Fun cozy cabin right on the lake.

The owners were super nice and helpful. It's wonderful to be right on the lake. The patio/dock is large, with lots of furniture including umbrellas. It's comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable. We were able to rent a boat and dock it mid-day at the house (we only rented it for the day) and jump off the dock to swim. Just be aware that two of the 3 bedrooms are connected so that you have to walk through a bedroom to get to the bathroom. This wasn't an issue for us but it's good to know. Also, the ceilings are quite low as it seems this was formerly a basement that's been finished as an apartment. Communication with the management company was mostly great. I had a website issue with VRBO and they were really wonderful and helped it get smoothed out. This isn't a big deal, but We let them know that we would be arriving a day late but they didn't let the owners know and the owners were wondering when we'd arrive. The next day the management sent out an email asking how our first night was despite the fact that we hadn't arrived yet. We had another question upon leaving but also didn't hear back from the management company, but it wasn't an emergency or we would have tried harder. I'm sure the company would have been responsive if there were any actual issues.

I brought my boat and we were able to dock at the house and that was great. We were able to swim off the private dock. The ladder to climb out of the water was scetchy but it worked. The patio was great with the barbque, tables and chairs.

Had a great time with my family, our hosts Gary and Tammy gracious and helpful. What beautiful property on a beautiful lake. Thank you for memorable family vacation. Ken and Erin

We absolutely loved the deck!!! The description was completely false!!! It’s looks like a two story house but it’s not!!! There are only three bedrooms when it’s advertised as four. When I asked the owners they said the fourth bedroom was a blowup in the living room?!!!! You had to walk through bedroom to get to another. Thank goodness it wasn’t a couple weekend bc that would be awkward. I’d rather have just slept in the deck to be honest…..the owners were in our business the whole time

Loved the Arden home. The views were amazing . We only like about 30 minutes away however the stay was well worth it. The owners are very friendly and give you lots of privacy. We wish we would of brought some laid floaters to enjoy the water.

It was an amazing property. The house was clean everything was as described. The kids loved staying there they even got to fish which was fun. Will definitely be recommending to our friends and family. And hopefully returning soon as well.

Foosball game outside is great, as is access to the lake via own deck, awesome for early am pajama fishing. Plenty of space outside, including 2 tables to eat at. It'll sleep up to 4 couples (8), or 4 people if everyone has to have own bed. Only small inconvenience is there is only one shower in master bedroom. There is one additional common use bathroom with super small sink and no shower - have to be careful to not put splashes on the floor. The owners live right above and are super helpful if needed, while the online communication is with a management company. We've had family stay there prior, and will likely return ourselves.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Alden House. It was perfect for a short trip away in a beautiful serene setting. 🧡

Great property. Loved the layout, decor, cozy feeling. Has everything you need for a convenient stay. Would definitely stay here again. Patio/deck was awesome!!!!

I am submitting this review in response to the owner leaving a review of me as a guest. I had a reservation for this property and we were unable to stay due to illness. There was written communication between the owner and I that indicated we could reschedule when well again. A few weeks later, I tried to reschedule and the owner refused to honor his offer without me paying again despite not being refunded the first time. I filed a dispute against the owner with my credit card company and submitted all written documents as evidence. My credit card company won this case and refunded me in full. I do not recommend renting this property due to the poor communication with the owner.

Great property and host. The dock was great for our boat and kids swimming. We look forward to staying again!

We booked the property to celebrate our friends 78th birthday. We couldn’t have found a better spot. The view from the deck is amazing. Would highly recommend this rental.

This is a very nice, quaint 3-bed, 1.5 bath cabin with a fold-out hide-a-bed in the family room. The kitchen is fairly large, and has all the pans and tools you would ever need. The home is nicely decorated with a fishing cabin theme. What really stands out is the outdoor patio, deck, and large pier with lake access to dock your boat or just swim. This location and configuration is truly ideal for a family that wants direct access to Bass Lake. The owners live in a separate building on the property, and they were great hosts. They were available if we needed anything, but every amenity was already available. Full supply of towels and laundry if needed. In summary, this VRBO exceeded our expectations, and we will be back next summer for a longer stay.

The property was in amazing condition and spotless. We couldn't ask for a better experience. We will be coming back for sure.

I loved how they had a the most delightful smelling goat hand soaps and had a story to go with it! It was their own little company farm that they have; it was the best! This house was very cute and well maintained. The owners were very kind and gracious and full of info about the bass lake community. The location was awesome. Came with boat parking for 2 and a very nice private dock area. Grounds were well kept and the parking was sufficient for 2 smaller vehicles. Will definitely stay again.

This was the ideal location for our family visit out to the West Coast to hit up a few National Parks! I was a little skeptical about not having AC but we didn’t need it at all. The owners were very friendly and available to help make sure we had everything at our disposal to make our stay pleasant and memorable.

Listing is not advertised correctly! Our plans for spring break changed and we were looking for a house last minute. I jumped on VRBO and looked for a house on the lake. Found this great looking listing for “ENTIRE cabin lakefront.” The pictures looked amazing and the price was great. When you look through the pictures there is a picture from the deck looking back to the cabin and it’s two stories! It looked perfect! After reviewing the listing (after I booked) in closer detail I saw that it’s only the bottom level and the owner lives on site. It says the top of the cabin is another rental and that was not part of our space. There was 8 of us. 4 teens and 4 adults. The cabin super small (it would have been nice if the SQ FT was included) but now I see why. If privacy isn’t an issue for you this place is great. It’s right on the lake. But we left for the entire day so that we could feel like we had our own space for vacation. Owner was very nice and greeted us when we arrived. I couldn’t find the code to get into the door. The owner did not want to give me the code. He walked down to the door and opened it for us. Not sure why that was an issue on giving us the code. If I would have known that this was not the entire home I would not have booked this.
