If you want to sleep this is not the hotel for you! Basically built IN a nightclub with music thumping until 5am, ear plus provided but offered little use as the music was SO loud. Room was basic but needed some TLC; flooring in bathroom peeling and generally grim, carpet had what looked like burn holes in it and some questionable stains. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone unless you plan on being in the nightclub until 5am then it’s perfect for you!

Staff were great and friendly. I travelled on my own and was made to feel welcome. The hotel was a bit shabby carpet need a good clean and shower need retiling but all and all a good experience

The stay was very good. The hotel is walking distance to both train station and to the City Centre. The staff are courteous and friendly. Great amenities nearby.

No air conditioning in the room, it was like an oven.

They had booked the last room 456 so long distance from lift and would not change it. Initially once you opened the front door there was a dirty smell as room was unused. Every time I opened the bathroom door there was a dirty smell. I did in reception. People banging doors and alarms going off

Poor quality and customer service can be improved

Night shifts colleagues were not helpful, but the morning team was full of energy and keen to help customers. Rooms are poorly maintained. Our room was full of dust, and I was struggling with dust allergy issues after we vacated. Not value for the money spent. They have a good advantage of hotel location but need further improvements in customer services and room maintenance

Position in relation to the coach station is brilliant, one can walk around the corner. Clean and great one can check out at 12. After travelling for more than 25hrs checking out at 12 is great.

No temperature control or condition. Double room had only one chair. No table. Room for two guests had only one set of towels. Everything very used and worn. Interconnecting door with next room had no lock or bolt and indeed opened in the middle of the night!

It was good but keys card was keep on giving problems.

Needs to make sure whether the rooms have enough milk and sugar for next day

Closer to railway station

It was suitable for my needs. Room was cleaned everyday which is quite unusual now but this sets Ibis apart from other hotels who are saving money by not doing daily cleaning. Standard of cleaning can be improved though as there were hair left in the sink and on the bed cover. What must be improved as well are the troublesome key cards that frequently do not work as well as the level of customer service of the female counter staff. The male ones would go out of their way to help but the female ones were not willing to offer help even when asked. They’d rather have you come down to replace the card keys than for them to go up and go the extra mile to please their customers. Kudos to the male staff and the guard who are always smiling and seem to be happy to see customers coming in to the hotel.

The card entry system broke down three times with me.

Exactly what to expect from an Ibis Staff were friendly, great location, handy parking at the back for only £8 per day, second time staying here, and will again as it's perfect as a bed and shower when visiting family.

We was up for the Saint's Awards dinner & always book into the hotel as its not to far from the ground & easy walk to the bars afterwards

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was not the first time. The staff are friendly and helpful when required.

Very uncomfortable bed with 1 tiny pillow per person, poorly designed shower that made a mess every time we used it, and a tv that came straight out of 2005. There also seemed to be a dance hall directly under the hotel that played loud EDM until 03:00 (on a Friday and Saturday). We may have heard it more because we had to keep the window open to get some air going through the room

None of the room doors were soft close. Kept awake by guests who were going in & out of their rooms throughout the night. Some questionable stains on the bed room walls. Key cards did not always work in the lift. I would not recommend during the summer as no air con. If you open your windows, you subjected to boy racers most of the night. Breakfast was ok and did not have to pay for my 10 year old kid. Laundry appeared clean and bathroom ok.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was nice and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

What are those beds? I booked a twin room, and the beds are NOT single beds. They’re ironing boards. Where do you even buy beds this thin? It’s a shame because everything else was perfectly fine. But for this reason I will not be booking an Ibis again.

Convenient location. Not a fancy place but it was clean and more than sufficient for one night.

The staff here are 5 star. It's a budget hotel you expect things to be basic but everything was clean and fully functional. All the staff I came across were so helpful, friendly and efficient. I really enjoyed my stay, I felt better looked after than in some luxury hotels that I have stayed in and I would definitely stay again. Car park is a public car park but plenty of spaces and right at the front door of the hotel. Breakfast was great, unrushed even though we only got there with 5 mins to spare and the Chorizo sausages deserve a mention too ..nice touch!
