Room was nice but no outdoor space. Pool area was great ,having a hot spring pool on site was lovely. Dining room was lovely with a nice atmosphere, food was a little bland and expensive. Bar area lacked atmosphere ad wasn’t very welcoming. There was a lovely area beside the dining room to sit but that didn’t seem to be used and had no bar which was a shame. Overall stay was good.

A good hotel - rooms size is ok but not an excess of space for storage of luggage. Good large clean bathroom and comfortable bed, very quiet. Buffet breakfast excellent with v friendly staff. Nice spacious dining area. Outdoor warm pool great though could go with some sunshades. Indoor pool v hot but that’s why you come to mineral spar hotel. Only real complaint was gym, far too hot at 27 to 30c portable aircon woefully inadequate good range of weights and limited multi use gym machine, running machines totally dilapidated any way far too hot for aerobic exercise.
Hotel is in great location for local restaurants and seeing hot springs. Also good base for exploring eastern end of island,

On the edge of the town, surrounded by beautiful Parkland. This small top of the range hotel really has no falts that I I could find. The service was great throughout, the decor and rooms were well appointed. The pools and spa were amazing, completely unique. I eat dinner and breakfast there and really, they were top notch. This is a rather boring review, but it must be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It is expensive, and often hotels at this price can't be as good as you hope, but this one is, at least for me. Whether there's enough here to stay for, say, a week I'm not so sure. I stayed for one night and it was the most memorable part of my stay in the Azores.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel and felt welcome, comfortable and safe. We chose this hotel primarily because of the spa area with 2 pools and 3 saunas. We always really enjoyed this spa area.
The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The chambermaids even vacuumed the carpet every time they cleaned the room; we think that's absolutely brilliant.
We only used the breakfast buffet; we really enjoyed it (especially the orange juice and the delicious scrambled eggs).
We can only recommend this hotel; it's just great!

The location was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a couple issues with the our room, mostly that the shower didn’t drain and would overflow onto the bathroom floor within minutes. It was a bummer to have an upgraded room with the pool, and be dealing with a silly issue like that.

Awesome hotel! The staff were wonderful and the room was well appointed! Loved the big towels and comfy robes. The bed was a little firm for my preference.
The hot spring pool is amazing. Spent hours there relaxing and taking advantage of the sauna and Turkish bath as well. I used the gym twice and had no problems, though one of the treadmills wasn’t working.
Would definitely come back!

The heated pools of various temperatures, saunas, and the location near gardens and a cute town filled with thermal pools was truly lovely. The hotel was nice in many ways and the staff was helpful. My only reservations about it were that it was roughly double the price of other hotels including the other Octant hotel in Punta Delgada.

The water features where amazing. The facility was beautiful, but a bit rough in some of the rooms from what appeared to be water damage.The staff was wonderful and genuinely interested in enhancing your stay. Joao helped us prepare a Cozido, where we placed food in a large pot that we later transported to the inground ovens heated by the volcano. It was delicious. Very memorable.

The place is beautiful, everyone was helpful and accommodating. The thermal spa was a great bonus during our stay and the restaurant is very pretty and relaxing and the breakfast buffet was great.

Overall a really nice hotel. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The spa facilities were really good and the pools were amazing. My only gripe would be that, for the price, the rooms could do with a bit of TLC. There were a few cracks here and there and our room was a bit damp. Also the coffee served in the bar was just Nespresso pods, which is such a shame in Portugal where the coffee is generally so good!

This was the best hotel stay my husband and I have ever had. The staff went out of their way to make everyone comfortable. We were here for our honeymoon and they made such a big deal for us that we felt like celebrities. Great place to stay.

This is the best hotel in Furnas. Amazing service and attention to detail. The thermal pools, sauna and Turkish bath are amazing. The breakfast buffet is really amazing and plentiful. You can create your own tea, they have assorted milks, fresh juice and coffee. They have fresh options for all diets. The vibe of this hotel is unmatched. We had the best massage, scrub and facial at the spa and loved the relaxed out of the way amenities. This place makes you feel like you are in a luxurious garden get away.

Unlike the Octant Ponta Delgada, the spa was much larger, nicer and did not require reservations. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The only issue was our room, 120, was right next to the road and traffic noise was annoying. Ask to not be placed there.

Staff were all hepful and very approachable! Loved the thermal baths and spa: in general the resort was very relaxing with serene feel, food was great (free breakfast was plentiful) and great setting.

This hotel used to be a public hospital which was converted into a hotel.
With what they had to work with, they did an amazing job!
However, be aware that the rooms are very small.
The service was impeccable. The staff was always available to help.
The only reason to stay here is the large thermal pool.
At $300 (US Dollars) one could go elsewhere.
But if you want to use the pool, this is very appropriate.
Breakfast was AMAZING !!!

Excellent spot in Furnas. You get use of the thermal pools and sauna/turkish bath included. Select the terrace room with own pool. Food was excellent.
