We had a great time! Wendy was great to deal with, and the house was perfect for us. It was steps away from the beach, and the whole island was beautiful! I would definitely recommend.

By all accounts our week staying at "Back to the Beach"met or exceeded all expectations. The home was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully accessorized. There were numerous extras available for use including beach chairs + equipment, beach towels, bicycles, and the house was stocked with many games. Our host, Wendy was available throughout the planning process and during our stay to assist us with our questions and needs. The location is wonderful. Just a very short walk to a fantastic beach. For the end of December we had some very good "beach" days. We had some wonderful beach walks and bike rides during the week. Our granddaughter enjoyed playing in the sand and collecting shells. This was our first visit to St. George Island. We met many people who are regular visitors and we all agreed that we would like to return. We enjoyed everything about the island including the shops, the restaurants, and visiting the lighthouse. This was a great family holiday getaway!

Grandkids had a school holiday and had never been to the island. We really enjoyed our whole trip. Loved the location to the beach. Loved the Plantation.

Our family had a great stay! We loved the spacious living area, privacy and proximity to the beach. The home was well stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our vacation. We hope to stay here again.

Our family absolutely loved this home!! It was so unique! Huge open kitchen and TV room with windows all around the entire room and beautiful views of the ocean. It also had two master bedrooms with king size beds and private bathrooms. The third bedroom had awesome full size bunk beds. Also, TV’s in every room! Our kids brought their X-box and PlayStation. We did not need to bring or purchase anything while on vacation. The kitchen had everything we needed. We thought from looking at the pictures that we would have to cross a road to get to the beach. Nope! You walk down the driveway, turn left and the walkway to the ocean is right there! There were tons of beach towels and tons of beach gear. Beach cart, great beach chairs, 2 huge paddle boards, boogie boards, and beach bikes. My favorite part of this awesome home was the owner, Wendy. She had the sweetest gifts waiting on the table when we arrived. If we needed anything or had any questions at all, she responded right away. She is very kind! We would definitely stay here again!

From the location, to professionalism to absolutely friendliness of the host Wendy, this was a win. Most importantly, it's a very simple walk to a beautiful, peaceful beach. The house had every item we could have needed, from beach gear, family entertainment and a fully stocked kitchen with quality equipment. The value, location, beach and house were great. The wide open middle area with dining room table and kitchen counter gave the house lots of 'life' as we gathered and cooked. A wall of windows with some ocean view made even an occasional rainy day enjoyable. Now to the 'feels'. It was my son's 6th birthday and Wendy had balloons with a banner in place in addition to a few 'unexpected' touches. She was so thoughtful from the booking through our departure. An absolutely wonderful host with all of the amenities in a clean, lovely 'home'. There was so much beach equipment we questioned driving 11 hours verses flying. Anything Wendy didn't have we could have rented, but chairs, umbrellas, bikes and more were all easily accessible below the house. So, our 2 families with 9,7 and 6 year olds had a fantastic time and I highly recommend this place. Written after an 11 hour overnight ride, but I wanted to provide my appreciation for a great host. We had the best week at Back to the Beach! The views from the house are magnificent out of all the windows in the den area! All of beach equipment and bikes were a definite plus! We also enjoyed cooking meals in the stocked kitchen. We would love to stay here again!

Location was great. So close to the beach. Wish the weather had cooperated better but we still had a good time and made the best of the situation. Property was very clean and had everything we needed. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with through the whole process.

Wendy was incredibly responsive and courteous. The beach is beautiful and peaceful. The house is spacious and is an easy place to relax.

My wife and two kids visited this property for a week. This a perfect beach vacation property for a family. The home was even better than described in the listing. There were several beach toys for the kids and even bikes to use. My kids absolutely loved the bunk beds and all the board games! The most impressive part to me was the owners responsiveness and helpfulness. I have rented several properties on VRBO and this was hands down the best owner I have experienced. If anyone is deciding between some different rentals I can not recommend this rental enough!!!!

The house was well-equipped, clean and had plenty of room. We loved the peaceful setting of the house surrounded by trees. The short walk to the beach was easy. Wendy, the owner, went above and beyond to make everything easy. It was a great vacation for our family.

We had a great time and would happily return. The house is in a great spot, close to the beach boardwalk. Very quiet area and spacious / comfortable home. Having access to bikes, boogie boards, beach toys, etc made it all so easy with kids. Loved it.

Great overall experience in a awesome location…short distance to beach with exceptional privacy on lot with many trees & plants…large family room that is full of light during the day…location within The Plantation is a huge plus…will definitely stay here again if we vacation in this area in the future!

This beach house was even better than the photos! And that says a lot because the photos are great! The property is huge (1 acre) and it’s beautiful. Full of palm trees and creeks. In the house you felt like you were in a tree house with great views and privacy at the same time. The walk to the beach was easy and everything you need was provided for a fun beach day. Bike riding through the plantation was one of our favorite daily activities. The land is flat so my 10 year old son could easily ride 7 + miles. I cooked thanksgiving dinner and had everything I needed in the fully equipped kitchen. The property manager , who is also the home owner, really cares about making your stay perfect. She went above and beyond anyone I’ve ever rented with before . We look forward to our next trip “Back to the Beach”!

We had such a wonderful and relaxing time at Back to the Beach. The property is private with beach access across the street. The home is comfortable and clean with beautiful views of the beach from every angle. The home is well stocked with everything you will need on and off the beach. And to top it all off, Wendy is the most amazing host we’ve ever encountered on VRBO. She is so thoughtful and communicated every step of the way. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

Great beach house and great location. Feels like you are on a tropical island in the Caribbean. Wendy is the best hostess and went above and beyond any experience I have ever had with VRBO/rentals. Her hospitality and thoughtfulness made the trip extra special.

Wendy is sweetest and nicest host you can have. She was very helpful and understanding with everything. House is impeccable, and views from it are stunning. Beach was nice and clean. The grain of sand is super fine, and water was warm and turquoise.

Wendy is an amazing host! She promptly answers any and all questions you may have. You can truly tell how much she genuinely cares! This home feels like a comfy tree fort nestled on it's own private sanctuary but still a stone's throw from the beach. The views and the breeze from the decks were wonderful. I cannot say enough about the property to give it 5 stars seems unfair because it deserves way more! The proper is clean beau and very convenient with amazing view! The owner was so nice and prompt with responses to any questions we had. There’s were zero issues while we were there! We want to make this place a tradition for our family vacations!

Wendy is the absolute BEST!!! The house and land is amazing! We didn’t have to buy any beach items (paddle board, chairs, toys or other boards) everything was included! We even got to play any board game we wanted bc they had soooo many options for those lazy beach days after a day in the sun…It was a perfect getaway! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Back to the a Beach! The proximity to the beach could only get better by about 50 feet and the house and grounds are stunning! We had had the best time enjoying the spacious, clean and bright house as well as the property itself which was full of paths and private areas for exploring and relaxing. The walk to the beach was quick and easy and the beach gear provided by the owners was everything we needed. After 10-plus years of vacationing in the Plantation on SGI, this is one of our most favorite places and we will gladly book again next year!

We had a wonderful week staying in this home. It is an open floor plan and there are ocean views from every room. And what a great location….steps away from the short boardwalk to the beach! There is everything you could possibly need at this house. Kitchen is stocked, beach chairs, comfortable beds…even tons of games for a rainy day. All the comforts of home at the beach! We look forward to renting this great house again.
