My spouse and I enjoyed our stay in this charming Bywater cottage. We walked everywhere, even down to the French quarter. Several great places for food, drink, and music are right around the corner. We’d gladly stay here again.

Clean lovely cottage with easy walk to restaurants

The cottage was small but fitting for the area. Garden area was beautiful! There are several restaurants/bars within walking distance including a dog park. We also walked to the French Quarter one evening, but caught an Uber on way back.

This little Bywater cottage was a perfect resting place for us for a quick night out in New Orleans. The cottage is tucked back behind the main house and very private. The cottage was cozy and clean and perfect for the two of us. The bed was comfortable and we got a good night’s sleep even though it’s a smaller bed than our king!. It was a little chilly at night, but the space heater helped! I loved the location and will definitely look up this listing for future trips to New Orleans. It was easy and inexpensive to Uber around the Bywater and French quarter from this location.

This was an anniversary trip and our first time to New Orleans- we had so much fun and this was the perfect hub for all of the good food we devoured and amazing places we visited! Don’t rent a car- entire city is walkable or use the blue bike app to get around. The cottage was clean and comfortable just as advertised. Will stay here again and recommend to friends!

This is a true cottage: comfortable and charming! We did not meet the owners, but did have communication with them upon arrival. They were very professional, and we were beyond pleased that they accommodate a dog. A clean cottage with all the comforts of home. We found ourselves relaxing in the 2 sitting chairs in the cozy living room, listening to local WWOZ and didn’t want to move! We loved walking the neighborhood to nearby restaurants, coffee/bakery and dive bars. Bacchanal wines and Parleaux beer lab are a step up. On our daily dog walks, we admired the architecture of houses extending back a quarter of a block in an array of color variations. Our last day we visited the Bark Market for all things dog and art supplies before stopping in the FQ to visit our favorite shops and bars (Cosimo’s is known for its dog friendly atmosphere)! If you are a frequent visitor to the French quarter, you know how hectic it becomes with all the tourists, do yourself a favor and have a local experience in the Bywater in this secluded and secure cottage!

Totally impressed with this location. It was only my husband and I this trip, the house was perfect. If we travel again by ourselves, we will definitely come back. We even had an unforeseen illness on our way there with my husband going into hospital and they understood completely and handled it very professionally. It was a very relaxing home and we could walk to many places in that neighborhood.

We enjoyed staying at the beautiful cottage for our 13th year anniversary, it definitely felt like home. The neighborhood is lovely, super walkable and safe. We walked to a few restaurants nearby, and got more of a local vibe than the touristy bustle of the French Quarter. Parking was not an issue at all, which is something I was concerned about before. Overall wonderful place to stay if you’re looking to relax and unwind.

The location and property were perfect for our stay. There were a lot of places nearby and the property itself afforded shade and privacy in the outdoor area.

Enjoyed the neighborhood and our stay. Visited many of the places mentioned in Greg’s description and all were great— our favorites. The Sunday service at nearby Grace Community Church was really nice. Highly recommend this cottage. Quick, easy drive to French quarter, WWII Museum, & Garden District.

Adorable place! The garden you walk through to access the space is so atmospheric and the cozy and adorable cottage makes you feel right at home.

Absolutely lovely cottage! Immaculate! Lots of thoughtful extras, such as coffee set-up, a bottle of wine, an umbrella at the door. Beautifully furnished and a very comfy bed. Greg showed us in and made sure we had everything we needed. Will absolutely stay here again.

This charming cottage was everything we needed for our stay. Everything you could need was provided, the bed is comfortable, and it is a short walk from many places to eat and listen to music. The owner was accommodating and responsive. The whole experience was very pleasant!

I loved staying in the cottage and I want to go back sooo bad!!!😊 Everything about it made me happy!! It was private, peaceful, safe, and very quiet. I took my small dog and she loved going for a walk in the neighborhood every day. I wish I had spent more time there. The owners were very helpful when needed😊 I would go back!!! The only thing and I don’t want to mention it but feel I should. The tub doesn’t work as a tub, just as a shower. Everything else was great and voided that out😊

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay in the cozy cottage. Check-in was a breeze, and we were welcomed by jazz music playing on the local radio station upon entering. It was the perfect way to get us ready for a long weekend in NOLA! The cottage had everything we needed during our stay, and the outdoor garden provided a nice private oasis to relax with some coffee before a long day downtown. We enjoyed staying in Bywater, as it was close to some of the recommended restaurants on our list (Bywater American Bistro and Bacchanal Wine Bar were fantastic!), and it was a short Uber ride to downtown, although most days we chose to walk and explore. If you're planning a trip to New Orleans, I highly recommend booking your stay at the cottage!

Very cozy Creole Cottage and a quiet little Courtyard; perfect for a little getaway!

The property was perfect for a couple. Quick response by Greg, the face to face check in was nice.

This place is cute and well decorated, I love the vintage vibe- has the amenities needed for a short stay and is not too far from the main attractions while also being secluded and peaceful, which is what we were looking for. The owners are friendly and communicated very well. Important to notice that the space is indeed small, which is listed and we knew the square footage, but the bedroom/bed was so small that my husband didn't properly fit in it! Or the shower and toilet, so anyone 6'4 or over is definitely going to struggle, haha.

Easy check in. Excellent recommendations for local eateries. Perfect location for peace and quiet with restaurants/bars close by or a long walk (quick drive) to Jackson Square. Also beautiful inspiration for a garden both at vrbo and around neighborhood. Easy check out.

We were so so happy with our stay in the bywater area! The neighborhood has many hidden gems such as bars and restaurants where we met many friendly locals. It was super clean and the host were so helpful and kind! It’s a very short drive to the French quarters as well!

Place was perfect little home away from home

The cottage behind Greg & Jessica's home was just perfect for us. It has a cool NOLA ambience, and they have furnished it for comfort! They greeted us warmly when we arrived, and made sure we were comfortable. Greg is a font of knowledge on New Orleans, and he was very helpful in directing us to the restaurants and watering holes in their Bywater area. The property is about 15 minutes from downtown, an easy drive. We have absolutely nothing bad to say about our hosts, their hospitality, and their accommodation. We would certainly try to book them on any future trips to the Crescent City!

This was a perfect oasis for my partner and I to get away from the chaos of the French quarter and the rest of the city. This cottage was gorgeous inside and out. We ended up taking the bus to get back and forth to other parts of the city which was only a 3-4 min walk from the cottage and ran frequently. We loved the neighborhood- so many fun cafes and bars, and we absolutely loved The Joint for bbq! The hosts were responsive and helpful and replied quickly with any questions we had while planning our trip.
