Fabulous boutique hotel. Very clean and pretty with friendly staff. Great experience!

The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. They seemed to genuinely care about our comfort. My husband is handicapped and they were extra attentive to his needs. I’m not fond of the redecoration of the interior but it’s still a lovely place.

Derrick, an amazing piano player and singer, serenaded us in the bar. He is there Thursday and Friday evenings and well worth a visit. The bartender was great also. Exceptionally kind service.

Very very convenient to the rest of Old Town. Everything within walking distance from the hotel. Underground parking was great. The rooms were "spartan", but we like that as we did not stay in the room for very long. Bed was very comfortable. We expected to see a little more in the lobby area that told us about the history of the house ...but nothing that we saw connected us to the house's past.

From the moment I approached the hotel I felt like a very special, welcome guest. My luggage was carried up the steps to the lobby. I asked the concierge if I may leave my bags until check-in; instead, Eskodar offered an immediate check-in and a room with a view! That set the tone for a wonderful, 2-day stay. The hotel restaurant is lovely, service exemplary, creative menu with a South American flair. Small bar has live entertainment, there's a casual lounge off the lobby. Location is ideal: walk to museums, shops, cafes, or hop the free, King St. trolley or circulator bus.

We loved the location. 10 minutes to airport and walking distance to all Old town offers Staff very helpful. Beds super Comfortable. Spacious room.

Not real helpful at check-in. Getting our bags to the floor was cumbersome. We had to ask many questions about the facility that normally get as routine check in from other hotels.

Quiet location. Around the corner from King Street where all of the restaurants/stores located including free King St. Trolley

Booking was difficult. I was in Paris trying to get a room for the evening of my return. I was told that my credit cards (3) did not work although they had been fine for multiple transactions in France. I was put on long holds and then the agent tried to book me in other properties. $4 bottles of water when the price was not clearly shown was over the top. The so called "breakfast" was inadequate and way over priced.

Front desk staff is your first contact with hotel and they need to inform guests of Wi-Fi , food & beverage offerings and local options for meals and dining in the in town location

It was perfectly located for my needs. Smaller facility some staff was able to pay attention to details and give excellent service.

We enjoyed the location, right in the thick of things, yet, off the main drag. It was a lovely hotel, nice furnishings and comfortable. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Excellent: Location, location, location! Morrison House is perfectly located just off King Street near small boutiques and restaurants. It is a comfortable walk from the Alexandria Amtrak Station and the waterfront. Excellent: The Staff! On our 3 night stay we had contact with numerous desk attendants and 1 housekeeper. Everyone was helpful and courteous! Excellent: Room size was large for a small hotel and extremely clean upon arrival. Good: The beautiful exterior of the building. The common room with gas fireplace. The unadvertised wine hour daily from5-6pm. The beautifully appointed rooms! Bad: I missed the small print that the rooms would not be serviced during multi-night stays. Eating breakfast in our room was lovely but the trash and crumbs that built up over 3 days is inviting rodents and insects. Ugly: Today I went to the website and copied this: “Our restaurant features a seasonal menu of small plates expertly paired with masterfully created cocktails, as well as live entertainment. With three elegant event spaces, we can host professional and social gatherings that are sure to impress.” I also went to hotels.com and viewed the very pictures that convinced me to pay a higher price to stay at the Morrison House. I was looking at another hotel on the waterfront and noticed that their restaurant was closed. I called and asked about it and received a run around, so booked the Morrison House. Guess what! No restaurant, no bar! Because it was before

This is our all time favorite place to stay. It’s small, warm and comfortable. The staff is great. We have gotten to know them over the years and they are like family. Can’t say enough good things about it.

The staff were overly accommodating. The living room with fire place was so cozy. Beautiful bar and steps from everything on king street. Valet parking and to go breakfast. Coffee service and complimentary wine hour at 5 pm. Cozy comfy beds, clean and enjoyable. We'll be back.

The location is excellent and the property is charming. Room is clean and comfortable. We chose the ground floor because it has no carpet, but its actually 1/2 underground and window is small, not a lot of light. The housekeeping was noisy. Breakfast is grab-n-go and no vegan options. Late at night there was no staff to open door and card key didn’t work.

Our stay at The Morrison was incredible and the staff was 100% the reason. Mikayla and Monique were absolutely fantastic and made us feel like family. Our house had flooded so we had to stay here for a week and these ladies made the situation so much better. Sam was also great and super attentive and helpful. We will 100% be returning.

The property manager, Sam, was extremely helpful, friendly, and always checking on the needs of the guests throughout their stay.
