Great place! Great location!

Perfect week spent with family and our two pooches! House had everything we needed. Location was great. Firepit and party lights kept us outside at night. We rented their jet skis which was key. We also rented a pontoon boat from Parker’s Boathouse right down the street. Grocery and liquor stores close by for quick runs. Tejay, the homeowner, was responsive and informative. Already looking at available weeks for next summer!

Second time here and it was every bit as good as the first. This place has everything you need both inside and outside. The firepit is great- lots of chairs for everyone to gather round and have those evening chats.

Our stay with family was a great time! The outside area with fire pit, large picnic tables and dock was the very best part. We were lucky with the weather for most of our stay. Took day trips to Portland and Kennebunkport, so centrally located for that. Master suite was huge. We did pay the kayak fee, so we made sure to use them. I do think the fee was a bit high but since weather cooperated, they got daily use. This is a great spot for families!

We had a wonderful stay at this Lakehouse. The house was clean and the kitchen is spacious and well equipped for cooking. The outside area across the street is set up perfectly with plenty of seating around the fire pit - exactly as shown in the photos. Most days not a single car drove by the house, so crossing the street is not a concern at all. The dock is perfect for lounging in the sun and swimming and the lake is great for kayaking. Would definitely rent again.

Beautifully laid out property in and out. The Jet Ski and Kayaks are top of the line and easy to use. The dock area is well thought out and in perfect condition. My only suggestion is there is no kitchen above the stove vent. We set off the smoke alarm, three days cooking bacon and or sausage. But it sure got the kiddos up and out of bed, after a good nights rest. We would love to return to this same vacation home another time.

My wife, three adult children, and two dogs had a WONDERFUL time at this beautiful property! Clean, spacious, and tranquil—the perfect spot to get away from it all and rest. Definitely rent the jet skis! My kids were on the lake everyday! I gave “location and neighborhood” four out of five stars because, while being right on the lake was exceptional and the neighbors that I met were so nice, Shapleigh itself is in the middle of nowhere. So, if you are looking to spend some time in a cute town in Maine, dining and shopping for souvenirs, just be prepared to take a 40 minute trip into Kennebunkport—it is an adorable area with great shops! And I wholeheartedly recommend Pablo’s!!! Fantastic Mexican food and ambiance. So, overall, perfect house, perfect lake, awesome jet skiing, delightfully peaceful spot, Hannaford Supermarket very close—but be ready to hit another town if you want some cute shops and restaurants. Thank you for the wonderful rest, fun on the lake, and family memories!!!!

We visited to ice fish on Mousam Lake. We were not disappointed! Caught many fish and enjoyed the beautiful lake in the winter. House was very clean and had lots of space. Great for our group of 6. Host was very communicative and helpful! We just may be back next winter!

This was our second year staying here for our annual ice fishing/super bowl. Great place that comfortably fits 5 adults and our two dogs. We love our time here and look forward to next year!

We had a wonderful stay! The home and the views were absolutely beautiful, the attention to detail was above and beyond. The house was very well equipped with plenty of space for all of us and our 2 dogs.

We had the most wonderful stay at Tejay's gorgeous lakeside home. It was super comfortable and spacious. It is literally right on the lake with excellent outside seating and amazing views. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in this lake home. It is very clean and cozy. We spent much of our time outside fishing and by the campfire. Everything went smooth with the owner. Only downfall was finding a decent restaurant open nearby as everything shuts down this time of year. Next we would need to be more prepared but it was last minute so we can’t complain. Five stars otherwise. Thank you.

Our three dogs were welcomed at this great location! Even the neighbors are so very nice ! Beautiful lake House very comfortable and clean Huge master BR! The firepit bbq outdoor area is perfect Tejay came immediately to unlock kayaks which we did not get a chance to use after all - we just ran out of days at this great house Jetski worked perfectly and was a highlight of the vacation My ONLY suggestion is the kitchen needs upgrade for pots/pans and there is a leaking bowl Such minor things compared to other places we have stayed. Other than that minor thing this place is so great!

Everything you could want in a vacation rental. Loved the fact that you had a nice outdoor space to enjoy along with the deck and having fun with the jet ski. Very relaxing

The house is very nice. Quite neighborhood, beautiful lake views. Tejay goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasurable. Answered every question we had about area things to see and do, and questions about the property before and after we arrived. Easy location to travel to ocean or mountain destinations. Highly recommend this property for a very relaxing get away.

Beautiful location with great swimming and fishing right off the dock. The house itself has everything you need for your family vacation. The yard has a firepit and grill with lots of chairs and plenty of off street parking.

The house was fully air conditioned and was comfortable, though if the master suite and first floor living room AC units get out of sync you might be uncomfortable trying to sleep as the temp could be too hot in the summer. The bed sheets kept slipping off the bed in the master. Lots of space and sleeping accomodations. Washer and dryer we're a plus. Quite a few finish workmanship things about the house that may or may not bother you - for $500/night I'd expect these things to be cared for. No cable tv, so bring your account login for streaming. There are five cameras on the exterior of the property that weren't mentioned in the listing. Nice fire pit area with plenty of decent seating. Plenty of parking. The lake is nice, but not a sandy bottom. The jet skis bumped and jarred the dock pretty much the entire time we sat out there. It was extremely annoying. Host was prompt to respond when contacted.

Family had a great weeks stay. Outdoor area was great. Overall this was the vacation place we needed. Owners were easy and accessible. Definitely would consider staying here again.

I have been wanting to rent a lake house for years! We have a small speedboat that we take to a few different lakes for day trips, and just wanted to be able to relax and really enjoy the lake while having our boat already in the water. Our stay here was great. It’s a nice quiet location. Plenty of parking for visitors. Our sweet pup who loves being on the boat was happy to be with us. The kitchen is spacious and having multiple bathrooms is a plus!! I had to hunt down some towels and we had trouble keeping the lower level bathroom door closed/locked so no one would walk in on you, but such minor things. Everything was clean and ready for us and we enjoyed the ease of the patio area and dock for enjoying the outdoors all day long. For cooking there for a week I had to do some improvising but was able to do almost everything I wanted to. How lucky were we to be there for the opening day of strawberry picking at a farm nearby!! I was so happy! One rainy day, we went to the movies and one chilly day, played games, read books, did a puzzle, and just chilled. Thank you for having us!! I hope we can come back again!

Very nice property with beautiful views. Fire pit and outside area was where we spent most of the time. Temperature equipment needs instructions, oven too. We have rented lake houses in Maine for years. This was the first place that didn't include a boat or kayak with the rental. Loved listening to the loons at night.

We met our adult kids and spent some time enjoying the countryside. The house was cozy and clean, as well as having plenty of room to spread out. The fire pit and grill were awesome and provided a great atmosphere. Great trip!!

Great house and property. There was plenty of room for the 5 adults and it was very comfortable. Location of the house was great with a short walk across the street to the lake. Although the access to the water/ice was on a slippery slope, we made it work. Maybe in the future, the path that leads to the steps could be shoveled for easier winter access to the lake. Would love to return, for sure.
