It was very clean and ready for a great week of relaxing and beaching with family and friends! This house accommodated everything we needed! Definitely will stay in the villages of Crystal Beach again!

We were without hot water for more than 48 hours. We were told to carry on with our day. It is very hard to carry on with our day when we couldn't shower. I'm still waiting for the Property Manager to call me back. I have left several messages.

We had a great stay at the Big Tuna. The pool is just steps away. We were bummed that the ocean seemed so far away - about a 1/2 mile walk but the shuttle was nice to have. The house was clean and comfortable.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect location. Walking distance to the pool and about .5 mile walk to the beach. There a plenty of shops and places to eat in the area within walking distance as well.

This house is amazing! It was a birthday trip and fit our group perfectly. Plenty of room and excellent communication with the owners! 5 starts!!!!

As the location was a good spot, the house itself was not what I expected. I had crawling babies and within 20 minutes they were covered in black from the floors. The kitchen only had ONE kitchen mitt & that had a huge hole in it so of course while cooking, we burned our hand pretty bad. The AC didn’t work the whole time so the house was up to 79 degrees which isn’t idea either with kids and my parents. The management team responded quick but no resolution. I complained and asked for some type of refund and no response. We also were told check in couldn’t happen until 4 however, with kids we got their early and no one was at the property from 1-4? For paying such high dollar, we should of had a better experience. Very disappointment & will not be recommending for future.

My firm held an off-site for our five attorneys here. We wanted a place to do some team-building and also enjoy the beach. There was lots of room to accommodate us all. The house was very clean and in a great location with regard to proximity to the pool/hot tub and walking to the beach. We were even able to use the primary television as a monitor to do some training together.

We had a great stay at Big Tuna and would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Destin area. Clean, spacious house, not too far from the beach (the free trolley is a huge bonus!), nice pool. The only thing we wish had been clearer in the listing is the limited parking, but given the off season we were able to park our extra vehicle by the pool without issue. Will definitely consider this house for future trips to Destin.

This house is gorgeous, wonderfully furnished, has a great layout, and in a fantastic location. The proximity to the pool is great and having a shuttle to the beach was amazing!! Lots of restaurants and shops nearby too! Great find!

We spent 6 days here and would definitely return. The property management company was easy to work with when things were off and responded quickly. The shuttle service was an outside company and they did not return our call. But the house itself and the management company was exactly what we were looking for. We had a relaxing time together making family memories. Some board games could help for rainy days but we only had one of those.

Our condo was double-booked and occupied by another family when we arrived, but they eventually found another condo for us thank goodness. Condo was lovely.

Big Tuna was just as advertised. We were pleased with the location, size and layout of the house! It definitely suited our family well and was accommodating for our dog also. The only complaint we had was that the floor in the house was really dirty and the check out information that was online and the check out info. in the house was conflicting. (i.e., times and check out duties) But other than that, it was great! We would definitely try and stay at the Big Tuna again!

Absolutely loved the Big Tuna! Highly recommend staying here. The kitchen was packed with everything you would need. The pool is very close. The management was very attentive, the shuttle run is very convenient for the short drive to the beach. Couldn’t be any happier with this property!

The beach was a nice walk from the house, but more than 3 blocks - it is 0.48 miles from the front door to the boardwalk at Barracuda St. Then when we tried to find a spot on the beach to place our chairs, we were asked to leave the area for guests staying in properties directly on the beachfront. There was only about 20 feet of space allocated to those coming in on the Barracuda St. boardwalk, and nothing at the water's edge. The next best option was to drive 1 mile to Crab Trap which is open to the public. One item which is clear in the listing is the three-car limit for parking. The house boasts accommodating 11, but any cars larger than small sedans would not be able to park in the driveway. It would be a challenge to carry 11 people with luggage in three small sedans.

We had a great stay over the Labor Day Holiday. The home is exactly as pictured online and the location is perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

Big Tuna looked just like the pictures online. We came a day after Hurricane Michael. The owners responded to our questions right away. They gave us updates for safe travels. The home itself was very clean and the beds were comfortable. They even provided baby things for my baby nephew to use! We had plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. We didn’t have to buy anything but food and beach towels. Big Tuna is absolutely beautiful! This will be our go-to home whenever we are visiting Destin. Our family had an amazing vacation!

The unit had a perfect floor plan, and was furnished beautifully. Only drawback is parking. Really had to juggle to fit 3 veichles

I was extremely impressed with the house! I would recommend this house to others!

We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Destin, FL. Big Tuna was more than accommodating for our 3 couples. We had enough extra sleeping places for at least 4! A few things of note that we did not feel were covered in the description about the place. The beach is a 10 minute walk since Big Tuna is at the opposite end of the neighborhood from the road to beach access. Once you reach the road, you've got 4-5 blocks. There is a shuttle, which you will definitely want to take. When we got there, there were ants everywhere! A lot of the food we brought were full of ants within an hour. We called maintenance and this issue was taken care of immediately. We didn't see another ant the rest of the trip. My only other advice is to take showers in turns. When everyone comes off the beach and wants to shower at the same time, we ran out of hot water most days.

My girlfriends and I stayed at the Big Tuna for a fun getaway at the end of April. This house is absolutely gorgeous inside!!!!! The owners have a keen eye for decorating!!! Each and every room was so perfectly styled for a beach house. The beds were extremely comfortable and and the rooms were spacious.They have absolutely everything that we needed! The pool is literally right around the corner and the beach is a pleasant walk. We enjoyed this house so very much and we can not wait to go back!!!! Thank you Big Tuna for being our home away from home!!!!!!!

We were able to return to Big Tuna at Villages of Crystal Beach for our family's summer vacation. This property still is a crowd pleaser. This is our 6th year to stay at The Villages of Crystal Beach. We love the lagoon style pool. The block and a half to the beach is no hassle for us! This particular home suits our family in every way. Again, with a new baby in the family, we are so appreciative of all of the accommodations, big and small (crib, pack-n-play, baby gates, baby dishes, bathtub, etc). Although we had plenty of beds for our family, there is even a nice blow up mattress to use for a bigger crowd. We love that this home is so close to the pool. We will continue to return to The Villages of Crystal Beach and Big Tuna.

Cannot speak more highly of the owners and the house! My college friends and I were able to enjoy a relaxing time at the beach at this house away from all the craziness in Panama. The owners were extremely helpful in accommodating us and even helping me with my proposal! The house was perfect. It has a very modern finish and had plenty of space for all of our group. Would recommend this house highly to anyone looking for a comfortable house to go and relax in Destin.

We spent our family spring break at Big Tuna. The home had everything we were hoping for and more. The pool was fabulous, warm and inviting. The short walk to the beach was safe for our family and the Beach Trolley option was appreciated. Our three children, their two additional friends and my husband and I had a fantastic week. Thanks to VRBO for making our vacation easy to plan and for emailing instructions/information weeks ahead of time. We will definitely be back!! Don't miss out on Big Tuna!!

My family, parents and in-laws just returned from a DESTINation Thanksgiving and we stayed at the Big Tuna. It was fantastic! The pictures of the property were so wonderful that we were afraid we would be let down once we arrived. Just the opposite....the Big Tuna and the property was perfect! We have a 4 and 6 year old and they loved the bunk beds. My parents and in-laws both got the king bed rooms and my husband and I had the queen. The rooms were comfortable, clean and very beachy! We loved all the decorations! The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and much needed items. There was also plenty of kid friendly kitchen items and games for us. We have talked about coming again in 2 years and we will totally stay here again! Thank you for having such a lovely home for us to stay in!
