Beautiful resort and recently updated, the chef is amazing!! Quiet and peaceful for a relaxing stay

We were super impressed with our stay at Rocky’s. The staff were so warm and friendly and kind. Nothing was any trouble and the facilities were all kept clean. Lots of little extra touches made the experience so enjoyable. BBQ Dinner on the beach on a Saturday night - complimentary cocktails for an hour Thursday night. Happy hour (for two hours) every night. If you don’t want to leave the hotel you don’t need to! Two pools to choose from. Pool table and library. The beach for a swim or take out the sup / canoe for a paddle. Plenty to do!

Very cute beach resort, tastefully decorated with a good restaurant, 2 nice pools and very kind and helpful staff. The beach is small, the sand is course and the water not great for swimming. We stayed in a garden room and if we were to go here again would definitely spring for the pool or sea view rooms as they offer better views and more privacy.

Stayed for a few days here and we were delighted all round. Staff were friendly and always helpful. We enjoyed the pool and great access to the ocean. Highly recommend

An excellent hotel with wonderful staff, highly recommended.

Overall a nice experience. Modern and spacious rooms, two nice pool areas, helpful and nice staff, overall good food. Things that could have been better: 1) Prices: The restaurant at the hotel is way overpriced, around 3 times what you would pay at a local restaurant. They add 20% service charge on all food & drink bills. 2) Location: Feels a bit far from things you would want to see on the island. There is a shuttle service until 5 pm, at the top of each hour. For a hotel of this level, I'd have expected the shuttle service to be much more frequent and easier to book. We ended up using taxis a lot, which was an added expense. 3) Spa: No health forms or injury questions before a massage. You just walk in and they start. I had to warn about an ankle injury during a massage.

I was nearly a bit cautious about booking Rocky’s because they had so many good reviews I wondered if it was real. I’m so glad I went ahead - this is a hotel that deserves them all. We had a magnificent stay here and were made to feel so welcome by the staff, delicious breakfast, amazing room on the beach….we could go on, but this would rank amongst the one of the best stays I’ve had worldwide. Only one negative - Rocky’s also unfortunately refers to the beach in parts, but the resort does provide reef shoes.

Rocky’s was AMAZING! The staff were incredible, the grounds of the resort are magically beautiful, and the restaurant had absolutely delicious food. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience overall.

Beautiful hotel and beach front area. The staff were superb from start to finish. Fantastic stay.

Stayed here with our 14 month old in a pool suite villa. It was ideal, we moved from the beach to the pool, the pool to the beach. Staff were amazing and new our sons name for every meal. Highly recommend this place! I would stay here again. The transfer to and from the airport also had a baby seat for the car!

Thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay at Rocky’s. Cannot rate the experience highly enough. The staff were super friendly and the experience living on the ocean and poolside was awesome. We’ll be back next year!

Great hotel, team and service overall. A little out of the way and taxis not always available to flag down. However, there’s drivers who sometimes give out business cards so can drop them a message for pick up. Breakfast is solid mix of western and Thai :) Beach is not really a beach given how rocky it is - I got an injury whilst there - but take a taxi to Lamai beach (3 mins) and you’re all good.

Fantastic staff - they go the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. Lovely pool, beach and restaurant area, also the rooms are spacious and clean. Highly recommend this hotel.

What was meant to be a 6 night stay turned into a 18 night stay! We were very happy with our stay at the hotel which ticked all the boxes in terms of comfort, cleanliness and service. The front line staff were highly attentive, friendly and courteous. It was refreshing to see the management team take time out to speak to guests and going out of their way to make themselves approachable. Admittedly, having a room less than 10 metres from the sea did wonders for a positive sentiment about the hotel, though it also helps that none of the team were prone to complacency.

Amazing place & service... loved everything! They are just brilliant, organised everything from themed evening dinners and setups on beach for a romantic dinner under the stars, great cocktails in the bars too... Can’t wait to be back to this oasis of tranquillity.

Overall we found Rocky’s as an excellent property with the great accomodation offering and pools. Food at the resort was also enjoyable (with only one below par dish during our entire stay, which happened to be a most expensive dish). Additional services offered by the resort itself (I.e transfers, tours, Poolside meals, etc.) were executed well and professionally. We did have a island tour arranged by the hotel with an external party, which unfortunately did not live up to our expectations, although it would be hard to entirely blame the resort for this! Overall we were very pleased with our stay! Thank you!

Very friendly and caring staff in a beautiful resort. We had a great vacation there...

We as family of two adults and two young girls had a fantastic 4 nights/5 days stay at Rocky’s boutique resort at the end of December 2019. There were many excellent things to mention including , the lovely accommodation spread out amongst exquisite and beautifully maintained resort grounds . There are various nooks and crannies which are well done. We had a lovely private boat trip on Josephine and captain Bao and his helper were superb. The fishing and snorkelling was very good. The next day we had a private island tour. Pools are on smaller side but very well maintained. The private beach is small but clean and good. The bbq night with fire dancers was wonderful.The breakfast buffet was excellent. Ala Cart food at both restaurant and bistro were very good. Pizzas were outstanding. Overall staff were friendly and very efficient. Special mention to Alex the manager, Arianne, Jack at the fine dining restaurant , Sao at the noodle counter. What could be improved a bit more : the private island car trip driver could be more interactive and give general trip details of places visiting or worth visiting.

We had a fantastic time at Rockys. The attention to detail throughout the property is amazing. The staff went beyond expectations to treat us so well. The buffet breakfast was one of the best Ive had. In general, food, service and amenities were 5 star. And the peaceful and beautiful location was paradise.

The staff were brilliant, they couldnt do enough to make our stay more enjoyable. Rockys Boutique Resort is an absolute Gem of a place, a true treasure. I honestly have absolutely nothing bad to say about the place. If you visit Koh Samoi and you are looking for luxury and relaxation? Then this is the place to go!
