Nothing everything was just right

Our room, the facilities, the food and most of the stuff were absolutely amazing. The location was very close to the center and the beach . I would happily visiting the hotel again.

Some of the stuff were a bit arrogant and rude. We asked for a bottle of water during our dinner and the waitress said us with a strange tone that normally we have to pay for our bottle ( we didn't have any objection of course ) but she would fill our grasses so as not to pay like she was doing us a favor. We didn't find that very polite .

the restaurant had very average food and also the waitresses were unfriendly. the room smelled of sewage and it was impossible to adjust the temperature of the air conditioner. the private pool terrace was partially cleaned once in 2 weeks. you can hear very well everything that happens in the hallway. there was a door from the corridor to the terrace which was not closed and other guests often came in. the staff comes into the room without invitation or warning (without calling or knocking). the beach is much further than in the pictures - to get to the beach faster, you have to cross the road through a tunnel, which is not intended for pedestrians. Or you have to walk longer along the road, which could take about 10 minutes to reach the beach. a limited selection of massages are available in the spa center, but the center itself with the pool and saunas is not available.

You can see that the hotel just opened and is a bit understaffed/ personnel has not much experience.

Really nice hotel, really liked the pool & the evening entertainment (very classy entertainment, not cheesy). Pool snacks / lunch menu was really nice (extra fee but worth it). Room was nice & clean, good facilities in the room.

Buffet food wasn’t great, would have been good if all restaurants were a la carte considering the price paid for the hotel. Allergy information should have been provided with the dish labels rather than having to speak with a chef / member of staff as this made the buffet a non relaxing experience. Drinks service in the buffet restaurant was slow - by the time our drinks came we’d finished our meal. Would be good if someone showed you to your table so they could take a drinks order straight away - you are able to walk in & choose a table so sometimes no one notices you for a long period of time. Some staff members weren’t very friendly or accommodating (some pool bar staff). Disconnect / lack of communication between staff members which impacted the service (possibly because the hotel has just reopened but needs to be fixed). Hersonissos is a very large touristy town so okay if you don’t plan to leave the hotel but definitely not the nicest area of Crete for a relaxing Greek experience.

Really loved the team in the whole hotel. Very lovely people that make you feel like you are at home. Thank you very much for a perfect birthday vacay.
