The house is beautiful and updated- very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent- walking distance to downtown and near Harris lake. The host was so accommodating and I hope to be able to stay here again in the future for a longer visit!

A few friends enjoyed a short reunion in the Highlands. This is a beautiful home within an enjoyable walk to town and various hiking trails.
The property manager even accommodated a date change due to a death in one of our families, which goes to show you the quality of people whose home this is! It shines through.

We use vrbo often and we have NEVER stayed in a house that was this nice. If we owned a house in Highlands, it would be this house! The furnishings were so much nicer than most rentals! The location was perfect! Thank you for our perfect mountain get away.

We totally enjoyed this house. It was well equipped and very easy to live in. It appears to be relatively new. The back porch overlooks a lovely back yard; we spent many hours reading there on comfortable porch furniture. Galax does a superb job managing the home.

Stunning property . Lots of space for 6 adults . Great location with short walk to centre of Highlands.
Property manager was very proactive . Told us in advance about problem with Refrigerator - put 2 smaller refrigerators in the garage which worked well for us.

The home was so nice, and a quick ten minute walk to town. I am not sure when it was built but felt brand new, it was so clean and not cluttered at all. It has a very spacious kitchen and while we were not there for meals, it had everything you could possibly need. I would definitely rent again.

The rooms, kitchen and fire pit exceeded expectations from the pictures. The group was able to walk to town and nearby trails.

The house and grounds really are more beautiful than the pictures. The furnishings were to our taste, the master bed so comfortable. Short and easy walk to downtown, access to hiking and shops. Very quiet neighborhood. We felt right at home. We will definitely stay here when we return to Highlands.

We made steaks on the Weber grill under the covered back porch with the fire pit going and lit the wood burning fireplace inside. Perfect setting for a family get together.

This home is lovely. It was clean and exactly what is needed for a restful stay in the mountains. Easy and enjoyable walk to town. Very spacious and comfortable.

From booking to checking in to the stay itself …everything was wonderful. House is so comfortable. Decorated beautifully. Pictures don’t do it justice. More room than the pictures show. Cooked our Thanksgiving dinner in the house and had everything we needed. Wonderful selection of pots and pans. Had a couple questions while there and response was immediate. Location to town is very walkable. In fact we walked home one night from Ugly Dog. Would definitely stay again. 5 stars for sure!!

We had the best time at this property! We will definitely be back!! The home was so clean and fully stocked. The beds were very comfortable as well. We loved sitting on the back porch with the gas firepit. It was so tranquil!! Our Golden Retriever loved the backyard and being able to relax on the back porch. Holly, the property manager was so sweet and very responsive to any questions or requests I had!! The house was also a short walk to town (about 8 min). The walk was so pretty because you pass this large, gorgeous lake on the way to town. You will not regret your stay here!!

Hands down, the best rental we have ever stayed in. The house and property are absolutely gorgeous. The decor and finishes are top notch. Beds were comfortable and everyone had plenty of room. Kitchen is so well stocked! Communication was great. Walking distance to main street with a beautiful pond you pass, and roads are not busy for safety. We can't wait to stay again!

The interior is much larger than appears in photos, especially the kitchen. Beautiful outdoor stream and bridge. Nice walk into town and to the Botanical Garden. Would definitely recommend this property.

This is our second visit and we had a fantastic time again. Everything is always clean and beautiful at the home, the check-in process is very easy and the house is well stocked so that you need nothing during your stay! Love it!

We had a lovely time. The distance to downtown was easy for our family of five to walk. We spent time on the beautiful back porch w/privet backyard. The space was clean and comfy. We will definitely stay here again!
