This was an absolutely terrific property and we had a great experience with the managing rental company. The location is unbeatable. Less than a 15-minute drive to downtown (a lot longer coming back if there is beach traffic), and a 15-minute walk to local bars/shops/restaurants. The condo was impeccable and very comfortable. Lolo's is a 2-minute drive from the condo, and if you like She Crab Soup, you need to try theirs! Outstanding! We would definitely stay at this property again and would not hesitate to book other local Vacasa-managed properties.

Were in Charleston for a wedding. Chose this location so we can be close to there, but still by the beach. So pleased with this condo. Beautiful inside and out, very close to Folly Beach and ocean...yet very close to downtown Charleston. Loved seeing the dolphins in the mornings too. Highly recommend and definitely want to come back.

Lots of light to watch the sunsets, pretty sunroom, easy parking, walking distance to downtown Folley beach. Nice accommodations. Wouldn’t walk to downtown at night, but easy during the daytime.

Excellent facility, close to all historical sites. Very convenient to find and to drive to Charleston. Very clean and excellent view.

We love staying at Mariner’s Kay for the location. The sunrise/sunset is beautiful to watch from the screened in porch! It’s a quick and easy walk into downtown Folly for food/drinks/ the beach without having to pay for parking. And it’s a quick drive into Charleston if that’s what you and your group decide to do. Condo is newly updated very recently inside and out and everything feels clean and comfortable. Would absolutely love to stay here again!

Comfortable, relaxing along with plenty to do. The location is perfect for those who love the beach and sightseeing. When not doing either you can relax on the enclosed porch watching the dolphins play and enjoying the beautiful pool area. Plenty of space for everyone. Great for all ages.

The heat didn’t work,the shower water didn’t get hot enough.

Condo is well furnished and maintained and has an amazing porch over looking the river. Beds are very comfortable. Only problem is gate access..key pad did not work and no one in the gate house nor on site to help.

Cons: The check-in email indicated we could get into the gated community with a four digit code and when we got into the unit we would be given a fob. When we tried to use the code from that email, it did not work. So I walked to the condo while my family waited outside the gate. Housekeeping was just finishing up and gave us their fob to get in since the unit was not ready for us. Thinking we could trust the checkin email that said had our own fob once we entered the unit, we used the housekeeping fob and waited outside our unit for just a few minutes then returned the fob to housekeeping. We found what we believed to be our fob and my husband went grocery shopping. However upon his return the fob didn’t work. Me and the two kids were at the pool and had to call the 800 number to problem solve. We were told to wait for the local team to call us because they had no other code to give us. We waited and waited with no way to get our car into the community and there was no parking outside behind the gate. I had to walk two kids under 7 outside to the gate to get the groceries and there’s no sidewalk to walk on. My kids had to walk in the road to the gate and one slipped on the giant puddle in the road hurting himself. Not safe or ideal. My husband had to pull to the side waiting in the car since there’s no parking out there and we were afraid it would be towed. That’s when I finally remembered we were given a texting number. I texted that number and was informed of a new code and that this unit did not have a fob. So basically the entire check in email was false. Code was wrong and there was no fob to be given. The 800 number was not helpful and had I not texted the local number, I wonder if I would have ever gotten a new gate code. Secondly, what was this random fob in our unit that made us believe we could get back in? In addition to the check in process being a huge hassle, the linens were old and had some stains. The end table in living room had dust like it was not cleaned. Good: the screened patio was amazing. We saw dolphins there. We liked the location and there were amenities like dishwashing and laundry soap.

The beds were wonderful, the view was great but the sliding door mustn’t seal properly so there was a continuous whistling sound because of the breeze. Also the gate code didn’t work. Every time someone went out with the car we had to walk to the gate to let them in. You get 1 fob but need it for the gate and the pool so we couldn’t take it shopping.

Mothers and Daughters weekend getaway was so much fun. This place was so nice and we felt secure. Only thing I could say negative would be the shower curtain liners in both bathrooms had stains on them. I felt they needed to be replaced. Other than that I give it a thumbs up.

The property was comfortable and a great location. But Vacasa ,the property management, say no help. I drove ten hours to the place and when we arrived the code they gave us to get through the gate didn't work nor did the gate card they had for us in the unit. We called twice for help and sent text messages. The people we talked to just read us back the instruction in the email we already had and then promised someone would be in touch. We never heard back! We used the code of another guest and I finally got the card fixed at the complex office, not Vacasa. They are good at taking your money, sending you email and text, but don't expect any help.

26 Mariner’s Cay went above and beyond my expectations. The condo was beautifully decorated and very accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised to see everything I needed upon my arrival as if I were at a relatives house instead of a rental property. I saw dolphins multiple times per day while enjoying the screened in porch. The only negative thing I can say is I had to leave! Thank you so much for the southern hospitality!
