short of AMAZING! My hubby wanted to go somewhere for his 50th birthday, so we picked Cypress in Mandeville. Absolutely phenomenal property. The owners were wonderful and so helpful. I am already checking our calendar for a trip back. You will not be disappointed if you book this location.

The property was beautiful and very conveniently located to the Old Mandeville area and the Trace bike trail. It feel wonderfully secluded and beautifully designed to take in the surrounding nature. Hosts surprised us with a special anniversary gift which was so appreciated. Perfect for a family or couple group. Large enough for everyone to have their own space. Would love to go back when the weather wasn't so Louisian hot, but since i am from the area i knew what to expect. No alligator sightings but plenty of birds and bayou beauty.

Spent most of our time on the dock fishing and canoeing the bayou catching critters, will definitely be going back.

This was one of the nicest VRBO properties I have stayed in. Beautiful home and property on Bayou Castine in Mandeville. House was immaculate. It was more like a retreat. Peaceful and private with luxury accommodations. The owners were very attentive to our needs which were few as this house had all the modern amenities. Would recommend to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Mandeville.

The pictures do no do this property justice. It is more amazing than I could have ever imagined. The home was exceptionally clean, and the owners add special touches to make this home comfortable. We spent most of out time on the deck watching the wildlife and enjoying the views. The canoe and kayak were wonderful to take out and explore the water. I love that the owners checked in to see ifbwe needed anything during our stay. They were so pleasant to talk to, and went out of their way to make our stay special. I hope to return someday for an extended stay. Thank you for opening your home. Thisbwas a magical place to stay and I cannot even begin to express how truly beautiful this property is.

Beautiful property in Mandeville with great support and very very professional cant recommend highly enough

Cypress on Castine is a beautiful property with fantastic views. The home is immaculate. David and Marie were wonderful hosts. Their attention to detail made our stay enjoyable. We would love to stay here again. Perfect home in a perfect setting.

This has to be one of the best vacation rentals we've EVER stayed in, WOW!!! It's new, it's luxurious and it's located on an awesome swamp setting! Contacting Marie and David was easy and friendly, if any questions or anything was needed. They provided excellent check-in information about the property from the start. This property is top notch, we can't say enough! We safely saw alligators on our 1st morning from the many decks around the house! The property is set in a quiet, private location with lush vegetation of palm trees and Spanish moss, just beautiful!. Wonderful Louisianian style food was in easy reach in town! We could not ask for a more perfect getaway! Marie and David, thanks for sharing this property! We shall return and hopefully see more gators!!

Amazing house and property. Every detail was thought of - bikes, canoe, kayak, ping pong, corn hole, everything you need to cook a meal, gourmet kitchen (Whole Foods 5 minutes away) and more. Lots of windows and stunning cypress views wherever you turn. Many different places to hang out outside. Multiple decks with comfy outdoor furniture, and an awesome deck right by the water. Mandeville is the perfect sleepy southern town with incredible old mansions along the lake. Perfect to view while coasting on a bike along among the 400 year old live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. The sounds of the swamp - crickets, cicadas, bull frogs- are almost deafening at night and the perfect lullaby to drift off to sleep to. Comfy beds, wonderful showers, unique original art everywhere. So wide open and spacious. Just book it. I can’t believe a place this nice is so affordable. Dave was a wonderful and thoughtful host. We didn’t want to leave. I will miss the sights and sounds of this incredible location.

The house, decks, dock & property are all amazing!! There is every amenity that anyone could desire! We sat for hours watching the bayou flow by & the wild life! The kayaking was fantastic with easy access to the water! Perfect!!

This property is 5 star amenities and adventure all rolled into one. The dock on the bayou is superb for animal and bird watching. This property was gorgeous and so much fun! A stroll on the lakeside just a short bike-ride away was an added bonus! The host was very accommodating and responsive if ever needed. Thank you for sharing this magical location!

We had a lovely stay at Cypress. The house is gorgeously decorated, and the view of the bayou from the back deck is stunning. A truly beautiful property! The owners were very kind and easy to communicate with. Loved the access to the Tammany Trail right beside the house! 10/10

This property far exceeded expectations

Beautiful house and beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed being on the bike trail, taking the canoe out and just sitting on the dock watching the gators and snakes. Patio and deck area were amazing! Communication with property manager was easy as well. It was a relaxing wonderful time! We will definitly rent again! So sad to leave!

My wife and I have been visiting the USA on a regular basis for almost 40 years, and I can say that this is one of the most impressive properties we have ever stayed in. The house is located directly on the bayou, and is a modern, tastefully furnished and homely property, with 3 outdoor decks; it's own private jetty with seated area; and is just yards form the 30 mile long biking and hiking trail. The grounds are private, substantial & quiet, with an abundance of bird and wildlife. Facilities provided include a rowing boat, bicycles, dart board and table tennis table. The hosts, who live locally, could not have been more helpful and friendly, and provided a lot of useful information. We would highly recommend this property, and we enjoyed our stay so much we have already inquired about a return visit next year.

Top notch property and owners! There simply aren't enough superlatives to adequately describe either. The huge windows and abundant outside seating areas will allow you to be immersed nature whether you're inside or out. The bayou is just out the back door and an extensive trail system in literally steps away. If you really want to experience the Bayou Castine and surrounding areas there are cruiser bikes, a kayak and a canoe along so many other amenities. And one of the best features in the extensive handbook that the owners have thoughtfully prepared. This is a comprehensive guide to the rental that answered ALL of my questions before I even arrived. The owners are amazing, you simply won't find anyone that puts this much energy, effort and love into running their rental! They're beyond thoughtful, kind, generous and genuinely care about you enjoying your visit without ever being intrusive. I hope to return again and again! And while the photos of the house are good... this place is even better in person :)

I've stayed at some very lovely properties over the years and this place is at the top of the list! You are literally in the bayou surrounded by a cypress grove. I miss it already!

Dave and Marie are consumate hosts..no aspect of hospitality was overlooked in the planning and stocking for guests. We've never stayed at a property so we'll provided for both the big accents and the little touches. I grew up in NO and it's truly convent to the city as well as all the great new places in the Covington/Mandeville area..Go with their recommendations..You won't go wrong. Can't recommend this property any higher and I"ve managed Hospitality operations for 40 years..Great hosts and a great stay.

Hands down, the most beautiful, peaceful place we have ever stayed! Saw 3 deer and the neighborhood alligator the first night-Sitting on the dock that looks over the bayou with cypress tress made me realize my home state is really gorgeous-the house itself was perfect-the bedding, towels, decor, furniture, stocked kitchen and elevator was a huge convenience -we played darts and watched a disappointing SEC game (and LSU’s loss was the only negative for us!) And we so appreciated the welcome bottle of wine & chocolates Will DEFINITELY be back!!

This home is spectacular. It is immaculately clean. Looks brand new. Your every need has been anticipated. The gracious owners are extremely helpful without being intrusive. They live close by and are very attentive to your request. Kitchen and bathrooms are well supplied with everything you may need on your stay. Breathtaking views from every room. Several decks to enjoy the tranquility of nature. Downstairs you can enjoy walking on the boardwalk or to the pier to view the river with all its inhabitants. There’s even an entertainment area downstairs with a big screen TV and darts. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to take a photo next to the gorgeous swamp mural. Never a dull moment with all the amenities provided including a canoe, fishing poles and bikes to ride on the near by trace. The sound system through out the house is amazing. You can not only choose your music venue but also choose which rooms to play the music. We will be back time and time again. Perfect vacation home.
