We have been coming to the Central coast for a large gathering every summer for years & usually get a VRBO for our stay. This one was the best of the lot…a beautiful place inside & out, better than the pics! We also enjoyed the outdoor companion kitty that showed up every time we came back. We’ll be back next year. Two suggestions: a lighter weight blanket for summer…(the comforter was too warm) also more coffee mugs. Thanks for a great visit!

We stayed in Avila to attend the Good Vibes concert....The location of this house was perfect so close and easy access to town and beach. The house was so comfortable as well as well planned out. The detached bedroom was really great and perfect for my friends! I highly recommend it!

The reason for our stay was to attend a family wedding and related events over a July weekend. The Avila House was perfect for 6 adults and located close to the wedding venue (Chateau Noland), Avila Beach and downtown. Property was as advertised…and more! The only downside was the hot tub had been emptied - sadly but understandably due to liability. Check-in/Check-out process was easy and Lauren was readily available for any questions/concerns. THANK YOU for sharing this wonderful home/beautiful location! We’d happily re-book for any future stays in the SLO area!

Wonderful annual Sisters visit. Lovely grounds and well laid out house providing beautiful gathering spots and private space to retreat to. Friendly kitty kept us company and we had a bobcat visit the first night. Property Manager was quick to respond to any questions and lovely to deal with. Highly recommend!

We had a small wedding party and loved the accommodations here. It had the perfect amount of rooms for us but also was a perfect size for us to be able to hang out with our other friends while in the area. Easy drive to Avilla or Downtown!

Loved the house and the location. Very nice patio area with a great view. Only suggestions are to get new cushions for the outdoor furniture (they’re flat and uncomfortable) and the kitchen didn’t have any dish towels. Will come again!

This is by far our favorite place we have stayed at in Avila. It is so relaxing and peaceful. The home is surrounded by nature and you feel far from the hustle of the city yet it’s a quick drive to the beach. The home has everything you need. It was clean and the beds were very comfy. The tree house room was perfect for my son and his girlfriend. The host was very attentive and would reply quickly. We look forward to staying again soon!

The pictures do not do this property justice. We came for a weekend away with friends and to visit our daughter at Cal Poly. Was a short 10 minute drive to the campus but felt like we were really in the country. Enjoyed the wonderful views from the patio of the rolling hills and vineyards. We will be back!

This is a very cool rustic house in a secluded area that overlooks a vineyard. Great location for exploring the area.

this is a lovely place to use as a base for exploring the area or just to stay put and enjoy the glorious scenery. We had a short PG & E power outage soon after we arrived and the manager and owner were wonderfully communicative and power was restored very soon - wonderful property!

Perfect for couples who enjoy all Avila has to offer but close to everything we enjoy. Golf, fishing, fair concerts and the views were amazing

This was such a charming, spacious, peaceful, perfectly situated property. Beautiful outdoor area for dining, private, convenient location, minutes to hiking, beaches, freeway. Comfortable beds, each room has its own bathroom, fire pit outside, fire place inside. Overall, it was such a pleasurable place to stay. Highly recommended

What a perfectly stunning location to host our biannual reunion! We wanted to be near Cal Poly, but also the beach. This was ideal. Very private, quiet, and gorgeous views. We honestly spent most of our time on the patio! Great communication with property manager, and help came in a jiffy when we needed it. Will definitely stay again. Only criticism was that we had to take the trash can out, which was all the way down the hill. A bit dangerous for women over 50, lol. Overall fantastic. Thanks for a wonderful time.

My family came to SLO for graduation and booked this house. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived; the photos do not do the property justice! The deck and patio are beautiful and perfect for sitting and sipping wine, enjoying the view. There is a nice breeze so it doesn't get hot like San Luis Obispo, but the hills block the fog from the beach!

A great property for adults. Near Avila Beach but quiet and private. Very responsive management. No games or puzzles. No beach equipment. Not for kids. Great sitting area outside with a view of the valley. Some repairs required. Ceiling fan in master bedroom did not work and windows could not be opened. Made the room stuffy. Kitchen well equipped but refrigerator ice and water dispenser inoperative. Great quality decoration and furniture. Tree house very nice and private. Beautiful view of the valley and awesome night sky on a clear night. Great bedroom ceiling fan. Two friendly cats visited throughout our stay. . Perfect for a party of two or three couples to explore area. I would return.

Absolutely lovely view and seating area. Perfect for a relaxing family trip including two toddlers, parents and grandparents. The location is perfect - feels remote but only a 2 minute drive to shops. And the house itself was lovely too.

We had the nicest time, the house and property were lovely and the location was perfect for us. Our daughter is a Junior at Cal Poly and we all enjoyed everything about our stay including super comfy beds, beautiful outdoor area for dining/appetizers, private, quiet, convenient location. minutes to hiking, beaches and the school. We will be back!

It is a great location and Close proximity to many different things. We felt very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed our time on the property. We hope to revisit again!

Beautiful view and great outdoor seating area. The house is cozy, rooms are spacious and did I mention the view. If you are looking for a place to relax and kick back, this is it. I love that each room has its own bathroom, the beds were super comfy, and we loved sitting around the fire pit outside. As mentioned in other reviews, the kitchen gets tight with multiple people in it, the only downside. It’s close to the beach, close to the freeways, and we would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing time in Avila Valley. This property is very conveniently located just a short drive to the beach, golf, and great hiking/ walking trails. The house is set atop a hill with an incredible view of the valley and morning sunrises and sunsets. The living room was perfect for hanging out all together with plenty of comfy seating for all. The kitchen was fully stocked and the bedrooms were very accommodating. We loved the little casita off of the main house with an adorable wrap around porch. It was a perfect spot for our weekend getaway with friends and an infant & we look forward to our next trip! Thank you!

My family spent a week at the Avila Beach house. The house is conveniently located between SLO and Avila Beach with easy access to Shell Beach and Pismo. The view from the property is absolutely gorgeous! The house was nice and well appointed and the owner was helpful and available to us if we had questions. We look forward to coming back.

Enjoyed the house. Great and relaxing

This house and its location is beautiful. The house is older, unique, quiet and very comfortable. The view across the valley is one of the main draws. And it's a 25-minute rural walk from the beach in Avila. The kitchen is small and cramped, but works fine--we cooked for Thanksgiving in it. The large round table in the dining room was a real bonus. We never used the TVs or bluetooth for music, and instead just enjoyed the quiet or played games. Avila Beach itself remains one of the best beach towns in California. This is a large, wooded property on a hillside that takes a lot of care and attention to keep up, and the owners have done well in keeping it maintained. Plus some of the best Fuji's around are just up the street in See Canyon.

The house was perfect for our family trip. The main house has two bedrooms with their own bathrooms. One additional bedroom with its own bathroom is detached from the main house with a beautiful view. The kitchen is well stocked and sufficient for our needs. But it is more on the smaller side. The outdoor areas are great with good mix of sun exposed and shaded areas. The beach and other activities can be easily reached. The pictures do not fully capture the beauty of the house. The communication with the host was easy and he is very responsive. We would definitely come back.
