Too much negativity to elaborate

Never got to stay at the Woodspring Suites in Ankeny, IA, as booked through Expedia and no room was available when we arrived. The property is an undeveloped area and seemed a lil shady. The front desk clerk, Jacob, was very understanding and helpful. He assisted in our relocation effort with Expedia and we really appreciated his assistance and insight.

I drove around the hotel 3 times trying to find the main entrance. The room was undecorated with no floor or table lighting. Don’t stay here for only 1 night and expect a typical hotel.

Management doesn’t care about patrons, changed checkout date and this place is not an extended stay hotel. Second worst WoodSpring suit I have ever stayed at.

This was the absolute worst bed I've ever slept in! I think the mattress must've been about 20 years old! It was on a metal frame with no box spring. If I would've had another option, I would have checked out and stayed somewhere else. This was unfortunately state fair time and rooms were scarce.

I knew this was a bare bones extended stay hotel, but I feel like I need to take 2 showers when i get home. Migrant workers roaming the halls stinking it up. The bed was the worst hotel bed ever. Imagine matress springs with a thin sheet covering them and you're just laying on them. It worked in a pinch as i only stayed to get 3-4hrs sleep after the Knoxville Nationals but I will never stay here again.

Property smelled

It was filthy and smelled heavily of cigarettes... the check in was a window with a lock metal grate...first sign i should have ran... fools you bc the outside looks like a new building.. the cigarette smell kept me up all night

Looks nice from the outside. Wish I had looked at the reviews before booking. Front desk is NOT staffed 24/7 as listed on travelocity. Only time we saw someone was at check in. Room seemed dated and the bed was not comfortable. Decided to use the couch pull out which was smaller than a twin and smelled of urine. There were no extra sheets for the pull out in the room so we had to call the hotel multiple times to actually get sheets for the couch. Checking out was confusing as there was no staff to talk to or key drop. Would not reccomend or stay here again.

Worst experience ever, no staff on duty, bathroom dirty, hair in the tub, handprint on wall, overcharged for rooms/charged as a transaction and not a "hold" FOR $200 TRANSACTION AND NEVER PROVIDED A RECEIPT FOR HOLD UPON CHECK IN OR CHECK OUT as I was told by Drew, no one EVER answers the phone, 1 bar of soap given and it had been opened already, deactivated key card before 11am check out. PEOPLE WALKING AROUND WITHOUT SHOES. $50 Charge if you don't take out your garbage, $50 charge if you check out after 11am but there was no one on duty to check you out. Checked out by head of housekeeping after using after hours phone and given receipt but it did not list the checkout time NOR THE $200 TRANSACTION THEY CHARGED TO MY ACCOUNT. DREW SAID IT WOULD BE EMAILED TO ME, NEVER RECEIVED AN EMAIL. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, DON'T STAY HERE, NOT SAFE AND THEY ARE DISHONEST. NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY, WOULDN'T LET MY DOG STAY HERE!!!!

They lady came down with her breast hanging out!Room was dirty bad smell stains on the wall! Beds sucked! Walls really thin my daughter and I could hear the neighbors getting it on! Also could hear there dog bark! Wouldn’t recommend unless it’s your last hope!

They were listed as pet friendly but charged a $100 pet fee plus $150 deposit. The room was very spartan. Only chairs were for a table that doubles as a desk. No luggage stand. This was not a place for a extended stay. If this was the only place to stay, i would sleep in my car.

Property was isolated and uncomfortable with area. Not a hotel but a place for people to move in for a week or months. They indicated that reservation did not reach them and they did not accept me as a customer. Would not stay in an area with no other people around. Would have been uncomfortable to walk the dog. Not safe for one alone.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very professional, respectful, and, kind. There were 2 issues. My key(s) had to be reset a few times. When coming in from a long day that can be upsetting and there were dogs unleashed. No good! Overall, the stay was awesome.

Clean, had a whole kitchen in there. No ice, no shampoo. There was soap.

It was a simple, no nonsense room with no closet. It was clean.

The beds were just a mattress thrown on a cheap frame. It was warped from people laying on it, it hurt so bad trying to sleep on it, I ended up moving the mattress to the floor.

Was okay but, neighbors upstairs was too loud at night.

Was promised a room with 2 beds. Instead they were overbooked and could only give us 2 separate rooms. Very unhappy!

There wasn't anything to like the staff ruined it right away and if you show them the survey I'm not going to be happy is there something that needs to be done about what they did
