In dire need of interior remodel/ updating! The front desk service was very friendly and easy check in. My stay was five nights and my room was semi cleaned twice... which consisted of towel swap and partial garbage removal. Towels were worn out and rough, blanket had visible stains evidence that they had not been laundered. Bedspreads had cigarette burn holes and most likely not cleaned. Pillows had dirty hair smell. Water temperature was great, although sink faucet was very difficult to turn on and leaked. Tub had stains and consistent leak from faucet, toilet Bowl was very stained. Outlets were not securely attached to the walls. Overhead light as you entered the room was dim... probably need light bulbs replaced. Carpet was very stained and worn, be sure to keep your shoes on! Driveway to the lodgements needs attention. Very quiet and peaceful in the lodgement area, where I stayed. Walking distance to an excellent Mexican restaurant and Speedway gas station, close proximity to other restaurants, businesses. Would only return if lodgements are updated.

This place was straight out of the 1970's, you even fill out a Guest Registration CARD, yes, that's right, an actual card that you write on with a pen. I haven't done that in tbe US for over 30 years. :)
This place is super retro, a blast from the past, the staff was super friendly and the bed was comfy, the place could have been cleaner but it was okay. If you want to experience an old school motel, this is the place. :)

Property was alright but a little run down. Bed was comfortable. Internet was poor.

Ants ruins food and wasp fell out of the bathroom exhaust fan. I expected older feel but it’s not kept up. Ladders in the bushes and over growth around buildings has made it a bug haven. Ruined a $40 pizza with ants and wasn’t excited about the wasps coming out of the exhaust fan. When I told the receptionist she said “ oh wow” clearly didn’t care and wasn’t shocked as the statement might lead you to believe.

The property overbooked, so we did not receive the two queen beds as booked - instead there was a rollout cot. An $11 discount was applied, but we definitely wanted the second bed over the discount. The walls are very thin, and we heard the neighbors throughout the night. The property is more rundown than the pictures indicate. The staff is very friendly at least.

Good price and had a pleasant stay. Everything was clean and no surprises

The sheets have holes in them and our room smelled terrible.

Dripping faucets, poor drainage sink and carpet filthy

Good economic spot for Boone. Close drive to downtown. Nice balcony and roomy space

While a nice place in the area, it is very old and in need of major overhauls. The bathroom sink leaked and the floor was buckled, the shower head was jet powered and when you bumped it, it sprayed water out of the fittings. The overall decor was dated well into last century .
The smell of marijuana was strong coming down from other guests.
Staff was awesome - wish the facility could meet their attitude.

the reception staff categorizes you by your appearance,
They argue that they usually do not allow construction workers access to this cabin.

Expedia listing said three bedrooms. Property only had 1.5 bedrooms which wasn't good enough. Turns out they only gave us part of the property and there was another part.locked up. We called the manager and eventually worked it out and got the keys to the other property. It was dirty and dated. Wouldn't stay there again

The grounds around the hotel are really nice. If you have a dog, in the back there is room to run for them. It was pretty quiet and it was really easy to navigate. Beds were clean, however there was a pillow in the closet with hair from a dog all over it.
The down side was that the facility has not been updated in many many years. There was a yellow jacket infestation on the back porch and we had to move the chairs to the front porch where you sat out in the open and had to see the people coming in and out. The lamp had no light in it and the shade was filthy with weird stains. The bathroom was really small and the toilet was located right in the middle of the bathroom. No vending, if you want ice you have to go all the way to the front office and if you are located in the back it's quite a hike. Front staff was relatively friendly.

The cabins are definitely by themselves. Our cabin had an old waterbed frame with mirrors above the bed. Made for interesting conversation with 2 just out of college kids. Haha. Would for sure stay again staff was very friendly and check in was quick and easy.

Carpet felt sticky and the toilet seat was all beat up. Looked like the original seat. Could use some updating for the price per night. Staff was great and the jacuzzi was a vibe.

Room not what photos indicated. Not well lit, rug in front of fire place ragged, must odor. Cannot recommend. We actually did not spend the night . Checked out and received 1/2 of our money back which I thought was fair as we had used commode. Really didn’t care for mirrors over the bed. Not prudish just thought it was tacky.

We really enjoyed staying in the cabin it was spacious and comfortable but most of all relaxing.

This had to be the absolute worst place I’ve ever spent the night in my life!! I wish I had taken more pictures. If I would’ve had the money to stay somewhere else I would’ve left! Cobwebs with spiders attached. Torn wallpaper and insulation hanging out between the “log cabin” wall and ceiling!! The lighting was so dim you couldn’t see anything. The light bar in the bathroom was rusty and only had two burning bulbs. One burnt out and the other was just a dark rust hole that probably led to hell! The exhaust fan didn’t work nor did the light and it was thick and caked with nasty dusty stuff. Half of the locks didn’t work. Oh and the carpet. I wouldn’t let the grandchild walk on it will bare feet and neither did we!! Dropped an article of clothing by accident and it stuck to the carpet. Gross is an understatement!! I wouldn’t recommend anything about this place but it should be condemned!! Stayed one night to take the baby to Tweetsie then left and drove home. Wasn’t about to sleep twice there!!

I was in town for a full marathon.
Traveling With my mom and two dogs. I was looking for a dog friendly, convenient location, affordable place to sleep comfortable and shower. This motel met all my expectations. I do recommend.

Great cabin! Needed a few Lightbulbs. Has everything you need to be comfortable!

For the price I expected better. Property and furniture/bed were stuck in the 80’s. Sadly very run down. Cable was out for quite some time. Mattress was so concaved I felt like I was fighting for my life trying to sleep. Walls were thin and could hear others conversations. Parking areas had lots of pot holes. Left at dawn.

Old property with very dated features. Nice management but still lacks amenities.

Run down, back door lock was completely broken. Beds were not comfortable, on run down, wooden frame. Dimly lit. Not worth the money.

The hotel is simply old but serviceable. I would stay again but with a better understanding of what it is. Biggest problem was sink would spray you.

Roaches and burned out lights. Bedbugs. Not clean.

There were roaches everywhere. I did not have hot water the evening I checked in nor the following morning I checked out. Maintenance said it was due to many people using the hot water at the same time. I’m positive there were not many people using the hot water at 11:00pm the night before. I asked for the owner / manager to return my call to resolve issue before I send this review. It’s been 2 weeks now without a response from management.

This place is borderline dump. Pics of the room don’t tell the real picture. Roaches and bugs in the room, not very clean, things falling apart, musty smell and the list goes on. Look somewhere else for a hotel room.

The room was spacious and had a deck (a plus!). Decor was dated but made it feel cozy. Internet worked on my cell phone but would not stay connected more than 3 minutes on my laptop. This was inconvenient as I needed to get work done. The hard beds made for a poor night's sleep. If you like hard beds and don't need a strong internet, than it may work for you. Its in a nice wooded setting and also on 105, which means the sound of traffic is present all day. Around 11 pm though, it becomes quiet until morning. Staff were underwhelming.

Room was dated but clean and comfortable enough. No frills but was nice to be away from the road.

Sorry but I had to fix the bathroom toilet. it was running when we when in and no one was in the office when I called, but she was short of help. Not worth the money to stay there again.

Nice property in nice area. Property was clean and close to everything. Only thing I didn't like was guest close by was very noisy late at night.

Staff was very helpful and friendly but the room had a bad oder in it. The bathroom had a disgustingly stained toilet and tub. I refused to use either. Almost every tile in bathroom was cracked.

Cheap but certainly no frills accommodation. Good to be close to great food options of Pedalin Pig Smokehouse and Troy's Diner.

Needed a table for micro to sit upon and the mini fridge never got cold but we were there overnight so got some ice and kept everything in our cooler. Cute room and quite.
