Amazing house, amazing views, amazing vacation!

85 degree weather 5 days in a row. The sand was clean and fun for digging.the hot tub was amazing and a great time was had by all.

I was really looking forward to this vacation. The house was a bit of a disappointment. It needs some help. The air vents were really dirty and filters missing. This is a health issue. The maintenance person installed 2 new filters. Nails were exposed on the decks and stairs. Wood was splitting on the deck (some of them were screwed down). The deck and stairs need repair. It was dangerous to everyone including children staying there. Again a health and safety issue. The back door was broken. This was reported before our visit by another renter. The back screened-in-deck ceiling fan did not work. The bathroom towel bars in 2 of the bathrooms were broken off the wall. Nails and sharp edges were exposed. The maintenance person fixed one of them. The inside mechanism in one of the bathrooms broke. Kitchen cabinet handle broken. The maintenance person fixed it. The light bulbs in one of the bedroom needed replacement. The maintenance person fixed it. Some of The sliding doors to the decks were difficult to open and close. What did I love? The view, the layout, the comfort of the home. The pool table and games were great.

The house was well equipped and nicely furnished on the inside but is in need of some repairs on the exterior. The stairs leading to the front door of the home are very steep with worn boards and some screws sticking up in places. The railings are loose and definitely not very safe for anyone who needs to hold onto them for stability. In the living area by the front windows there is a very soft spot in the floor where it gives way when you step on it. Almost all the sliding doors are in need of some type of repair because they do not slide well. The screened in porch really needs fixed, there are a lot of holes in the screens, especially the door which doesn't close properly. The front deck area is nice but the railing is very loose and there are gaps where the railing is not connected to other sections. I would not feel comfortable having a small child on the deck with the railing in its current condition as of August 2022. The lower deck with the pool and hot tub is very nice. The pool area has a locking gate which keeps small children from accessing it. There is another set of stairs that lead down from the pool area and they are very unsafe! They are very steep, boards are warped, there is a hole in one of the boards that is approximately 2×4" and multiple screws coming out. We did not use these stairs at all once we saw the condition. Outside stairs leading from the lower deck to the ground would be very helpful as would exterior stairs from the lower deck to the upper deck. The interior of the home was very nice, the double ovens in the kitchen were amazing, it was all well furnished with plenty of room. If it wasn't for the exterior problems and the soft spot in the living room this would be a 5 star property.

Location was good, but no direct access to the beach from any of the decks. Good deck access, but only 2 of the doors locked in the entire house. Coming from the city, safety is important - a wooden stick in a sliding glass door is not exactly a lock. Big kitchen, but inoperative dishwasher (1 worked) - why not fix the other one? Terrible trash cans in the kitchen. Too small. The steps leading into the house as well as to the pool are in need of major repair. Nails sticking out, rotted sections - not safe. Screen porch was nice, but needs updating. There is one section of floor in the living room where you can feel the floor slant. As well as one spot that feels you will fall through the floor. Noticed lampshades held together with duct tape, shower rod not even installed, just hanging on the edge of the shower stall. Completely unacceptable wifi - only the 2G worked and was spotty. This house needs some repairs.

While the general bath/beds/kitchen were clean the rest of the house needs a serious clean. Dead bugs on couch back, cobwebs everywhere inside and out, mold and water in sliding door track, kitchen cabinets and window have food splatter everything. Walls are so dirty they need painted. Broken door handles-almost all sliding and a bathroom. Sliding doors difficult to open. Downstairs showers drains right through the floor and ONTO the sand! —I hope nobody pees in the shower. Vacasa offered to have someone come in but since our power was off when we arrived we wanted to sit and enjoy our vacation rather than have cleaners our way in for hours.
