The home itself is ADORABLE. It has so much to offer/places to sleep and it easily accommodated our big party. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (6, 3, 2 & 1). It was even nice to have available high chair and pack and play for all the littles! I will say the busy street it is on and the cement floor in the living room made for some high stakes little kid play but we still LOVED this home and would book it again if we needed that much space. Beds are comfy, home is very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with spices and SHARP KNIVES! (which in a rental is next to impossible haha). This is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway for adults or adults with kids.

More than enough room for family of 5 with all the comforts of home. Great location with short drive to anything you'd want to experience around Asheville. Would stay again.

Excellent property for our purposes. Very easy access to the fenced backyard for the pets. The property is an interesting mix of old and new. The addition to an existing older cape cod style home was done very well. Placed just outside of the busy business corridors it felt like we were in the country. Five minutes to the grocery store and easy access to Asheville and Hendersonville. The owners were always responsive. We had a small change in our schedule and they accommodated it well.

The owner made the booking/check in process so easy! The house is located about 5-10 minutes from a great brewery. With traffic the Map put the Biltmore 40 minutes from the house. The house is secluded and private which is a plus for us since we brought our pup along. The attention to detail was such an awesome plus. The owners provide soap, shampoo, hand soap, spices, coffee, creamer, filters, coffee beans with a grinder, dog toys, dog bowls, etc. the furnishings were so nice with the throw pillows and blankets. Wow! They thought of everything to make our stay special. Our king size bed upstairs was SO comfy. The curtains filter out the light so it was perfect for our sleeping baby. I did miss in the listing that they do not have central heat and air but once we figured out the heat units and fireplace it kept our place so warm. The ONLY thing I would have to suggest is curtains on the doors and windows that face the owners apartment. It was a bit eerie at night with the lights on knowing people could see into the house. We frequent the area often to antique shop and we will be staying again!

Three generations and one dog had the most amazing stay at this VRBO. Even my nine year old daughter kept saying what a nice place it was even after we’d gotten home. The VRBO is perfectly appointed with guests in mind. The house was super clean, the beds were very comfortable, the cooling/heating units were easy to use, and the kitchen was stocked. We LOVED that they had a Christmas tree and some decor to keep our Christmas spirit up even while away from home. Welcome and exit instructions were easy to follow and thorough. Host was extremely communicative. We can’t wait to stay here again!

We are from Raleigh, NC and met halfway with friends from Nashville, TN…this was the perfect halfway point! We enjoyed the cozy, clean house very much. We had two toddlers with us, and the only thing I would recommend is to bring a baby gate for the stairs. Contacting the host was effortless, and the the checkout process was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice experience and comfortable house. Owner prompt communication great. Had plenty of items in house and good coffee on hand with a coffee bar. Only issue for me was super hard mattress but my wife liked since she had bad hip.

This cozy, comfortable home has all the amenities you would ever want. Everything is new, clean and tidy. Kitchen is well equipped with sharp knives, a wide array of spices, and a coffee bar with both Kerig and drip brew, beans and grinder. The beds are firm yet comfortable. The living room is cozy with overstuffed couches to curl up on to watch flat screen TV. Very dog friendly...toys, food and water bowls, toys, leash...but best of all fully fenced back yard. Wonderful place.

We were in the area for a wedding and really enjoyed the style, cleanliness and location of this place! Will definitely be back!

Mills River Retreat had a very homey and cozy feel the minute we walked in the door. It was a very nice combination of rustic and modern. The furniture and beds were all very comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and a nice fenced in yard for our dog. Great location.

Came to town for a baseball tournament. Shared this house with another family. It was perfect for us. The owners were great, responded to all questions quickly and clearly. Check in was a breeze and check out was simple and very renter friendly. Would 100% recommend.

This house is so cute, very clean and had everything we needed! It’s minutes from Sierra Nevada and the grocery store which is also a plus. We can’t wait to stay here again!

This place was PERFECT for my siblings and I to stay all together for our youngest brothers wedding. The layout and coziness was just what we needed to visit for the first time in a long time and to get ready. Heather is SUPER accommodating and was helpful with local recommendations on places to eat. The kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed to cook, bedrooms and bathrooms were tidy and comfortable. My brother and sister brought their dogs — it’s very dog friendly and everyone had a great time. STAY HERE!

Extremely convenient location, you can branch out to all the surrounding towns in minutes. The hosts were great to deal with, great communication!

This was the perfect place to escape for a few days and enjoy nature and some beautiful hikes. There is plenty to do in the area and you’re a short drive into Asheville if you want to explore there as well. The home was clean and just as advertised. The home had everything we needed and then some. Our dog loved the area! Being able to bring him was a huge plus. We will be back for sure!

Spacious, well stocked kitchen utensils and items for cooking and cleaning up, well stocked with paper towels and toilet tissue. Wonderful coffee bar area. If possible, do not shut the bathroom door upstairs while taking a shower. There is a beautiful view out the window, if you are able to leave the door open. Lovely field out back, full of fireflies. Nice outdoor space for sitting and nice spot to hang an eno. Wifi worked perfectly. Very nice Ingles grocery store minutes away. Only way to improve it would be a charcoal grill. It was a wonderful stay. We would love to return.

We picked up my 14 year old from camp and spent some time in the area. The house was perfect! We all loved it! Easy to get to Asheville and all the outdoor activities nearby. The host gave excellent recommendations about food and activities. The house really was as advertised. So charming and comfortable after a long day out hiking. Everyone said we should come back again. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it!

The beds were all comfortable and the way the climate control is setup works wonderfully. The sounds of nature as you sit on the front or (especially) the back porch is very relaxing.
