This was a beautiful place to stay- right on the beach and walking distance to Manuel Antonio National Park. The staff had great communication and is very accomodating. Our room was clean and had a great view. Bonus- the restaurant on site is delicious. We would definitively stay here again!

The property was lovely and our room was perfect. Comfortable and very clean. The large balcony overlooking the ocean was perfect for morning coffee and breakfast on the beach was a real treat. The staff are amazing and went out of their way to be helpful. They went beyond what one might expected. We will not hesitate to recommend this unit.

We loved everything about this place, but especially the friendly and helpful staff and the location!! It really felt more private and way less touristy. We honestly interacted with at least 8-10 different staff members during our five night stay and they ALL were kind, courteous, and so interested in making our stay the best possible experience. We saw monkeys, iguanas, and a sloth right on the property, but none of the wildlife was a nuisance! It only added to the awesome and unique experience! The beach is pristine and the easy and quick access was like a dream! We are already trying to figure out how soon we can return to this hotel! It was just perfect!

It was an ideal spot to just roll out of bed and go to the beach. There was always a beach chair and umbrella available for me to enjoy the sand and surf. I have food limitations; the staff and chef were particularly careful when ordering and preparing my meals. The room was comfortable and having a mid-size refrigerator helped with my food needs. I would definitely recommend this place for others to stay when visiting Manuel Antonio Beach.

Absolutely wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay here. Right on the beach as described. Great office staff, Melanie helped us with a great bird tour that I hadn’t found online. Breakfast and Pina Coladas at tiki bar also good. Great deal for the price and highly recommend.

We just returned from 10 days at Buena Vista Beach Hotel. It’s hard to put the experience into words but I’ll try. This location right on the beach is so special, we felt lucky to have found it. Many people came to the beach each day from the fancier hotels up on the hill and had to pay for chairs to enjoy the beach. We felt extra special to have our chairs on the beach set up for us each day by the staff as an included amenity for staying at the hotel. Joswe and Melinda in reception made us feel like royalty and were so kind, helpful and welcoming. We loved all of the amazing bartenders and servers on the beach. A few standouts for their amazing service are Joseph, Marilee and Dennis! The location is amazing with restaurants, small grocery store and souvenir shopping within walking distance down the beach. Many more restaurants are a short taxi or bus ride away. We loved the room and the amazing balcony facing the ocean. It was a great spot to watch the torrential downpours in the evenings or to just watch the busy happenings below on the beach. Room was very clean and a comfortable home away from home while we were there. Any small problems that arose were promptly fixed by the amazing staff. Be sure to get a massage on the beach by Alexandra! Best massage I’ve ever had! Book this property! You won’t regret it! Thanks Buena Vista for welcoming us like family. The location and room and restaurant were all excellent but what really struck us was the warmth of the wonderful people who worked to make us comfortable and meet our every need! For such a young group they were all very professional and service oriented!

We had a wonderful stay. It was right on the beach. The room was clean and tidy. Close to many things to do by walking or car drive. Front staff was very nice.

My husband and I stayed for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the location. It is exactly what we wanted...very short walk to the beach. Our second floor room faced the ocean which you could see through the many trees which are kept trimmed and manicured. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast which is included is absolutely amazing and delicious. And you can even ask for a table closer to the water's edge. There is a lot of wildlife in the trees around you. We saw two different kinds of monkeys, a sloth, and a Scarlet macaw without even leaving the hotel. The only downside that we experienced was the location of our room, which is located above the restaurant kitchen and overlooking the parking lot. Beginning at 6:00 a.m. there is noise below from the kitchen and from the delivery trucks and taxis and tour vans. In the afternoon when the restaurant is making lunch, the room smells of cooking food and is very very hot due to the kitchen below and also the northwest facing window with the setting sun. There are only three top floor ocean-facing rooms. The one on the south side of the building is by far the best. During our stay the restaurant was not open for dinner, but a short walk up the road takes you to the restaurant located at the Igloo hotel which has very good food and laid back vibe. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Buena Vista, and loved the Espadilla Beach!

- Clean and comfortable room. Room came with a balcony and it was relaxing having a seat drinking included coffee/tea and watching the ocean. - Customer service was excellent A+. The receptionist gave a short tour of the property. The staff was available 24/7, very friendly and attentive - Included hot/cold breakfast. We had to leave for a tour and the staff packed the breakfast to go for us! - Security staff overnight watches over the property and your vehicle. We felt very safe. - Would've loved to stay longer. Highly recommended! Note that this is not in Manuel Antonio beach - you need ticket to the park to access that beach. This is on Espadilla Beach, which is excellent for surfing.

Everyone was super nice and helpful here. The ocean is close and Manuel Antonio is really walkable if you're the type that likes to walk. It is tough to walk along the beach if tide is high. The food was good and fruity drinks were some of the best we've ever had. We saw our first sloth napping in a tree near the water. We also saw a raccoon, squirrel monkeys, white-faced monkeys (watch out for them), and lots of colorful birds. We would absolutely recommend this place. Have fun!

We had both enjoyed our stay, the hospitality and connection made it feel amazing.

It was our fist time In Costa Rico and we loved everything about staying here. It was right on the beach and close to the rainforest. We saw sloths on the property and the monkeys came through a couple times during the week. Everyone there was so friendly and the room was very nice.

It was everything as listed and more! I requested a room with ocean view and it was absolutely stunning! Loved waking up every morning and making a cup of Costa Rican coffee and sitting on the balcony of our room looking out at the view. The free breakfast was delicious, highly recommended getting the 'Pura Vida' option with orange juice! Smoothies were delicious also. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loved that they provided beach towels and chairs on the beach for free as well. Felt safe while there the entire time. The last morning there we saw two green parrots on the tree directly in front of us while we ate breakfast!

We loved our stay here. The beach is pretty and clean. The grounds are well kept, but not fussy- so that wildlife visits are frequent. The room is very nice, appears to be new or recently renovated. The food was great. We enjoyed the complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas and beachside breakfast. The staff was OUTSTANDING! Ana greeted us, took us on a tour of the grounds, and was extremely helpful. The bartender Austin was ver helpful, efficient and personable, and our server- Marilyn (I hope I got that spellling correct) was very pleasant and efficient. The maid service was great. I felt terrible when we left, because I forgot to leave them a well deserved tip. The rest of the staff were helpful and pleasant as well. We would not hesitate to stay again. We are disappointed the room capacity is 2. We are returning in July, bringing our daughter and are disappointed we can't stay at this wonderful property again.

Everything was wonderful! We will return again for sure. Only difficulty was finding the property which was tucked away down a gravel road and not visible from the highway. Once we arrived it was worth the short search since it is right on the beach. Anna was a great host!

Our stay at Buena Vista was fantastic. Anna at reception were very helpful in getting us signed up for the Catamaran tour as well as the jungle walk in Manuel Antonio. Marlin - our waitress at the restaurant - was very attentive and made our meals there even more enjoyable. We definitely recommend this hotel.

This was my first trip to Manuel Antonio since 2019, and I wanted to truly treat myself. In the past I stayed at El Faro Hotel for views closeness to Nat Park but decided to be on the beach. BEST decision. Upon booking, Ana contacted me on WhatsApp to welcome me and made herself available to requests needed prior ( transportation, questions). The property itself is stunning. The restau/bar is in the courtyard area but a table can made for you on the beach to have an amazing view while you eat. I stayed in room facing the courtyard on the lower floor (could hear ocean all day and night). The bed was very comfortable; a fan above the bed AND AC controlled by remote, desk and chair, fridge, coffee maker w 2 coffee cups , sugar, local coffee bag, good size TV with cable, huge bathroom & shower, daily housekeeping.The restau/bar serves breakfast (7-10am incl), lunch, & dinner. Beach seating with umbrella and side table is included- non-guests pay. You are served on the beach (drinks, food). There's 2 outdoor showers by the courtyard covered in greens so privacy. And bathroom nearby. It is peaceful, the right type of vibrancy and people . I want to give props to Jorge (?) Front desk - he basically loaned me his USB-C phone charger the entire time since the ones I didn't work & closest mini mart didn't sell it. And he was great when return flight was cancelled & informing airport transportation. There was another guy whom helped, forgot his name. Everyone was so nice, helpful.

Buena Vista + was a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful location and all the staff was very nice and very helpful with everything! Lots of wildlife right where you are staying! Highly recommend, we will return again someday! Pura Vida 😊 thank you for such a great vacation!

We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay at Buena Vista. Great location on the beach to enjoy a relaxing stay in Costa Rica. Best of all the service from all the staff is outstanding!

This property was difficult to find online and I wish there was a website to verify the details and provide more information. Otherwise, the property was great. It is right on Espadilla beach and the staff were very polite, helpful, and friendly. Check in/out and communication was very easy and stress-free. We loved the breakfast and being able to reserve beach chairs through the hotel for no extra cost. The room was very clean and we appreciated the AC. One downside was the lack of places to hang towels or wet clothes. There were no hooks or bars on the walls/doors to hang anything which made it difficult to find a place to put our wet gear from the beach or our shower towels. Overall, we would definitely come back to stay again.

How wonderful to walk out of your room and onto your beachside restaurant, bar and private beach! The troop of monkeys came through every morning, and sloths slept in the canopy above our beach chair. The wait staff served you breakfast (Included) ocean-side, and the margaritas were delivered to our chairs. It was a short, glorious walk to Manuel Antonio NP along the beach. I cannot recommend this place enough if you're looking for getting the best bang for your buck.

We loved our stay at the Buena Vista Beach Hotel. All of the staff we came in contact with were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is right on the beach and close to the National Park. We highly recommend this hotel. The only drawback was the access road to the hotel. It is in need of repair. However, it would not stop me from staying there again.

My husband and I stayed here for our 30th anniversary. When we arrived, they greeted us by name, gave us a brief tour of the property, and showed us to our room. The hospitality was above and beyond and they were frequently checking in to make sure we had everything we need and that everything was to our liking. They restaurant and bar had great food and drinks. Our room was steps from the beach. One night we arrived back to our hotel after going offsite for dinner and an employee met us at the car with umbrellas because it was raining. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had the best nights sleep. We were close to a lot of activities yet the hotel still felt private. We saw monkeys, sloths, and many birds. The monkeys did not come on to the property.
