The owner has been renovating. You can see the updates they made. There are large TVs in both bedrooms and the living room. The bedrooms are a good size with a closet. The beds are brand new. They are not as comfortable as I would have liked, but we all have different likes in a mattress. Sheets and comforters were clean. Towels were not only clean, but they were also soft and plush. Although it’s not a pristine neighborhood, everyone seemed to keep to themselves and it was quiet at night.

Pros: Close to downtown, Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants, TVs and surveillance system are up to date, newly painted. Sergio, the owner, was kind and responsive via messaging. Dan, the upstairs tenant, introduced himself shortly after we arrived, which was reassuring. Off street parking was a plus. Cons: The location, although convenient to downtown, seemed a bit sketchy. The outside “common” door was not locked at night, so that we could get in but would’ve felt safer if it would have had been locked. Maybe a keypad there as well? The beds were super uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on the air mattress out of the 3 mattresses available, which was mediocre at best. The water in the bathroom sink was hooked up incorrectly, so the hot and cold was switched. No big deal once we figured it out. The shower was super small. My husband had a hard time maneuvering and I had to shave my legs blindly. The kitchen needs some updating and the couch was a bit old/worn out. The common entry had stuff in it from the upstairs tenant, I’m assuming, but the day before we left, a large box was put against the wall right in front of the entry door to our apartment, which was kind of strange. Checkin information was not initially available. I really wanted to like it, but overall, it wasn’t great. Hopefully they will continue to make improvements to this unit so it’s more enjoyable.
