This house was well appointed and very comfortable home in a great location. Also the manager was kind enough to send me lots of details to plan out our trip as this was the first time visit for us!

We had a fabulous time at Fish n Chips. Everything was lovely and just perfect for our family. Chrissie was incredibly helpful and accommodating with anything we needed, and super fast to respond. We can’t wait to return!

Great communication with the owner. Very clean, comfortable beds. No complaints at all about the home! I ONLY took off one star for location because we typically stay on the beach and this home is located in the woods a bit so it's more of a tree house type feel. Just a matter of personal preference. But the decor is beachy and you're literally a two minute ride from the east AND the south beaches. One minute ride to Mike's Bites was handy too! Nice little selection of games and puzzles for the kids/teens and we made some great memories and got some nice pictures with the stand up paddle board. Nice beach chairs too. Kitchen decently appointed. It really was a great week. Thanks Chrissie!!

Absolutely perfect! You will want to visit this island it is beautiful and property was exactly as pictured. Host was very responsive and had excellent communication throughout the whole process starting with the booking. 10/10 would recommend. We will be back!

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at Fish n Chips! The property is beautiful! Modern and clean with every convenience. It was our first time staying at that end of the island and we loved how close it was to shopping and restaurants. The guest cottage was very well appointed and we also loved having an outdoor shower. I would highly recommend this property.

Our family of four take an annual trip to BHI each summer. Overall we were very happy with the house. The communication with the owner / pm was fantastic, she was very responsive and helpful. The house was a perfect amount of space for my wife and I, and our two young kids. My mother also joined us for a few nights, and the separate guest cottage was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfast and a few meals, and connected with the family room, comfortable space for all to eat, drink and relax. The outside deck space was nice, unfortunately we didn’t use much of it due to the heat and humidity the week of our visit. I’d imagine this would be a nice space to enjoy in some cooler weather. There was an outdoor shower which was very useful as well coming back from the beach or pool. The house came with Shoals Club access, which we used. Overall it was okay, other homes we’ve rented on the island had access to the BHI club, which we prefer a bit more due to more kid friendly pool areas. The provided 6 seater golf cart was comfortable and reliable, no issues at all. The neighborhood was quite and set back a bit. We opted for this type of home this year vs being on the ocean like last year to experience a different type of rental location. Both have their pros and cons, but I’m sure we’d rent in a similar location again. Overall we very much enjoyed the trip and would recommend this house!

We had a wonderful stay at Fish'n Chips. We love this location on the island. The house itself was excellent: very clean, comfortable bed and high quality sheets. Chrissie was very responsive. They had everything we needed--bikes, beach chairs, etc.

The home is charming, clean and updated - a nice spacious kitchen with all the necessities and is comfortable for sleeping - owner is wonderful with communication and helpful with any needs that you may require.

We had a wonderful time at BHI! The house was beautiful and we were sad to leave!

Would strongly recommend a stay here for anyone gathering at bald head island. Three big nice rooms. Even a small bunk room. Kitchen was well appointed, showers worked great, AC was strong!

We loved our stay at Fish n Chips for spring break. The home was clean, updated and extremely well organized. We felt like we were in a treehouse eating meals upstairs and enjoyed the outdoor area and grill for appetizers. We lucked out with beautiful weather and it was an easy golf cart ride to East Beach and Shoals Club where we spent lots of time as well. Thank you for a wonderful stay at your home!

We stayed for 4 nights in April with our family (3 kids ages 6 and under). This is a great house!! The property manager is delightful, easy to work with, and super helpful. We loved the location in Cape Fear and proximity to our favorite beach access points on East Beach and South Beach. The golf cart was clean and had zero issues (this was a first of any of our rental homes;). The kitchen and home supplies were well-stocked and nicely labeled. Everything worked great and the space is beautiful! We highly recommend this lovely home.

The home was absolutely a perfect escape to ring in the New Year. Nicely renovated inside with large living spaces and bedrooms perfect for a family or a group of friends. Check in process was so easy and the location just a few minutes from the Shoals Club and the market/shop area. The house was just as described along with everything in it comfortable and super clean. The host, Chrissie, could not have been more attentive during the whole process. Thank you, Chrissie, for your hospitality!

We loved staying at Fish ‘n Chips, and look forward to staying here again. We especially appreciated the nicer furniture and higher end bed linens- it really does make all the difference! Chrissie was so easy to communicate with and very quick to respond. We have stayed at several other homes in the Cape Fear Station area, and, this is by far, our favorite!

Loved it! Only drawback, and I’m reaching for this one, is my wife and daughter are afraid of spiders 😱and we had some awesome Golden silk orb weaver spiders! I loved them but my girls didn’t want to share the outdoor space with them :( Great Island! Great house!

Fish N' Chips was the perfect home for my family as we celebrated my cousins wedding. It's ideally located close to the Shoal's club, the conservatory and East Beach. The Host was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Check-in and Check-out was a breeze. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. One small note (this did not affect our stay, but may affect others choices), the living areas and some decorative bedroom windows lacked window coverings. If you require complete privacy in the evening, even in common spaces, or enjoy completely blacking out your bedroom. This may not be the best option. But if you enjoy letting the light in and the view of the Carolina costal forest, it won't bother you at all! I would return to Fish N' Chips again!

This was our second year staying with this host (we previously stayed at their other property) and we had another great trip. The house was clean & had all the essentials. The bikes were in great condition and the use of a 6-person golf cart was a huge plus. This is an excellent location - minutes from the beach, Mike's Bites and the Conservancy and a short bike/cart ride to the market. Highly recommended!

Our family just finished a great vacation on BHI at Fish ‘n Chips. The house was in a great location and very close to the beach via golf cart. The house was beautifully decorated even down to the cleaner spray bottles. The furniture was very comfortable too. Great outdoor seating as well.

My family and I spent a few days at this home and I would highly recommend it! The home was very clean, beautifully decorated and well organized. It was well stocked with anything you may need including beach towels and lots of great beach accessories. Only a short distance to the beautiful South Beach access by golf cart or bike. The host was extremely helpful and very communicative.

Beautiful home and location. Everything about this stay was great. Beds are super comfortable, lots of light in the house and well organized kitchen. It’s not missing anything! :) The upstairs is resting in beautiful live Oak trees. Windows all the way around are just gorgeous and it feels like a tree house. Lots of great touches and decor. New and very comfortable couches and pillows. My older teens played games and said the house felt homey. The only thing we would have added was a second golf cart but those are very easy to rent on the island if you like a little more freedom for your small group. The golf cart with the home is in great condition and seats 6 and has a fold down space for cargo. This was the cleanest home we’ve stayed in over the last 14 years. They’re doing a great job with cleanliness. I think this is the best location on the island. East beach and the access areas are easy to get to and the market is also close. Thanks for a wonderful vacation and sharing your home.

What a great little cottage for families! We loved our stay here and the owner is fantastic and super communicative. The golf cart is fast (not always common with rentals) and there was plenty of kitchen goods to cook most meals here. Very close to East Beach accesses and tucked away in nature. I would suggest bringing a fan for the crofter as the unit stays fairly warm. We had a great stay!
