Great location and house lay out. Need to clarify what to bring and what the house has to offer. Very prompt in communicating. The listing was taken down by VRBO and that was confusing.

We enjoyed our short stay here. The beach access we walked to was right at the carolina beach / kure beach line and we like being between the two (and it had a public restroom). The layout of the rooms worked well for us and we liked the large living area. House was clean, linen & towels provided, TV & wifi worked well. Our biggest complaint was the lack of what we would consider basic kitchen items - cutting boards, baking trays, a toaster, but we got creative. Alexa speaker and laptop were available for use but we did not use them. What the kitchen lacked, the garage provided as far as beach equipment- multiple chairs, coolers, umbrellas, and a buggy to carry it all in were much appreciated. The host was available through the app, though once we checked in we didn't see a need to reach out. I'm not sure if the neighbors were residents or renters, but there was a decent amount of traffic on their side of the stairs & porch, for more privacy/quiet I'd probably use the one on the top floor. Overall, we would return! It is a block or two further from the beach than we would usually stay but no one (including the 3 year old) seemed to mind. we had a lovely dinner at salt fish (reservation recommended) our first night, and couldn't leave without a britts donut.

our stay was wonderful..excellent location and the nieghbors were nice also..they owned a bar on the beach and made sure they workers took care of us..property was easy to find and if you want you can walk or bike to the beach.. i will definitely be back

Nice place to stay close to the beach. Kitchen doesn't have much to work with as far as preparing meals for a family but we made it work. The place was clean with the exception of couple loads of linens and towels that were in the dryer. I just folded them and left them for the next guest. Maybe the house keeper forgot they were in there. The front porch fan and string lights didn't work and the patio chairs on the upper deck were all broken except for 1 of them. Other than these things the stay was nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family birthdays and Father’s Day celebrations. The house was great and the property manager communicated immediately and was very helpful. We hope to return.

This was a lovely place and was walking distance to the beach. Nice colors on the walls, comfy beds, powerful HVAC system. The check in process was a bit challenging because I needed to reach out to the person managing the property several times to know how to get inside when that is something that should be sent along before the checkin day/time. Once I was finally given the code after some back and forth, discovered the door wasn’t even locked. The bath towels are mostly old/stained/mismatched and kind of tossed in the linen closets in a messy way that looked like they weren’t for guests, with only two hand towels and once washcloth in the whole entire place. Also missing were the iPad and laptop mentioned in the ad, so if anyone is expecting them, which is an unusual amenity…they weren’t there. And there was no toaster or any kind of pan to be able to bake a pizza or other things in the oven. So some of our meal plans for waffles, bagels, pizza - didn’t come to pass. The communication was not great with the person managing it. I had trouble getting answers to questions like: where might the toaster be? The place has clearly been put together well with attention to details that make it very nice and comfortable, so it was a nice stay in general. Just want to also share it had its challenges. The front porch was lovely but we couldn’t really use it since the neighbors that seem to live in the same building (it’s a duplex) are much of the time out there smoking on their porch which is right up against this one. I hate to complain but want to be honest about it - the good parts and the not so great parts.

The listing was better than shown in the pictures. My friends were impressed with how comfortable the place was. Great location & nice neighbor too. The listing contact was very responsive. Walk to the beach and a short ride to coffee shops restaurants and the boardwalk. The place even has a useable garage that can fit two cars. It does not have a view of the ocean, but if that is what you want, go ahead and pay for it somewhere else. We did not need that and thought the price was really good for being as close to the beach as this place is. I always rely on reading reviews and this place appeared to be too new of a listing with no reviews yet, and I went for it anyways. Best decision I made in the last 2 months :) Just be aware if you are a night owl, bring your goodies, because nothing in Carolina Beach (the “island”) appeared to be open 24/7.

I loved the location it is about 5 blocks from the beach but it’s not long. I loved that me and my family had a great time!

Amazing stay

This place was clean and pretty. There are two separate decks which made the mornings calm and amazing. It’s located just a minute from the beach and a few minutes from our favorite restaurants. Michaels Seafood and Oceanview Breakfast are the best! If you want an amazing place to buy swimsuits or souvenirs is “palms.” The response time of the property owner was great too!
