Was very disappointed and surprised there was a $30 parking fee for ovenight stay.

A relatively modern convention center venue. Hardly posh, but certainly meets most needs. A cooperative and convenient site for weddings. Easy freeway access and some basic shopping nearby. Some rooms with a charming lake view. Staff helpful, but apparently no valet for luggage or parking, Nyet swimming pool. Lobby area with adequate seating and tables/workstation surfaces, coffee/tea/ H2O infusion. Open-style minimalist lobby bar with several large screen TV's. Rooms slightly smallish, but comfortable; ridiculously small closet, essentially filled by a half-dozed items. Area very secure. Five minute drive to Depot Town area. Bride and Groom were pleased by lake overlook for pic's--

We have been coming to the Marriott at Eagle crest for over 20 years. We come to the area for Michigan Homecoming watch year. This year we were shocked upon arrival that there were gates around the football field sized parking lot and we were charged $30 per night to park. The property is nowhere near anything where parking is at a premium. We felt they were gouging us! Friends joined us for a drink after the game and we drove them across the way to a shopping center so that they would have to pay $45 to park since they weren’t staying at the hotel. The breakfast was included in our rate but it used to be an elaborate brunch that we were happy to pay for. We had a blow dryer in the bathroom that had the wrong attachment. We brought it to the font desk and they sent housekeeping with another. The second one had no attachment at all! There is no attention to detail. The rooms are looking very tired. This Marriott should not be part of the Bonvoy brand. We stayed at the Fourth in Atlanta last weekend and it was fantastic. It is also a Bonvoy property. We paid the same nightly rate )they charge for parking because there is no parking in the area and that was expected!) and the two are night and day. Cannot compare the fantastic Fourth to this property. The staff at the Fourth were fantastic. The staff at the Eagle crest (except at the bar and the breakfast) need a LOT more training. We will not be returning.

Worst experience at a hotels.com associated property. Waited to check in for 5 hours. Check in was stated to be 3pm - then waited until 8pm as no rooms were available per hotel staff. After requesting an act of goodwill or compensation, was given a $25 gift card that wasn’t flexible or actually useable during our one night stay. It seems according to hotel staff this occurs occasionally when opposing UofM college football teams stay and the game is scheduled in the evening. We will not be staying here again.

Hotel is fantastic. Only complaint is that they charge 30 USD/day for open air parking.

Friendly staff

Wonderful staff. The fitness center is great. The common areas are a bit dingy. We stayed for breakfast. The service was outstanding. The breakfast buffet was only OK.

Such a gorgeous property!
