Small-ish but perfect rooms. All amenities one would expect. So nice to sit out on the terrace. Gardeners arrived outside mid-morning though — thankfully we had the sheers closed as we were organising ourselves inside!

Wasn't what we expected and wouldn't have chosen it on paper. Was very pleasantly surprised. Simple, very well kept. Right on waters edge with view of Marina and access to walk about and look at boats. Very quaint private patios with Adirondack chairs and leg rests set out on the lawn with a covered patio with 2 chairs and a table in case of rain. Very clean, very well kept, brite, super convenient walk to shopping and dining. Reasonably priced. Would stay again.

I really enjoyed the ease of check in and that all the rooms are on the ground level with parking right outside your door. The room are tastefully decorated and recently remodeled.
The beach is a short walk and there are several restaurants nearby. Dock Square is also a short walk with shops, coffee shops, and restaurants that are all excellent.
Watching the boats coming in and going out is very peaceful. It was a very relaxing experience.

Great few of the Kennebunkport River. You can just sit in the adirondack chairs and enjoy the boats going passing by.

Really neat swanky inn with lots of relaxing charm. Upscale products and decor. Great alternative to a classic hotel and more quiet than a traditional inn. Limited food options on site.

Newly redone rooms in desirable waterfront setting. You can walk to everything from this location. The little check in area that turns to a bar during sunset is lovely. We will stay again.

Yachtsman I n was an excellent place for us. We loved being able to look out at the water from our patio and it was close to restaurants and shopping in Kennebunkport.

Beautiful location. Loved being directly on the harbor and the electric fireplace was a fun touch. Bummed there wasn’t a continental breakfast which was advertised.

I didn’t realize the Yachtsman was a former motel. The rooms are currently very nice and the location is convenient. In the summer I think it would be more pleasant. Off season I would prefer to stay in an enclosed hotel, I should have researched my choice more thoroughly.
Also there was no staff and checkin was self guided and a little confusing.

We enjoyed our stay but don’t expect anything but the room if you are there in the off season. It is all self service, which was fine for us, but not for all.

No staff available for check in a 6:00 pm. Asked to go to a sister property a half mile away to pick up key cards. Not very welcoming after traveling all day!

Gorgeous hotel on the river. Very quiet, relaxing and convenient for all that Kennebunkport has to offer.
This is not a full service hotel, so one must recognize this when booking here. However, breakfast and happy hour is as described and the town has plenty of excellent food options.

The Yachtsman was so charming - perfect walkable location to town, and the rooms were so charming, clean, and well decorated. View from the rooms was beautiful as well!

So glad we opted for this spot on our NE road trip. It’s lovely! Our colorful room and fireplace were so inviting. Then you walk out your door and sit with a glass of wine watching the marina. It’s s 10 🙌 the entire town is perfect.

Property has great views of the river. Nicely decorated. Only con is not much staff around - a bit self service for the price. But, I guess the Inn has staff shortage like much of Maine.

The Yachtsman was unique in that the "front" didn't appear great but inside the room was very nice. The main attraction is on the patio out back where every room has an amazing view of the river & marina. It's so peaceful to sit & watch the kayakers, boats, ducks, etc. go up & down the river.
Bonus - the room has a Keurig machine & stocked mini-fridge. There is also coffee in the "office" area and a pastry is delivered each morning to your room.
Only suggestion is that black tea is also offered for tea drinkers. Also have milk available for those who do not like cream. Otherwise, it is a great place near downtown!

Charming newly renovated room with many amenities. Big sliding glass door out to a private patio, with gorgeous view of the Kennybunk river. We will definitely stay here when we return.

My wife and I were there for a 3 day vacation. Contactless registration and room access worked flawlessly. Room was clean and lovely. Private area outside looking out on the marina was beautiful and very peaceful. We highly recommend this hotel and will come back to stay here next time we're in Maine.

I absolutely loved this hotel, yes it’s a little pricey but all the nice hotels in the area seem to be around the same. Motels are an option if you want something for $100 a night. This hotel is gorgeous, room is lovely and they had a lovely touch of delivering a contactless breakfast each morning.The cherry on top is your own personal seating area out back right on the marina, gorgeous setting. A lot of the amenities weren’t yet open when we stayed in May but I loved this place. Would highly recommend and I’d definitely stay again.

Excellent stay in Kennebunkport! Large, clean, well appointed rooms with covered and uncovered outdoor spaces directly on the water. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location and amenities including free breakfast and bikes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be back.
