Perfect home base for a two-family vacay. Four teenage boys and two moms and we never felt crowded. Easy drive to the Dells, Devil’s Lake, and Baraboo. Beautiful views of Lake WI from the deck and a quick walk to fishing at Memorial park and ice cream at the ferry crossing. The house was very clean, stocked with basics, and communication with the owner was so easy. Highly recommend!

We have been to many rental properties. This by far was the cleanest we have ever been to. The space was comfortable and simple to make it feel cozy. Location made it convenient to all the attraction around. We would definitely stay again!

Everything about this house was perfect! My fiance and I along with our kids had the best family getaway ever. The house is in a perfect location with everything you need for a great time no more than 20 mins away. My fiancee loved it so much she wants to return for our honeymoon minus the kids so we can really enjoy the lake and everything the community has to offer. I will definitely be returning for a second stay! 10 stars!

We stayed there for 2 nights with our 2 kids and it was perfect. They got to share a queen sized bed and the beds were pretty comfortable! The owner let us know before checking in that there was an issue with the furnace and it was fixed very quickly before we even got there! It was so clean and well maintained. The neighborhood was quiet. The road its on seemed alittle busy, but you'd never notice it or hear it from inside the house. We will definitely be renting it again in the future!

Perfect house for our weekend ski trip to Devils Head. Check in was easy, had to call Justin cuz we messed up the door lock process, he was great. 5 minutes to the slopes, super clean and had everything we needed, plus a great view! We will definitely be coming back!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the property. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and close location to Devil’s head made for a perfect family ski vacation ! We would definitely stay here again !

Wonderful place to stay for visiting Devil's Lake and a the great nearby things. Right near the car ferry to cross Lake Wisconsin! Owner was quick to respond, the place was immaculate and very comfortable. We were sad to leave today!

Everything was very well communicated, beautiful property with everything we needed. You can tell everything is new and we enjoyed reading the list of activities. We took the Ferry over to hike the rock and had a wonderful time. Views are so beautiful. Would for sure come here again to do more hikes. Thank you for the beautiful property!!

New and clean, comfy beds, great location, quiet, can see the lake, which was nice. Not a big deal, but adding dishrags (rather than sponge) would be great, as well as am ottoman for the big, comfy chair.

Very clean, modern unit. Great location. Go to H's Pizza for sure (west end of Merrimac). We went hiking around Devil's Lake, starting at South Shore. Loved it!

Wonderful Home
I’ve stayed at multiple VRBO properties and this home was near the top of my list. The town of Merrimac was charming, the house was even prettier than the pictures, and it was spotlessly clean. Loved the view of the river from the front deck! There was a lot to do in the area. I recommend crossing the river on the free ferry and doing the Gibraltar Rock hike. Also, the Parfrey’s Glenn hike was very pretty and located a short drive north of Merrimac. We had a fun dinner at Balanced Rock Winery (just 10-15 minutes north of the home) and the wine, food, and live entertainment was great. There were 4 adults in our group and we all agreed it was a great weekend!

Great newly remodeled home!
The house has a great floor plan and most of the comforts of home with a lovely view of Lake Wisconsin. The property manager forgot to provide us with the code to get in but this was remedied with a quick phone call. The wifi worked great and we enjoyed Sling TV. The bedroom even had lamps with USB ports. We had plenty of room to put our things and lots of hooks for wet things.
The bed and pillow weren't as comfy as I'd like but I am a bit like the princess in The Princess and the Pea. No one else complained about it. The only thing that wasn't provided that I missed was a baking pan, since I planned to throw together a quick and easy casserole that would have been dinner for a couple of nights.
Overall this place was fantastic.
FYI, if you plan to eat at Fish Tales make sure you make a reservation.

Perfect weekend stay
So nice, clean, and comfortable! Perfect for a home spot during a weekend of touring the area. Easy check-in, check-out, everything we needed! We ate at the Varsity Club and Candy's and enjoyed both. Sadly, the ferry was not running this AM when we hoped to check that out, but we will be back for sure.

Merrimac is a quiet community close to many outdoor activities and convenient to Baraboo, Devil's Lake and surrounding area. Communication with hosts was quick and efficient. They were very happy to provide local suggestions as needed. The house itself is impeccably clean (recently completely remodeled I believe) and extremely well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves even wine glasses to enjoy a drink on their peaceful patio. The beds were very comfortable with fresh new linens. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area. Highly recommend.

Merrimac is a quiet community close to many outdoor activities and convenient to Baraboo, Devil's Lake and surrounding area. Communication with hosts was quick and efficient. They were very happy to provide local suggestions as needed. The house itself is impeccably clean (recently completely remodeled I believe) and extremely well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves even wine glasses to enjoy a drink on their peaceful patio. The beds were very comfortable with fresh new linens. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area. Highly recommend.
