We really enjoyed our stay in this sweet upstairs carriage house apartment of an older home. The setting was so peaceful with beautiful flowers and lawn and a lake with ducks and turtles. Just lovely and perfect for the two of us. The apartment was very clean, and everything you could need was provided. The decor was tasteful and so comfortable. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The location was not far from the town of St. Mary's - about a 5-minute drive and convenient to other locations. While this great little place is not right downtown, it is a perfect spot for a peaceful stay in St. Mary's.

Everything about this listing is accurate. My friend & I had a great weekend here! We took the ferry over to Cumberland Island. We swam at the beach & hiked to the ruins. Being early May, the weather was perfect. Not too cool or too hot. The owner is very attentive. Our remote batteries went out around 9pm. We texted the owner & he brought us new batteries! I highly recommend staying here!

This is a hidden gem! Only 5 minutes from town, but the location is so quiet and peaceful. The apartment is fantastic, with everything you need. Mike, the owner, is very hospitable and kind. He also is a wealth of knowledge about the history of Cumberland Island. Loved staying here and will stay again. You will not be disappointed with your stay.

We were delighted with this well-appointed, tasteful wee “house” above the garage. Our host was welcoming as well as sensitive to our need for privacy. He had anticipated our every need, from abundant towels and toiletries, to phone chargers, the use of a cooler, excellent coffee, activities for children, and a great selection of books.

This place was perfect for me and my daughter! Very clean and the perfect size! Everything we needed for our trip to Cumberland Island! Hope to come back soon!

This was a comfortable place for us. I would have liked a bigger bed but it didn’t take away from our stay. I really appreciated the coffee and the rest of the amenities! It was nice to watch the birds and the turtles in the pond. Very quiet neighborhood.

My husband and I were looking for a place close to the Cumberland Island Ferry and somewhere we had not visited before. This carriage house was perfect for the two of us! It was 6 minutes from the best bakery where we ate delicious breakfasts and 7 minutes from the ferry in the small Southern town of St. Marys. Mike, the host, was very helpful and accommodating. The amenities in the apartment were the best. We will stay here again!

Everything with this property was exactly as described in the listing ...The host was so accommodating and ensured our stay was excellent and that we had everything we needed, including super easy checkout... The property is located in a nice quiet neighborhood and situated conveniently between St. Mary's and the naval sub base... We truly enjoyed our short trip and appreciate the hospitality... Making the reservation was easy to do. Directions to the apartment were perfect. The apartment is impeccable and supplied as stated on Vrbo. The host was immediately responsive to a question i had. St Mary's itself is super quaint and a tight knit community. So much so that we met the owner's nephew on the Cumberland ferry and also a neighbor. Highly recommend this apartment and can't wait to return.

This was a very cozy guest house, mattress was good, the bathroom was well equipped, hair dryer, magnifying mirror for my wife make up, plenty of towels and toiletries. There is no stove to cook but there is a coffee machine, microwave, cups and plates. Simple check-in and check-out. The owner, Mile, was very friendly and open to help us. We enjoyed our stay.

Very, very cute garage apartment that is super clean! Beds are so comfy and the sheets are wonderful. Spacious bathroom with plenty of towels and washcloths provided. Fridge is stocked with drinks and they even have snacks for their guests. We will definitely stay here again.

The studio apartment was very charming and tastefully decorated. It was also very clean. We loved it and didn’t want to leave. Our host Mike was a true southern gentleman and we loved his dog. We plan to go back in the fall!

Our stay at the carriage apartment was just what we needed. So relaxing and peaceful. And the pond with the turtles and ducks is fun to feed them and watch them. The host Mike was fantastic and his dog Kizzy was nice too. Everything was perfect. Great place to stay. We will be back!!!! It was great.

If you want a comfortable, quiet, clean place to stay with a considerate host, stay here! It also is on a lovely pond with rocking chairs where you can sip coffee or have a nightcap.
