Very convenient access and spacious property

Clean but very dated. A/c wall unit, would not stay on or keep the room cool enough for sleeping.

Clean and comfortable. Water had an odd taste but that could be rectified with filters. When we checked out the clerk said she could not print out a receipt because it was through Hotels.com; however, other hotels we booked through that website could print out receipts.No biggie.

The hotel is outside of Sonora downtown, so there is nothing around. The building looks outdated and the room was dark and old but bathroom was updated. We arrived about an hour early, so the hotel would have charged extra for early check in. Breakfast was ok with many options.

-Room was clean but under construction. -Breakfast was good with several options ( 2 types of eggs, 2 types of meat, fresh fruit, yogurt, pancakes, breakfast cereal, several drink options and breakfast staff was very kind and helpful. -Area clean. -Checking in was a bit rough which can set the tone for the stay. The guests in front of us were greeted and the staff member had a long conversation with them. I stepped up and received attitude from start to finish and never understood why.

I booked this room based on the reviews, ratings, and pictures and had to double check we were at the right place because I was surprised by how rundown the hotel was when we arrived. The room looked nothing like the pictures online. It was an average hotel with average comfort and in need of some upkeep and repair. It was fine for one night, but I was expecting so much more for the price we paid (similar ratings/pricing had us staying in nice Marriotts and the like the rest of our trip). The breakfast was fantastic with a full buffet of options, so that was the saving grace. Best Westerns are individually owned and this one felt like the owner expected guests to "work for their stay"-- tip the cleaner, fill out a service room repair report, give your full life history/info at check in, bring your voucher to the breakfast, etc. It just didn't feel as professional and easy as staying at other main hotel chains. The hotel was within easy access of the town/restaurants/grocery store and had a fridge and mic in the room. They did put us in an upper room as requested, which we appreciated. We stayed here on our way out of Yosemite National Park.

Pleasant experience

Nice area, convenient to where we were spending a few days. Good restaurants nearby. Disappointed that you had to request service, and no on-site laundry facilities. Free hot breakfast was excellent.

Nice place with good spacious rooms

Room was nice and clean, staff was very friendly checking in.

The facilities were neglected, carpet was dirty and needed to be cleaned. The hallway smelled of intense cigarette smoke. One of the ladies in the restaurant area with bad attitude and little patience to answer questions. Price expensive for the quality of the hotel.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Best Western in Sonora! A lovely room and a very comfortable bed. Very helpful and friendly staff. And we appreciated be able to bring our dog.

I have stayed at this property several times. It is my favorite place to stay when visiting my Mom in Jamestown. However I have found the property to be very loud. The refrigerator is extremely loud and noises do keep me up at night. Aside from that, it's great.

Amazing customer service last minute trip perfect area quiet.

We had my husband in surgery overnight and we’re from out of town. It was quiet and clean and we had access to most of what you could need. Staff are very friendly up front and at the breakfast cafe. Our wing was under construction. There could’ve been better security for doors into the building and many areas were very dark. Overall it’s what you need.

Nice, clean, quiet and convenient place to stay.

Stayed for one night and it’s fine for one night. Room is basic but clean. Free coffee machine and tea at front desk and basic breakfast for free too. It’s a motel style room next to the freeway.
