This rental has a lot of things going for it. We chose this rental in part because it is located on the ocean side of the street, meaning you don't have to cross a busy road to get to the beach. The beach is easily accessible (on foot) from the condo property. You can walk on several kilometers of beach, though occasionally you will need to wade or walk over a gravel path. The beach immediately in front of the condo property is shallow and somewhat protected by a low wall, increasing the safety for children. Part of this protected area is a safe area for turtles. We did see a large green sea turtle on a different part of the beach. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped. The wifi was fast and reliable. The bed was comfortable, but we found the pillows a little soft; when we mentioned this to the property manager, replacements were quickly provided. The unit has a nice lanai which affords beautiful views of the ocean and sunset. For even better views, it's possible to access the roof. The unit is a few minutes' drive from shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed our time at this rental, but there are a couple of things potential renters should consider. First, the unit and its furniture are a little tired and in need of a makeover. Everything was in fairly good working order, however. Second, looking to the right on the lanai you see the ocean, but looking left you see a busy road. The noise from this road is considerable - it almost completely drowns out the surf.

We had a lovely, comfortable stay in this Kihei condo complex. The views from the balcony were very nice, and we especially appreciated the rooftop patio with unobstructed panoramic views of both the mountainside and seaside. The furniture was charming and comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked, and all instructions were clear and simple. I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!

We checked in very late and Jackie was amazing at helping us get settled! There were turtles in the water out front of the condo building. This unit is at the end, so you can leave a lockable reinforced steel door open and no one walks by. There is a safe in the unit that wasn’t expected. Very easy to get to beaches on the south side.

Nothing like walking the beach and seeing turtles and seals in the morning. Cool spot.

Great location on the ocean with great views. The condo was the perfect size for our group. Jackie was a very responsive host. The break wall in front of the condo was actually perfect for our granddaughter to play in the ocean without worrying about large waves and the pool was perfect for her as well. The roof was amazing for grilling out with beautiful views and ample grills and seating. Awesome place.

The condo was cozy and family friendly. The host was great and made it feel like home with several thoughtful amenities. The kitchen was nicely stocked and they had things labeled well. It was close to restaurants and our snorkeling adventure. And only a short drive to the airport. The road out front is a little busy, but didn't deter us from our great stay.

Jackie was great, and the condo was clean and thoughtfully stocked with beach supplies. It was a bit smaller than I expected for a family of 5, but would be perfect for a group of 2 or 3.

First and foremost, Jackie is the BEST host. Super responsive and informative. When you are dragging the whole family from the east coast to the middle of the Pacific, you really appreciate that. We were two families including 4 adults and 3 children. Arguably the apartment was a little right, but we spent most of our time outside, so it didn’t bother us. The place was very clean and well equipped. Having a pool at the location was very nice as well. The added privacy of the corner apartment is amazing. No one walks by your kitchen window or doors! The location was very convenient with supermarket and restaurants a few minutes away.

We had a great experience at the condo. The location in Kihei is great, not too far from everything around the island. There is street noise but never bothered us because we were so tired from all our activities. Jackie was great communicating. Parking was always available, at times a little busy but I always found a spot. A/C and Beach accessories were very helpful and appreciated. The beach looked nice but never had time to spend time there. Sunset at the rooftop was amazing, we even had a group of seniors do a sunset Conch blow ritual. Would definitely recommend Jackie's Condo!

Our stay was great. Condo was clean and perfect size for 4 adults. Loved that it was so close to beach. Only downside is it’s close to road so lots of traffic noise where you couldn’t have the windows open and enjoy the ocean sound.

Our family of 5 (2 parents, 3 college/high school kids) really enjoyed our stay at Jackie's Menehune Shores condo. The unit is well appointed, convenient and comfortable. Our first time in this part of Maui, Kihei had about everything we needed, near to the complex. I love that this complex is on the ocean side of the busy road that runs through Kihei, many are across the street. The beach in front of the complex is sandy and swimmable, a plus when comparing to some other parts of Maui where the beach is heavy lava rock. We enjoyed many sunsets at the beach in front of our unit or from our balcony. As a family we also enjoy Makena Beach which is nearby, South of Wailea, and easily caught the snorkel cruise to Molokini from the boat harbor in Kihei. My only "con" would be that the unit is narrow. There was room enough for our grown family of 5 but I could not imagine having 7 (6 adults, 1 child) as the listing states. Jackie the Host communicated very well and was quickly responsive to any questions or concerns.

We loved our unit. We had a lovely view of the water and the condo had all of the amenities. It was exactly what was promised. The location was very quiet but very near everything you’ll need. We would definitely rent again. Thank you for sharing you condo with us.

From the moment we arrived this place felt like HOME! The view from the living room and one bedroom was just serene and beautiful! The decor is perfect! The kitchen had everything you would need for a getaway! The place was VERY CLEAN! The twin beds were very comfortable for our 2-20-year-old boys! The King bed was probably the MOST COMFORTABLE BED my husband and I ever slept in at a rental. Having 2 bathrooms was a PLUS too!!! I read some other comments about being close to the street...it wasn't bad at all! We felt like the condo was very secluded being at the end of the building... There is a restaurant on the premises and we definitely went there a few times!! Very yummy food! We would DEFINITELY go back to this very condo when traveling to Maui...highly recommend!!

Beautiful condo! Furnishings were very tasteful and also very comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen with a spacious lanai. Easy communication with owners and an all-around great condo. Highly suggest!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at this condo! It was perfect for our family of five which included 3 adult-sized teens. The condo itself was lovely, updated and fully stocked, including beach towels, beach chairs and beach umbrella. Comfy beds, a/c in every room, beautiful view, cozy lanai to enjoy morning coffee. The locale was also perfect! Close to airport, beaches to the “north” and beaches to the “south”, close to Maalaea Bay for snorkeling excursions, close enough to shopping and restaurants and yet set in a quieter, less busy location. Jackie was so friendly and quick to respond. We had a slight a/c issue one day and she had a handyman to repair it the same day, no disturbance to our stay. This place would also be ideal for families with young kids b/c it has a lovely protected beach area for swimming and playing in the sand. We HIGHLY recommend this place and will be telling all our friends and family about it too!!

Communication with homeowner was great….attentive and quick to answer concerns and questions. Even told us that property was ready early and we could check in earlier. All remodeled / redecorated. Fully stocked kitchen. Great view. Turtles in the fish pond on property were amazing. Great location to “downtown” Kihei, lots of restaurants, and Wailea.

Wonderful condo with evething you ca ask for

This was a great option for us to be able to extend our stay in Maui an extra two days and experience a different part of the island. Was more laid back than where we stayed in Lahaina/Kaanapali but still convenient with plenty of shops and food places, but also close to Wailea and Makena which are more upscale and nice to drive through or have dinner. The apartment was well stocked with everything we could need and nice appliances. The lawn and landscaping at the back of the building (beach side) are well maintained and the beach to the left is nice to walk down and very scenic, even though not the best swimming beach. We saw a sea turtle on the sand and heard if you go down during sunrise or sunset you can see several. There are several other more swimmable beach options a short drive away but we did not have time to try them.

We had a wonderful stay! Jackie was great to work with, very prompt response time and welcoming. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. The unit is on the end, which limits foot traffic outside the door. There is some road noise when you are on the balcony, but you can’t hear it at all from inside the unit. The air conditioning was lovely as well as the included beach supplies. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed this property and the owners were so sweet. I asked for recommendations for surfing lessons and they pointed us in the right direction and we got a same day appointment. The beach next door had so many sea turtles all around us. The condo was clean, updated, and very comfortable for our family if 6. I will be staying again when we return.
