Needs some tlc. Step in bathroom dangerous

Location was great! Just what we wanted.

The creative touches to each room were lovely, spacious rooms, lovely little work space, well equipped kitchen, lovely little garden, dog-friendly, proximity to beach. Self contained parts to the upstairs room a nice touch.

Some of the dining chairs were a bit unstable, the toilet in the upstairs bedroom was a bit of a challenge if you were using it seated. Care to be taken on step to bathroom.

Lovely quirky cottage, very homely, clean and comfortable and good location not far from shops and beach. Parking is easy and very cheap in the nearby car park.

The only issue we had was with the heating and hot water not working. Many what's apps, photos and videos and two call.outs later was fixed on Saturday evening...a shame bearing in mind we had to leave on Sunday! But we'd still stay here again as sure it was a one off problem..

Slightly quirky but we loved the house for that. Lovely cottage feel - great little courtyard out back for a morning coffee. Well situated for our needs, shops, the station and the sea.

The bed in the front bedroom was very 'firm'. Others were fine. Just a warning - it didn't bother us - but there is a challenging step down into the bathroom with some unevenness. Not for the less mobile or those without good balance.

I loved this cottage. Everything about it was attractive, comfortable, convenient and appealing. Set on three floors, the space was more than adequate for several people to spread out, and the large kitchen with excellent appliances and small adjoining garden was delightful. There's a large flatscreen TV, plenty of plugs for appliances, and a desk for using your laptop. Beds are comfortable and there's also an interesting shower/bathroom setup on the top floor unlike any I've seen before. Located only five minutes walk from town and only a couple more from the seafront, Cockle Cottage is perfectly positioned for a visit to this part of the world. Best to find a spot for your car (parking is a bit of a challenge as there's limited space on this small street) and spend the time on foot.

We had some initial hiccups when we couldn't get the code to the keybox before arrival, then discovered the previous occupants hadn't moved out when we arrived (booking dates had been confused so that they overlapped). However, the owner was helpful in placing us in another location for the night and very accommodating to help us sort out the problems.

Perfect location. Very clean and tidy.

A quirky cottage full of character, plenty of space and great kitchen. Its just near the shops, a 5-minute walk to the beachfront, 10 mins to the white cliffs and coast path.

Finding a parking place is a challenge, the water pressure for the main shower is poor and the en-suite on the top floor is interesting to say the least.
