This was a great property for the 4 of us friends. We were fine with sharing the queen beds(slept 4). We cooked our meals in, and had all the necessities to do so. We ate all our meals on the deck. Lovely view and weather morning and night. It was great to have washer and dryer on sight. TV available, but only wanted to watch the cowboy channel plus to see my nephew ride and couldn't figure out how to connect phone or use roku. Otherwise I am not a TV watcher, but its there gor people who are. We loved that the property was away from town, and really experienced the wilderness environment. I'm use to gravel roads also. We would come back. Thank you.

We loved the property, terrain was a bit treacherous for little kids because it was steep. Other than that, we loved the location and the cabin! Would stay again

We spent 4 nights here while exploring. It’s so nice to be secluded and have a quiet space for morning and night time. We went to Devils Tower, rented ATV, toured neighboring towns. The huge deck with sunset view and roof for shelter from predictable rain showers was awesome. Also appreciate the garage access to avoid potential hail. Beautiful cabin and had all we needed.

My husband and I enjoyed our little summer getaway so much! The cabin is beautiful, cozy, and in a perfect, secluded location, but close enough to all the fun attractions. The cabin is a short drive away from walking/biking trails, and I think renting e-bikes at the Kirk Rd. intersection was the best idea!!! The cabin’s kitchen is equipped for whatever meals you’d want to cook, and is the perfect spot to rest and relax after each day.

What a beautiful place this is. We experienced all 4 seasons during our week. From warm and sunny to spectacular views of snow on the peaks. Every day we were treated to a beautiful sunset and/or sunrise. If you want a place to get away, this is it. Deadwood/Lead are close enough if you need to get to town. Clean, comfortable, well stocked, and great communication with the Host.

We had a wonderful time at Sunset Ridge and especially enjoyed the view and fireplace! It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the cabin was well stocked with kitchen items for cooking.

This “cabin” was beyond our expectations, a beautiful home with mountain top views. Quiet and private Black Hills setting. Our host, Hester, was as close as the phone and answered a few questions that we had when we arrived. Thanks again!!

We loved this cozy and clean cabin with pretty views!! It was so peaceful and relaxing. We took full advantage of the real wood fireplace- advantage of going when temps still chilly. The patio/deck is so nice- we got to enjoy it our last morning there when the sun was out and temps were nice. We would love to come back when it’s warmer and can do more trails and outdoor activities but it was a relaxing time away! Highly recommend if you want to be in the Lead/Deadwood area.

Excellent getaway in the hills of South Dakota! Hope to return someday.

Quite and relaxing cabin

This home is very close to the mining history and activities of Lead and Deadwood, but so secluded on the top of a beautiful ridge with views of sunrise, sunset, and I believe I could see ski runs on an adjacent ridge. Interior was done professionally with cabin accents that made us feel at home. Kitchen has all needed to cook and enjoy the peace. The outside covered areas were excellent as well. We had several inches of snow, but the roads were doable. Will return if in this area again.

The house was the perfect way to vacation! Relaxing, comfortable and great views! It was so quiet and we enjoyed seeing deer and jack rabbits on the property. Would definitely stay again!

Can not go wrong with this beautiful place and the host is great and very easy to contact if you need to. We'll be back next year! Awesome location. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Beautiful location. Roads a little rough

An awesome cabin (it's more of a house) in the Hills. Short drive to Deadwood or Lead. Super clean and the house is fully stocked with everything you would need. The views are spectacular and the deck faces due west so the sunsets are awesome. House has character and felt like a true cabin in the hills. There is about 5-6 miles of gravel so I'm not sure I'd like riding my Harley back and forth to the house, but this would be a side by side or ATV haven vacation spot. Decent size two stall garage that would be perfect for winter/summer vacation toys. Perfect house for small family or two couples or even just one couple! Hester was great to work with and very responsive. I've rented a lot of homes and this tops the list and my family is super picky. If it had a hot tub, I would never of left!

This is the place to stay in the Black Hills! The home is immaculate and in a beautiful, peaceful location close to the town of Deadwood, yet easy access to other sites in the Black Hills. We especially enjoyed the large covered deck overlooking the hills. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need for your stay. 2 Bedroom/2 bath with comfortable bedding was a bonus. It was nice to have a full garage to securely store our car/UTV when not in use.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in the Black Hills. We loved the property! The deck/porch was a nice place to relax in the mornings and evenings. Beautiful views. Hester was easy to work with and we had a wonderful stay.

Cabin had everything we needed and more. So nice to have separate bathrooms for each bedroom! Beds were very comfortable. We spent the majority of our mornings and evenings on the patio. Beautiful views. Would absolutely stay here again!!

We had a wonderful time at this clean and well stocked cabin. Great location for touring the area. Love the walk in showers as we are all seniors! Nice experience!!!

Cabin had a beautiful view. Plenty of parking for our trailers and vehicles. Also 2 car garage for our motorcycles. Very very clean. Comfortable beds. Nice having 2 bathrooms for each couple. Host always got back with us quickly. Great place to relax and very close to Deadwood and Sturgis. The road traveling up is gravel but it was worth the stay.

We enjoyed the beautiful cabin so much! It was perfect! Spending time with family early mornings and evenings on the deck, so relaxing. We had many busy days sightseeing, so it was nice to chill out on the deck and enjoy the woods and wildlife. We recommend this adventure to everyone!
