I’d definitely stay here again. We had apartment 5 which had a great view of the mountains from the living room. the hosts were responsive when we messaged them with any questions. Kitchen is well equipped with hobs, microwave, lots of plates, pots, pans and enough utensils to cook basic meals, saved us some money on meals out every night. it’s modern looking, clean and the lounge area was nice and comfortable to sit and relax after a day hiking.

Hot water tank is so small, barely allows 2 short showers before going cold but not a huge problem for two people staying there (just be careful not to stay in the shower for too long).

Nice location in the mountains of Gran Canaria. The bed was very comfortable!

I was disappointed to get the only room without a view that has only windows to the staircase where everyone walks through.

Very good facilities. Flat owner was also very helpful. Tejeda is beautiful village. Build environment is beautiful and nature around Tejeda is amazing. Beautiful hiking routes, like route to Roque Nublo. More modest hiking route, from Tejeda to Cruz de Tejeda starts less than 100m from house.

Last night of my stay there was some weird banging noise every now and then. Disrupted my sleep a bit. I suspected that high wind blow caused that noise. All in all this place was positive surprise.

First of all, if you don’t have a room with a view, you will have to keep the blinds closed because the view is in the common area. So no natural light at all. Second, they have a problem with the heating. It’s done exclusively by AC and doesn’t work all the time. The day we arrived there were 9 degrees Celsius outside and inside maybe 17. We were freezing and the only solution given was an extra blanket. The second night the AC worked for almost 2 hours, but wasn’t enought to heat the room. Again, we were freezing. Last day they brouht a small radiator that helped a bit. So my fiancee caught a cold and it was really bad. Also, there s a problem with hot water, it doesn’t last long so keep that in mind. At 9 am-09.30, you shoud expect drill noise and worker’s tools. The cleaning could be better as there was a lot of dust in the bathroom and on the shelves. On top of that I didn’t have the experience I hoped to have on my Bday but it could have been worse.

Calma suites was overbooked and we were moved to El Fraile. Cottage location was super central, very nice terraces but otherwise very basic.

El Fraile was old cottage, charming, but all interiors old and kitchen utensils very basic and old. During evenings there was bit cold, heating did not help enough.

The apartment location is amazing, right in the centre of Tejeda. Perfect for exploring the mountain area. The apartment was spotlessly clean. The facilities were great, fridge/freezer, hob top, kettle, toaster and microwave. The host and handyman were very easy to contact and very helpful. I would definitely recommend Calma Suites and would stay here again. 10/10 all round!

The apartment is very cosy, clean and has all the necessary amenities. We stayed in no 4 which has a nice terrace with an incredibile view of Tejeda. We enjoyed our stay even if we mostly only sleep at night there. Highly recommended!

Spotless, beautifully equipped modern studios in the mountain village of Tejeda - everything is brand new. Kitchen has everything you could need, shower is powerful and bed comfortable. There are about 10 units in the building, which is a few minutes walk from the main street in Tejeda. Free parking outside, stunning mountain views. Keys were left in a keybox, with very good liaison via SMS and WhatsApp from the hosts. Recommended.
