Good location in Tribeca and right next to a subway stop to go uptown or over to Brooklyn. Room was on the small side and smelled musty. View out the window was a brick wall so not much natural light. Overall decent for the price (compared to other places in NYC)

This is our 2nd time in a year we’ve stayed at the Frederick, the most friendly and helpful staff ever. We’ll hopefully see them again super soon!!

This was a beautiful boutique hotel to stay at. Lovely location, great staff and pleasure to see Tribeca from. Love to stay again.

Small rooms, old carpets with a distinctive smell of smoke. Room poorly noise isolated hearing every little thing from the neighbors. Staff quite ignorant believing they are working at the Ritz.

If you want a boutique feel, as in the tiniest room you can imagine, this is your spot! Joking aside it was a great location with easy access to the subway directly under the hotel, breakfast included next door and very friendly hotel staff. The lounge area and bar is nice for an evening hang and great restaurants near by. For NYC maybe this is a typical room size but you could barely move around the bed and the view was a brick wall making it feel very closed in.

Breakfast is delicious. However our room smelled of humidity and masked cigarette odor. Was not offered upgrade upon arrival. Courtesy wine and tour should not be offered. Reduce rates instead. And mostly they overtook security deposit on credit card.

Room was small and dark smells stale

I refrained from leaving a review until I spoke with someone from the property after messaging them privately. I want to start by saying the stay was less than what I expected. Upon arrival I was offered to upgrade my room and to check in early. I declined and decided to walk instead. I came back 2.5 hours later (25 minutes before the check in time) and the womans attitude was completely different as she was short and kind of rude by waiting until 2:59 to go up to my room and place my "VIP" perk bottle in my room. Petty to say the least. I was not aware she made commission based off upgrades. The hotel itself was beautiful and clean. I was so excited to get a good night sleep when at 5 am I was startled awake by the NYFD pounding on my door and doing a room check. I was so shocked I had no words and the hotel employee apologized for the concern and left the area. I was shocked to smell smoke in the hall way and seeing people pack and leave. I asked someone what was happening and I was told they were informed to evacuate, funny how I was not told that info they just allowed me to stay on the floor. I grew anxious and decided to pack up and prepare to leave when a guest relayed the info that we were allowed to stay. I calmed down a bit and sat on my bed when I heard a pop and all the power went out. It truly was the icing on the cake but being 5 am I sat there and waited until sunrise. I got up to change I went down stairs and alert them and was just told "sorry about that'

Great accessibility!!!

I did a lot of research on hotels in the area beforehand and chose The Frederick Hotel because of the price, reviews, and location. So glad I did - The Frederick Hotel was clean (I am very picky about cleanliness), very well-maintained, comfortable bed, touches of old-fashioned NY elegance to add atmosphere, but modern amenities. Had dinner on the rooftop at their great Italian restaurant (also has a nice bar up there) with a view of One WTC and breakfast the next morning downstairs at the same restaurant. It was a free continental breakfast with fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereal, juice, etc. Delicious! The staff was so helpful and friendly every time I saw them! I will be staying here again for sure because I had a wonderful time.

This property had a vintage charm, yet it was clean and well kept. The staff were very attentive and friendly! The included breakfast was very well done, only wished they had some dairy free options. The AC worked fantastic in the humid NY heat. Subway stations were all right outside the hotel, making it super convenient. The garbage trucks outside the hotel do come by around 2am, so keep that in mind with some noise from the street. Although, we did not hear our neighbors in the hotel even once! I will be recommending this property to friends and will definitely stay here next time!

The hotel seemed to be in the middle of a construction site. We were woken up in the early AM and it was never disclosed to be outside our window. Also bugs in the bathroom didn't help the case. They also offer free breakfast which only consisted of a few basic items and did not note that outside the hotel guests could not attend.

Not much negative to say really. It's a New York hotel so the regular rooms are small. The issue in this case was the lack of storage and places to hang your stuff if you're staying for more than a couple of days. Especially if you are 2 persons in a room. Breakfast could be heavily improved, but surely is decent after all. It lacks options and the breakfast personel could refill faster than they do. The coffee is good! Overall impression of the hotel and its services are very good. Would consider coming back.

Property is conveniently located in Lower Manhattan

The staff was excellent! Although the rooms are small the location is great with regard to food options and transportation. The hotel aesthetics are nice. The breakfast isn't bad. Again the staff goes above and beyond!

I loved this hotel. The staff is really nice, everything was clean and in order. The breakfast was really complete and the subway station by the door was an extremely convenient way to move around NY.

Great location - our family of five stayed in the Tribeca suite and it was clean, nice, spacious and an awesome view of the World Trade Center. Fun, trendy vibe inside and at the bar. Nice, safe, friendly neighborhood with parking nearby that was discounted through the property. Several subway stops - one just outside the hotel. Room was cleaned every day and we had plenty of towels. Cool decor and stocked minibar.

Beware of "facility fee". I don't understand why the hotel didn't include the $41 (for one night) facility fee in the upfront room rate when booking. It felt sneaky. The "free breakfast" next door at Serafina was terrible. As it was free I was willing to accept anything as long as it was food, but it was the worst breakfast ever. I wish they just charged for it, and then provided decent food. Finally the hotel's website information on parking was insufficient. It tells you which parking lot to use, but it doesn't tell you that the discount code has to be picked up from the hotel BEFORE parking your car. I found that out after I parked the car prior to check in, (to enter the parking lot you have to use your credit card). The code that I got at check-in didn't work for me when I went back to pick up the car, so I paid an exorbitant rate for parking to add insult to injury. The above ruined the stay, which is a pity as the hotel itself, the location and the staff were wonderful. I takes a lot for me to get upset about a hotel, as I have travelled all my life, and take the ups and downs as they appear. But I had to share my experience with others on this one as the above could so easily be fixed: - Include the "facility fee" in the room rate - Improve the breakfast food available - even if you have to charge for it. - Make it clear on the hotel website that the parking discount code needs to be used when entering the automated parking lot facility.

Great hotel! Loved the room--small, but I was offered a quiet option and it actually was very quiet! No unpleasant odors anywhere on the property, including hallways and elevators, which is unusual these days. Staff is very professional and friendly.
