Pros about this house- elevator is clutch bc this is a 4 story house with a ton of stairs. The view is beautiful and neighborhood is quiet. Negatives about this house- almost every stick of furniture/appliance needs to be updated/replaced. The carpet is sandy and smelly and the cleaners apparently do not clean it between visits because it was a mess when we got there. Tubs are mildewy and even when asked to come back and clean they were still gross (bought my own chlorox clean up and killed the mildew myself!!) Not going to beat a dead horse here, the company has been told about all the other stuff. Not something the owners can help but if you have a hard time with walking/climbing, the dunes in front of the house to the beach are very steep and not an easy stroll for someone with bad knees or hips. Its beautful once you get there but there are no stairs or boardwalk. We will be back to this beautiful area but not to this house.

The pool was awesome! Beach fabulous! Decor nice! Needs some updating, maintenance and a good cleaning!

The Moon Palace had plenty of room (we had 15 people)for everyone. Walking distance to the beach and great pool. Everyone had a great vacation!!

Moon Palace was a delight. While the cleaning left something to be desired, the home itself had everything we needed for our first time visiting the Outer Banks. We were not familiar with the area but grew to love the quiet nature of Salvo as we ventured out to more touristy towns. It was a nice little oasis to come back to. This home does have a LOT of stairs so beware if you are traveling with anyone who does not do well taking multiples trips up and down. The photos made the beach walk look very far away, but we were pleasantly surprised it’s really not that far at all. Wide beach, pretty setting, and nice ocean views from the living area when it was too windy to be outside.

House was clean and ready for our stay. No issues with anything

We loved our stay at Moon Palace! We maxed out the house in occupancy and still had room. We kept losing kids in the house LOL! The views from the perch were amazing and nothing beats being on the beach with nightly bonfires. The house is a little dated - but we didn't care. It was clean and stocked. Our property manager was FANTASTIC. The listing says 2 cars for parking -- that's incorrect. Don't let that stop you from booking. We had a camper van and 3 large vehicles with driveway to spare. Highly recommend for price and location.

The house is as advertised. Long hot walk to the ocean and can’t see the water from the house. House needs a few updates but it’s nice. It was clean but thats only because the cleaners had to come back after the “inspection”. Had a few issues and Mgt company was slow to do anything. Had bug issue they never solved.

The property was great for a relatively large group (12 adults). Five bedrooms for adults and two tailored to kids. Well stocked kitchen, hot tub, nice deck, unheated pool. Beach access. Master bedroom had incredible views of the ocean. Moon rise, sun rise and off shore storms were great to see.
