Absolutely beautiful property with awesome amenities. Yard was perfect for outdoor games and every living space was big enough to fit the whole family

Highly recommend this gem of a property. It was a magical week with the entire family. Secluded but accessible to all your needs. Priceless memories were created.

We celebrated my mom’s 80th birthday at this property and it was perfect for all age ranges. There’s enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to have their own space. The house was CLEAN, and the ease and comforts of the place made it enjoyable for all. Kitchen has enough for those of us who wanted to cook. We used the pool, hot tub, kayaks, paddle boat , golf cart, and of course — the amazing game room. It’s also a good jumping off spot for visits to Hudson, Rhinebeck, Olana, and more. Would highly recommend and we are already talking about going back.

This is a wonderful property for getting folks together and not having to negotiate who is staying in what room together. The indoor pool and coverage from the decks meant I really didn't have to worry if we'd have to hang out in bad weather. A bunch to do both indoors and inside for all ages!

We were here for a tournament and this place and experience brought us all together to feel like one big family. We came from several states across the US and it felt just like home! Thanks for everything!

Hosts were super responsive and thorough. The land was stunning and was the perfect getaway for a quiet respite.

Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were great! The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything needed to cook all of our meals including Thanksgiving - love the two ovens and fridges, given how many people it accommodates. The bathrooms are a little dated but everything was clean and well-appointed. We loved the trails and our teens spent hours playing air hockey and ping pong. I expect it would be even more enjoyable in winter!

The pictures didn't do the house justice. It was beautiful and fully stocked. The property was great, it offered something for everyone in our party.

Our group of Bard College Alumni have been gathering at Jack's Place (formerly Family Compound) in Elizaville, NY since October 1017. We had 10 people this year but have had as many as 20 in past years. The house had to have been built with family gatherings in mind with private for couples and bunk rooms for kids (or in our case, adult singles) and a double kitchen. This year there is new owner/management and they have made some significant upgrades as well as being local , so more easily contacted. All in all, Jack's Place is the best place you could have for family reunion.

It was wonderful!

We spent a week in August for our family reunion of 10 (age 8 to 75). We all had an amazing time, couldn't decide which was more fun--swimming, kayaks, fishing on the pond, the new hot tub, our pool and ping pong tournaments or the golf cart, an amazing hit. Having seven bathrooms was so luxurious. Nicole, the hostess, was friendly and super responsive, no matter how minor the detail. She truly wants this experience to be wonderful.

Our family vacation at Jack's Place was enjoyable in every way! This clean and comfortable house allowed our family of 13 members (4 families ) ample space for individual bedrooms and private bathrooms. The combined area of the well outfitted kitchen, very large dining table, and family room provided plenty of space for the kids to play and for all of us to enjoy each other's company. The outside grill and the new stove were perfect for cooking family meals. The large laundry room got plenty of use throughout the week. There were plenty of towels, etc. There is so much to do here, inside and out! We made full use of the pool, and the pool table and air hockey. The whole family enjoyed the pond. Great kayaking and fishing! We explored the trails on the golf cart and we went on a nature hike with all the grandchildren. Thank you Nicole and Todd for the sprinkler for the kids! The surrounding towns were fun to explore - Hudson, Red Hook and Rhinebeck. Dinner at Gigi's was a treat. Nicole and Todd responded right away to any questions we had. They are lovely people and great hosts! Thank you for a great vacation! Carol & Tom

Bucolic grounds, wonderful house!

Amazing home with everything you need to entertain a group. Beautiful land and excellent communication with the host. Stayed with a group of 12 people and more than enough sleeping space. Couldn’t have had a better time. Will definitely be looking to return throughout the seasons.

This was the first time that we traveled to this part of the country, and it was a different geography for the group. This property is amazing.Large, clean, beautiful soroundings, it had everything we needed and more to make everyone fill comfortable from the little ones to the Grandparents. Then, the owners of the house are extremely attentive and receptive, a message was always followed by a print response and were helpful in solving the problem(which were most of the time minor). All and all a Great place for a Family Vacation,managed by Great Hosts.

Our three-generation family of 12 had a marvelous time at Jack’s Place. This is our third time at this property, and the new owners have made significant improvements. While the lodge retains its rustic, laid-back charm, the entire place felt brighter and fresher from the moment we entered and found a new welcome bench and rug. The big, open space of the main room provided ample space for the kids to play, and the long table easily seated all of us. The kids particularly enjoyed the air hockey table downstairs. We appreciated the newly outfitted kitchen with the new stovetop and refrigerators. Best of all were the four new kayaks. It was such a pleasure to paddle around the lake looking for frogs and turtles. We walked the loop path through the woods and played soccer on the lawn by the lake. During our 3-day stay, the only drawback was the pool, which had an unusual tinge when we arrived. Once we reported it, the owners came within an hour to address the issue. They were easy to reach and super attentive, even providing fishing poles when I asked so the children could fish off the dock. Little things matter, like the gate at the top of the steps that made it safe for the one-year-old to crawl around, the block of sharp new knives, and the ticking of the cool old clock above the mantel. Jack’s Place had just what we needed for our family fun and traditions. Highly recommend!

We are five families with nine adults and six teenagers and we decided to rent this house for the Memorial Day weekend. This is a large house on an incredible 56 acres complete with a pond, manicured lawn, and a resident goose! We had several coffee makers to choose from and all of the pots, pans, dishes, space, and beds we could ask for. Todd and Nicole were very communicative and helpful when the power went out (due to a terrible storm and completely beyond anyone's control), even coming to the property to make sure we were okay and helping re-wire the back-up generator so we had WiFi access. The large grill was great for our cookout, and the two refrigerators and two ovens came in handy! Heat/AC is zoned so that different folks could all be comfortable. We had fun with the air hockey, pool, and ping pong tables! Thank you so much, Nicole and Todd, for a wonderful stay in your home! We had a great time!

This house was amazing for all of our friends to stay at under one roof. We had so much space to entertain, all the furniture and beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Hopefully we get a chance to return!
